- This video shows you what to expect if you opt for a Rivian home delivery instead of going to their nearest service/delivery location. We show pretty much the whole process from the time the truck rolls up until all of the instructions have been provided by the delivery representative.

Congrats. I really like the Rivian brand. Wishing them the best. Hopefully they can build a entry level vehicle
Congratts!
Looking forward to more R1S content.
Overnight camping trip coming up on Tuesday.
Rivian=Quality
Congratulations!
Thanks!
Congrats! How's the build quality? Also, is this a 2024 VIN?
Build quality is pretty good. Only flaw I've noticed is the left rear door does not latch unless you give it a little more push to close than the other three doors. I do not know what part of the VIN shows the model year.
@@EHermesis it a PN or RN in the VIN ?
Traded in the F-150 Lightning?
Nope. Best of both worlds. I originally ordered the R1T but when the Lightning came out, I grabbed it and change my order to the R1S.
@@EHermes Very cool, I am 30,000+ miles into my Lightning and love it. (1st EV, 7th F150). I look forward to hearing your comparison of the two EVs. Keep up the good content!
Can we Collaborate on RIvian accessories about your TH-cam?
Sure, what do you have in mind?
Congrats. Hope you won’t need service because that might cause you to regret you getting that car.
I hope I don't need service on any of my vehicles.
@@EHermes that’s true 😜
After watching Out of Spec's test on the max pack... I wouldn't buy one. only 12kWh more than the large pack. I just bought my R1S Large Pack, Quad Motor yesterday.
I agree it is a stretch, but sometimes that little bit more can make the difference between a nervous day and a really bad day. Still, $10,000 for not much does give one pause.
@@EHermes true! I made the 236 mile drive home last night and pulled in at my house with 5%. It was a bit of a nail biter lol.
How long was the process from order to delivery. Is it a 2023 or 2024 model?
We finalized our order in November; they wanted us to take delivery in late December, so about six weeks. But it depends on your configuration.@@UP-To-The-Time
@EHermes Thank you. Very good information.
Seems like most Rivian buyers have regrets … Between difficulties ordering the vehicle and then all the defects… then problems trying to have the vehicle fixed under warranty… And the $90,000+ price tag… And what’s gonna happen in about 24 months when rivian declares bankruptcy… no more over the air updates… feel sorry for Rivian buyers
While any new product development is going to have some problems, I do not believe it is fair to say that most Rivian buyers regret their decision. I'm sure a vocal few are, but I doubt it is most. They are expensive, no doubt about that but they are in line with other high end luxury vehicles. I really doubt that they are going to go bankrupt and disappear. Worst case if they get into financial trouble, they may get bought out by say Apple or Tesla. They have way too much value and assets to just disappear.
Amazon will scoop them up
Perhaps. They are a publicly traded company.@@UP-To-The-Time
I'm coming up on two years of ownership. Not sure what you are reading or talking to. But I can say I personally haven't had service woes or malfunctions to the degree you mention. For the money, easily the best vehicle I have ever owned and ownership has been tremendous. We love ours.
I own 2 teslas and 1 Rivian, I don't have any issues with either. Rivian is a great car and the service center in Miami has been very reliable when I need something. Too many youtubers are reporting on products they don't even own.
