@@gamemaster2192 They only play like Legend if you use modern controls, other than that and visual changes they are the original games. Use tank controls and you are playing the exact same game as the originals. They are not easier or harder than the original, they are the same.
To say it's similar to the GTA Definitive Trilogy is disrespectful to the developers who made this remaster because it's not the same at all. And to say that the textures were put through some kind of AI thing is also so wrong in so many ways. They were clearly completely re-drawn and remade from scratch to resemble the original pixel textures.
Love how you snuck in Thunderfoce IV. Played it to death back then. :-) The Tomb Raider Remake looks interesting and might be worth a spin. Agree that a hybrid of the RTX version with the enhancements of the Remake would probably be the perfect version.
They just leaked remakes of Soul Reaver 1 & 2 at Comic-Con. I'm not one for buying into "leaks," but there was an official placard with a Raziel and Kain statue that had a "Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered" logo in clear view at Dark Horse's booth. Once it started blowing up online, they removed the placard and replaced it with one without that text.
Great remaster. Sure there are some graphical glitches that can be patched and some wonky Achievements that can be fixed, but it's still a great rendition. Especially since it includes all the DLC's, that are hard to find and get (especially legally). Especially The Lost Artifact, had the change to play it for the first time ever.
Interesting and well made comparison. Although it is maybe worth adding that shortly after the original game's release the 3DFX Voodoo came out and support for it was added, making the game look a lot better.
The review focus on things that the majority of the players has no idea about it nor they care or effect the gameplay. Anyway, Aspyr has been remastered the Tomb Raider more than wonderful. And we all agree that the IGN always goes against the flow..
the level is called "the lost valley" and is a reference to "the lost world" a novel where a small place of the world was never hit by meteors. so a large population of dinosaurs (and other prehistoric creatures) survived.
Real Tomb Raider is back. This collection a dream come true. Could it be better? Sure. But it is great and finally here.

The people who made the TR remasters should have been given the GTA "Definitive" trilogy, they would have done a way better job

It isn’t a skill issue; it’s a decision issue. The team that did GTA could have done better; someone just decided they didn’t care.
Most importantly the people behind TR were fans. You can tell their main goal was to make this love letter for the fans.
You know when IGN saying its superb... its INDEED, superb! Classic Lara will always be an icon.

What is stopping modders for just making an RTX Remix mod for the Remastered Version of the Tomb Raider trilogy.

Im really enjoying it, needs a few patches to fix the darkness in alot of areas and speed up things like ladder climbing and block pushing.

Believe it or not, the enemies gets more messed up later in the game. Horror stuff.
Honestly, Tomb Raider doesn't truly have much of any specific genre focus. It's everything it wants to be when it feels like it.
