41:42 hot take, I think people should be allowed to dislike any character. Especially in undertale games, where characters are written very mindfully. There's a lot to like about them, but one detail I love about Undertale is that a lot of people do genuinely have a core problem with at least one of the main cast. Whether it's Toriel, Sans, Undyne, Mettaton, Alphys, or Asgore. They all have inherent biases and make judgements through those lens. Of course some people will see at least one of those and go "wait that's a really not cool way of going about things". To me it just shows that the writer did a good job of engaging the player in the moral conversation and gave their characters enough depth to have a variety of interpretations on their actions. TL; DR Characters should get you thinking about their actions, not absolving them entirely. Characters can and should be questioned. It shows that your audience takes you seriously.
My only issue is when people are overly forgiving and loving towards certain characters but treat others who have done similar things as evil. Basically hating on Chara, Alphys, or Asgore for certain actions, but loving Toriel.

(I also finally understand why the Safety Jacket appears later in the mines, when it has less DEF than the Steel Buckle. I guess it exists for players who used this solution.)
It's not too difficult to get the pickaxe from doing a quiz (which I think is in the same room as the flint), so I didn't really think that you only had 1 shot.
you can tell that the Yellow team really loved UT, there's so much passion put in to make it as close to a prequel to the source material that I feel goes under loved, there so much little details that I spent longer time just looking at everything than the fights. (Also Dalv is such a cutie for a little hermit-pire. Bird lady's looney toon attack is affectionately referred to in the speedrunner comunity(UT) as "Random bullshit go!" as that attack name.
1:37:52 I was playing The Binding of Isaac Repentance while watching this vod and I was fighting Hush and the explosion noised lined up perfectly, and I mean PERFECTLY, with Hush exploding and causing a white flash on the screen.
I hope he continues this (or played it offscreen). I hate that I have to say this but I actually does get really good in the later halves. The music. Straight bangers, makin it outta the underground with these ones

1:57:11 hmmm weird when I first entered that screen, a big miner guy came walking my direction and asked to let him pass - I was gonna follow him to the previous screen instead of talking to him more, but instead he just vanished when he walked off screen, and I didn't see him again after that curious what he would've said, but I guess this game has its own "fun value" of sorts explains why I didn't get the spam mail too

Ok so I'm not super far into the video (and therefore the game as a whole) but I really get the vibe that these OCs are spawn of tumblr while undertale characters are much stronger designs that happen to please tumblr. Its hard to describe and its not even necessarily a bad thing but it's just something I've noticed.

Yeah that’s the bad part about undertale making neutral the ‘worthless route’, most people will default to the pacifist route in this game to get the most out of their playthrough even though neutral is the best one to do first (you actually get to PICK who lives or dies too)
MAJOR SPOILERS !!!!! I’m glad he played through MMLB, because even tho it doesn’t give any reward, it does give practice for the final boss!! (I think the final boss? I remember a boss needed that mechanic, at least) So that’s helpful :]
