We just stayed in Beaune in June after leaving Lyon on our way back to Paris. We stayed in an apartment in the town square across from the church. We loved this little town. Unfortunately we arrived late on Saturday and missed the fresh market that morning, but the restaurant food was amazing. The Hospice was very impressive too, especially for my wife who is a nurse. We will definitely stay here again on a future visit to France. Antoine is always so fun to watch, but this time he was more entertaining than ever. Thanks so much for another wonderful video.

So, this is where I live. Well in a small village 5km or so outside. Been here 14yrs now and doubt we’ll leave. Sorry to say it, but we dislike the majority of (even French) tourists because they have become increasingly disrespectful over the years. It’s nice to welcome those who appreciate the place though and behave.
Yes, and part of behaving is being mindful that in even in wine regions and other tourist hot-spots, there live people who are just trying to go about their everyday business. They're going to work or school, buying groceries, looking after their families, etc. Treating where they live like it's your personal amusement park is not cool. "Shhh" indeed.
Folks visiting the UK should not use the Foval power adaptor, as the Type G plug is both dangerous and illegal as it has a non conducting Earth pin and lacks a fuse. UK power circuits are on a ring and a faulty appliance could draw sufficient power to overheat cables and start a fire.

French wines are great, but trifle misunderstood. In any case, don't blame France! I recall being young and buying $/€40 bottles of (red) Bordeaux wines leaving me very disappointed. At that time, I wasn't aware most clairets as well as wines in general need to be aerated. Furthermore, I did't know many high quality French wines actually are meant to be aged several years after purchase in order to develop their full potential. Bourgogne/Burgundy wines are a completely different story. Most of them don't age well at all. Personally, I'm very fond of red wines from the French wine districs south of the famous Bordeaux area. This evening, I'll be enjoying a classic piece of art made of Carignan grapes from Languedoc-Roussillon. It costed me only $/€ 9.
Thanks to you all my boss whose floors I have just finished cleaning here Saturday afternoon, is now on the phone ordering these superlative wines by the case from her favourite wine emporium in Paris, should not have given those names out, and just to make up her order, cheese and champagne. All without moving from her kitchen stool and without the house manager. EEK!
Antoine, while you’re good at capturing the Bourdaine swagger, it I think sends a very bad message to viewers of treating the country like an amusement park and personal bucket list, especially since not everyone will be in on the joke. Long-time viewers know and love the real you (for as true as that can be on TH-cam). Please keep this channel about responsible, individual, human-scale and humble enjoyment. Merci, mon ami!🙏
@LesFrenchiesTravel I know it was your voice, but the scripting seemed vastly different compared to previous episodes. I'm sure you used to say TGV instead of bullet train and there were a few other occasions where me and my partner looked at each other and thought: something is different.
I, personally, would advise anyone not to join this group or subscribe to these videos. I had the audacity to call out a lady on this site who was criticising hotel room cleanliness. I was branded 'an enemy of the US' by many commenters. Well.... my holidays will be spent in France from now on (and always have been). Go ahead and vote Trump. (Which is a fart in 'real' English). I won't be visiting you anytime soon.
