Whenever the Frenchies show something like a charcuterie board, I run to my deli shops and buy the food to imitate the experience. Today it will be champagne and cheese and charcuterie etc. I am privileged: I could easily drive to France (30 minutes) and buy it there, but the weather is not inviting today.
These visits to the different regions of France are wonderful, thank you so much for taking us along! This trip was a lot of fun. Having breakfast with Colleen & Antoine on Saturdays is a great way to start the day. I just wish I had a glass of champagne to go with it! 😊🥂
Wonderful video of the area!!! We were so excited to bump into LES FRENCHIES during filming of this and how they took a QUICk moment to say hello and take a picture. Thank you for a great memory...... Keep filming and sharing beautiful France!
Of all the plethora of videos we have been watching for planning our trip in 2025, we are now pretty much limiting to yours. Love your down to earth, practical style and the little touch of humour. Thank you!
Hi Antoine and Coleen, how can we say thanks to you to let us travel with you with your wonderfull vidéos and your kindness, you are making our days much better every time we share a moment with both of you
My list of place to go, things to do and eat and drink is getting long - thanks to you guys! Loved the video and we were even treated to a full body dance Antoine! You guys are just the definition of fun!
Hello Frenchies, I have just spent seven days in Paris and your TH-cam channel was my complete guide and it was absolutely perfect and I really appreciate your advice. Thank you very much.
Your video this morning is such a blast from my past. I did a day trip from Paris to Reims in fall of 2021 with a tour of 3 small family-owned vineyards and saw many of the sites in your video: Reims Cathedral, the gravesite of Dom Perignon and the luscious Champagne region countryside. This is so doable as a day trip from Paris - I can highly recommend it. I took the morning train and booked an afternoon tour leaving the morning to explore the cathedral and city of Reims and came back by train to Paris in the early evening. After watching your video I spent a happy morning perusing my own photos of the trip which makes me want to go back there. Thanks for reminding me how lovely it was.
I can’t say enough how much we appreciate you two. We took so many tips from your videos into our experiences. Notre Dame Reims, Chez René, and soooo many more. You two made our Paris experience exactly what we wanted it to be. Merci boucoup 🙏
We were on our way to Strasbourg from Paris and decided to stop a few days to visit the Champagne region. What a delight 😊 Of course, we had to visit the famous houses, but we much preferred Mercier and Demoiselle where we had tastings of the demi-sec rosé champagne. We bought a few bottles to bring home (Canada). Our home base was Épernay at La Cave de l ‘Avenue de Champagne, a real treat. Reims is a must-see and the cathedral is magnifique!
Merci Les Frenchies. Yet again you have produced a well timed video on a region of France we are planning to visit next year. Getting all the more excited for 2025 European Tour. Alle on y va.
hello Frenchies I am French and live halfway between Paris and the Champagne region..in Provins, a medieval city listed by UNESCO..I am delighted to see you so happy to visit my country and to show it around so beautifully..I wish you many visits
Woooooo! These vlogs are very interesting! Every week I am learning and adding a few or one word in French ever since my trip to France 🇫🇷 last year as my birthday present (December 28, 2023)! Je parle peu français! Je parle anglais! Je parle Filipino!
Good job. Some may enjoy the Verdun bunkers memorials and museums, day trip doable. Beauvais has the highest nave in the world but tbh every cathedral has unique features. In my opinion quite under rated monuments. Troyes, then Colmar, Haut-Koenigsbourg castle may be worth a stop in the Strasbourg area.
Ah, brings back memories of many moons ago. We did tour at Épernay and visited Moët et Chandon. Then to Reims and visited Mumm. Outside the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, we at lunch at Gueuleton Reims, one of the best duck casserole I ever had. It was almost like pulled confit du canard duck meat in a Shepard's pie? It was awesome.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. You are both so charming and have such exciting videos. It is enticing me to put France at the top of my travel list! The food, wine, and so many places to see! ❤
Our son has a wine and spirits business here in Bayview, WI (near Milwaukee). He just returned from a 12 day adventure in France - Champagne, Burgundy and a couple other places - forging relationships with growers and wineries.
As I am running a bit late here in London 15:36 local time,my boss has sat with me watching Le Frenchies and on the phone with the food hall with Selfridges and Harrods, the woman is a multi-tasker of spending. She also texted her PA,for pick up Monday, for lorries of champagne be picked up ASAP for the coming Summer parties with the cheeses.I can but weep for the expenditure Le Frenchies inflict on madame. Talk about influence.
Pop that cork, Colleen!🍾 The Cathedral in Reims is stunning...and I've seen many. What a fun day learning about champagne, drinking champagne, drinking more champagne! 😁 and only 90 minutes there/180 back! Loved this. 👋 from Wisconsin 🍻
It's always great time for Champagne!! amazing video guys! one of my favorite one day trips from Paris is just wander around in Reims and drink bubbles ^^ I've visited some of the famous houses, I'll definitely go and check out the small ones next time, thank you for the tips! amazing video as always!
Perfect timing, we’re headed to Paris in a few weeks and we already booked a day trip to Reims. Veuve is already on our list but I’ll look into the others. Thanks!
I didn't have a car or a guide when i went to reims. Went to the cathedrale and then an Uber ride to Veuve Clicquot. While it's a big corporate brand, their caves and history were pretty amazing (Madame Ponsardin-Clicquot was a trailblazer!). Cheers to another great video!
Love your videos. However, you should inform the tour guide that he is misinformed, or worse, about Marc Chagall having converted to Catholicism in order to design the windows in the Cathedral. Chagall designed windows in many churches but died Jewish.
Yes! When I heard the guide say that, I paused the sound, hit the back button, and listened again, thinking I must have misheard! They definitely should contact him and tell him to not say that.
Bonjour, thank you for your comment. My apologies, I did get this wrong, thanks for pointing it out, it has made go back to my books and read about Chagall all weekend and loved it !
@@LesFrenchiesTravel Your videos helped my wife and me so much when we were preparing for our trip to Paris! Thank you for your very helpful and entertaining videos!

What is your opinion of going to Champagne versus Loire ? I love Loire but I’ve been there. Husband hasn’t been to either but we only have 2 weeks for Paris and some day trips. Thanks.
What a wonderful video, but please mention all the Cremand alternatives! Anyway, I am more a Demi-sec fan, so nothing to admire here. If you can afford it, you should have champagne for breakfast.

Great video! Did not know about Reims Notre Dame before and now want to go see it and drink champagne.
you totally should
The light show on the cathedral at night is one of the most beautiful and moving displays I ever ever seen. Well worth an overnight.

I really hope you enjoyed your visit to Voirin-Jumel. They are one of my favorite growers champagne houses. Such lovely wines.
So good!
Bubbles! My favorite! The day looked delicious!
Bubbles are my favorite ♡
This video just comes in handy now that I’m weeks away from being in that region!!! You guys do amazing content, congratulations!
Thank you! We have a little bit of fun making it. Bon voyage ♡
Oh the Cathedral is beautiful. And it served the same function as Westminster Abbey does in Britain…didn’t know that bit of history.
It's so beautiful!
I've been collecting some 2008 Champagnes over the years, still have few on my wants list!
I am envious of your visit. I did not get the tastings when I went 15 years ago. Looks like great fun.
There's a word for that... it's pompette (which means tipsy)
Looks amazing
I went to Reims last month and its amazing❤🇨🇵
Truly!

The do it yourself method is certainly an option! And, yes, widow Clicquot was definitely a force to be reckoned with. Great history!
..."I was praying for champagne"...😅👌👏💃🏻...Pompette worth it!🍾🥂
🤣😂😇
Can I recommend visiting the surrender museum in Reims, seems to be little known but fascinating and an important part of history.
Great suggestion!

avez vous visiter le puy du fou ? reconnu comme meilleur parc du monde, j'espère que vous y ferrez une vidéo
Good day, Which place is better from a tourist perspective if one has to pick out of the two, Bordeaux region or Champagne region?
Lansom house is a great place to visit,,, as a side note the Germans signed the formal surrender there to General Smith of the AEF,,,
1:15 The newly crowned king being the Lord's anointed had to touch the sick lining outside the cathedral saying: "le roi te touche, Dieu te guérit" (the king touches you, God cures you).
Great video! Never been a fan of sabering a bottle, though…bubbles wasted and who wants shards of glass flying around?
Understood. But it was definitely fun to do!
Who do you reco for guides?
We have a list on our website.

Hi, where are the flea markets in Paris . The antiques . Thank you.
What is your opinion of going to Champagne versus Loire ? I love Loire but I’ve been there. Husband hasn’t been to either but we only have 2 weeks for Paris and some day trips. Thanks.
I need a champagne tasting that's wheelchair accessible! Any recommendations?
Did you pick a scarf winner?
yes 😁
Champagne is delicious with fried chicken BTW.
Good to know!
🤤
No Andre Cold Duck???😊
Who is the guide guy and how do we hire him?
Hrmm…I didn’t see any orange juice in those champagne glasses 🤔
I guess I’m going it wrong.
oh yes, it's a bit sacrilegious here to add OJ to Champagne 😅😉
What a wonderful video, but please mention all the Cremand alternatives! Anyway, I am more a Demi-sec fan, so nothing to admire here. If you can afford it, you should have champagne for breakfast.
Noted!🍾🥂 cheers 😉
i love your blog. concerning this chapter - mark chagall did not convert to christianity
yes I think he may have made an error here. We haven't found records that proved the claim.
Bonjour, thank you for your comment. My apologies, I did get this wrong, thanks for pointing it out, it has made go back to my books and read about Chagall all weekend and loved it !
Great information! Off Topic, who won the red scarf? Thanks! 🧣🧣🧣
Colleen picked 3, she's working on the announcement 😁

Weird personal fact: I’ve never drank actual champagne. 🫣🤫
