    Actually at 15A and 110V you should get 1.65kW (AxV=W). But if you have a 16A EV Charger, with a NEMA 5-15 plug, you will not get 1.65 kW, you will only get 1.3 kW. Why? Because a NEMA 5-15 plug is only able to draw 15A and your EV charger will automatically go to its next lower level, which is usually 12A or lower (12Ax110V= 1.3kW). Therefore if you are using a NEMA 15 plug don't buy a 16A charger, get a 15A charger and get 1.65 kW not 1.3... or less.

    • @VegasGuy1975
      @VegasGuy1975 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nardoyxzmany considerations determine mileage per kilowatt and this is especially true when towing. First, the coefficient of drag when towing an airstream is MUCH different than the coefficient of drag on a more traditional travel trailer profile of the same general weight. Second, the terrain plays a massive role in mileage. 150 miles on the east coast is much easier to achieve pulling an airstream than the same mileage in the Pacific North West. Think hills vs mountain ranges. And the third major difference is traveling temperatures. Towing on the east coast would be much easier on the battery and give much more range than towing in the southwest deserts. Extreme heat and extreme cold really impact battery range. Of course I’m also assuming he has the extended range battery, and so do you. That’s a big assumption and if both vehicles have different battery packs, it’s a night and day difference of course. Just these elements described above could easily explain why you are getting 101 miles range, and he’s getting 150 miles of range. There are many other smaller and less impactful reasons as well of course.

    Another reason the Truck may have cut off when you hit 0% - is the voltage drop. When voltage drops, current goes up, and thus heat. It may have been a heat issue with the motor due to high amp draw.
