Thank you for showing all the other artist's work. It is so helpful to be reminded that art is art. There is no wrong way to do it. They were all very unique and I really enjoyed seeing them all!
Our neighbour’ s visiting peacock pair would enter my house if I opened my frenchdoors. I watch them preen everyday and wonder where to even start painting these magnificent creatures . You have inspired me and now I’m ready to attempt them. Great tutorial .THANKS!
I can paint in watercolour and acrylics and people like my work, but I Just LOVE to sit and watch a good artist at work. People like watching fish swimming in a tank (hospitals say that is soothing) well for me watching artists paint is a great Relaxant. So soothing. MAGIC ✍️🖍🎨✏️ Thank you for maintaining your Free tutorials.
The art with the park bench and dogs reminds me of a funny peacock story. Our local zoo had a large flock that ran loose. Several years ago I took a friend to the zoo, who was wheelchair bound and had two service dogs (one was trained with a multitude of skills, but too old for the heavy work, and a younger dog in training able to pull and support). The peacocks were fascinated with the dogs.. they wouldn't leave us alone. We wound up touring the zoo with me, my friend, her two dogs, five kids between us... an entire flock of twenty or so peacocks.. and a crowd of human onlookers. It was the weirdest zoo train ever lol.
it is so cool the way you coordinate painting/shirt/beverage! you are so prolific! a whole marvelous instructive and fun video each week. keep your strength up! xox
Paul - I can't thank you enough for all of these amazing tutorials to help those of us in our painting journey. You make it a lot of fun. And easy. I am not the greatest sketcher although I am continuing to learn and taking classes as well. BUT it is great when I just want to get painting to use your drawings and get on with it. But there is ALWAYS a little 'niggling' going on in my mind that says this is cheating. But I am working to 'quiet that voice'. Without your help often I would not begin to try and paint so please accept my gratitude. Keep on!
Today I figured out why I am disappointed in my painting. I expect it to look like yours, and it's not going to! The ones you shared at the end don't look like yours, and yet they are lovely. And I am having fun! My aha moment!! Thanks!
Beautiful tutorial from last year. Thank you, I hope I can practice this month . I really smiled with the peacock sound at night, with the microphone too, very clever. Greetings to your supportive wife, have a safe rest of the year.
That's lovely. Capturing the very essence of the subject, the moment you started painting the background, you could hear the Peacock singing. And the eye, is SOOOOOO alive. Thank you for wonderful tutorial.
Gorgeous work! I got this printed out yesterday and will paint it today. I so appreciate you talents and skills and I appreciate you sharing them with us here on TH-cam!
Super tutoriel Paul! Ma journée préfèré de la semaine toujours hâte de me lever le mercredi matin et voir ce que vous avez peint merci vous m'apporter beaucoup de joie dans ma vie Merci beaucoup encore
Oh I can’t wait to give him a go. I struggle with a loose style but hey I loved my cows. Thanks Paul, he’s beautiful. So we’re all the great paintings from Margots challenge. Well done everyone
Congrats on the article, the flashy t-shirt, another awesome tutorial and the glass of cider that lasted all the way to the end of the video! You are a great teacher and the value of your lessons shines through in the creativeness of the artists whose pictures you've posted. All 'round fun stuff!
Stuuuuun-niiiiiiing!!! 😍 You are my favorite watercolor artist of ALL time, Paul. Your videos calms me so much, and I watch them again and again! Thank you for being you and sharing your amazing work and skill 😊
I enjoyed the loose blurry effects in the background and the realism that you achieved in the foreground. I loved the delicate curly brushstrokes. Thank you for including the scenes of the group outing, and the paintings by the Facebook group. Loved the whole thing! Thank you !
Thank you for another superb tutorial. The loose version of painting the peacock is very inspiring. We have plenty of peacocks in the open spaces around. See them perched on trees and rooftops, flying, displaying their amazing plumage and of course, calling out to each other so compellingly that one feels like answering back.
Thank you for sharing your talents, knowledge and humor! I learned to paint in watercolor from youtube videos over the last few years. I recently found your channel and I feel I have made leaps and bounds from watching and painting along with you. It is also appreciated that you share your drawing templates as this has helped me be more confident in trying new pictures. Great job and keep the camera rolling!
Congrats on your piece in the magazine, much deserved recognition! Absolutely beautiful peacock painting. I painted one months ago but wasn’t nearly as lovely as yours. I so enjoy looking at the other artists versions and how people interpret for their own art piece. I love loose animal paintings, many thanks 🙏😁👌
Oh, the hand of a Master....!!! Absolutely beautiful ....love the magical peacock. Thank you Paul, although I don't do 'loose' well, I am giving it a try - your example is pretty clear. Keep well and healthy
Beautifull as allways, you are a true artist and a great teacher and i love your sense of humor and teashirts. Sorry for my poor english, i wish you and all your loved ones a marvelous autumn.
Paul, I started painting in watercolor October 2020, and have learned a lot from your tutorials. I am Canadian but live in Cuenca Ecuador. Keep up the great teaching.
They really are lovely birds. We have them in Florida too and they are noisy with their screeches. But what’s not to love when you look at them. Such magnificent natural colors. Thank you for sharing Paul. Blessings to you both!
Wow really amazing. You make it so fun. A difficult subject but now I’m excited to try it. Congrats on your magazine article. Thank you as always for the great videos.
Paul, this is absolutely stunning! So happy you had a three-day retreat to paint and relax. It's really nice you included video stream from it so we could see the tranquil beauty of it. I also appreciate your detailed instructions on painting this beauty. Putting the reference photo up periodically to give us a better view was a great idea. It really helps. Thank you for another outstanding tutorial.
Glad you all had a wonderful time in those lovely places. Thank you for this fabulous painting of a peacock. I like the sound of the peacock too. This is the first time I heard the sound a peacock. I know different bird sounds like the rooster or the goose and many others. But this is the first time I heard a peacock's cry. And I must say that remembering from your previous video you spoke about the brands of watercolor. I need to get a good brand. Maybe these brands I am using is not so good. I will have to search in the stores for a good brand that shows up brightly on paper. Thank you again for this awesome video.
This one was so much fun. Thank you for sharing your talents. I have learned so much from your tutorials. I think I have done about 8 of them so far. 😁
Oh so many chances to make mud puddles! But the background is wonderful ~ and in the end, an intriguing composition! The impressionistic tail “eyes” versus the real eye: nice! I’d rate this 10 squawks🦚 👍Thanks for showing us how to do it🙋🏼♀️
Hey, beautiful painting! I just started following you on Instagram and I saw an amazing painting of a rooster. I am living in Virginia, but I was born in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico and we love our roosters. Both are awesome renditions: a peacock and a rooster! You have inspired me to start painting again, and I can’t wait to do it! Have been gathering materials, but feel that I’m ready now. Thanks!
Fantastic tutorial Paul. You have such a wonderful style of tutoring in watercolor. I’m going to give this a go, as with other comments, I’m working on loosening my painting style. Thank you so much for your TH-cam tutorials.
Thanks for all your tutorials. Love your tee-shirts too. I’m really looking forward to trying this. I think my daughter will too. She’s 6 and loves animals. She’s very excited to find all the animal tutorials that you have.
Can't wait to try this one Paul. I love these colours. Reminds me a little of the Aurora Borealis exercise - layering on iridescent colours. Thanks for another great tutorial.
Thank you for showing all the other artist's work. It is so helpful to be reminded that art is art. There is no wrong way to do it. They were all very unique and I really enjoyed seeing them all!
