He actually went to my local Comic Con and my dad and I got to talk with him and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. We were surprised that there was nobody in line, they were just sitting there chatting amongst themselves. So we walk over and start talking and the both of them are so awesome.

I went to a local wrestling match with a friend of mine and his Grandma and she was the best damn part! She went to every single show and she would throw water, fling water bottles, cuss them out, try to chase them around the ring...I have never laughed harder than when I was watching that blue-haired old country woman chasing a sweaty three hundred+ man in a purple polyester suit while she took off her belt and telling him she was to going to tan his hide since his Mama apparently didn't do it enough! She never took it too far, and she had been going for so long that she was practically part of the show. When she got sick the wrestlers would come to visit her, and they all packed her funeral when she passed on. They had to draw names to figure out who would carry her casket because they all wanted to do it. That was an awesome woman.
Sounds almost like my granny, at a backyard lucha libre event she actually burnt this big ass foo with a cigarette and said "Andale pendejo that's whatchu get"
That's sweet in a way. I always love all people & hearing she passed reminds me of my dad who passed away beside me on the ninth days ago. He had cancer, was given 2 weeks, & sent home to rest. Jake probably doesn't think about this, but the guy's honesty has done a world of good for many, many people out there. He's helping people and probably doesn't know it. Wish more people had the guts to be this honest.
That's some crazy shit. Lol And I've heard so many stories of people's grandmas that passionately watched and believed wrestling back then. Mean old hussies. 😆
As much as Joe likes to shit on the business he has always made it clear that he admires the guys doing it for how tough they are with what they put their bodies through. His favourite one is to point out that Brock Lesnar has said it was easier being the UFC champion than a full-time WWF wrestler.

Kyle Kelly Very true. This kid I know that was 19 just found out wrestling was fake and I still think he’s joking but he really WASN’T.
