    The blocking of similar pathways, in people or plants! A wonderful example of how important this is! Particularly for Parkinson’s,and many similar diseases.

    The introduction of chemicals that damaged this pathway in plants has been the foundation of most modern chronic diseases taking hold because the lack of the related essential amino acids has compromised our immune system.

    The shikimate pathway (shikimic acid pathway) is a seven step metabolic route used by bacteria, archaea, fungi, algae, some protozoan, and plants for the biosynthesis of folates and aromatic amino acids (phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan). This pathway is not found in animals, which require these amino acids, hence the products of this pathway represent essential amino acids that must be obtained from organisms that are not animals (or animals which eat those organisms) in the animal's diet. glyphosate inhibited the incorporation of [14C]shikimate into all three aromatic amino acids, and radioactive shikimate accumulated in the tissue. The results lead to the conclusion that glyphosate interferes with the shikimate pathway at or prior to the formation of chorismate.

      the bacteria in our gut, are required for healthy humans, so I question, how can you state that since the Shikimate pathway is not found in humans, it therefore is safe for humans, that's a huge fallacy! Humans only exist because the bacteria in and on us. blessings for great health, don't use glyphosate or buy GMO foods

    Wow, this pathway is not only found in plants! I don't know how that one slipped by the presentation. Microbes in our gut and in the soil and in the ocean also have this pathway.

      Definitely important as far as people and Parkinson’s, -L-tyrosine pathway… I believe in people it has a different name. But the chemicals are the same

    excellent video, and i thank you, but i want to correct something -- shikimic acid pathway is not *only* in plants but also in fungi, bacteria, and other microbes -- not in animal somatic cells, but definitely in the gut microbiomes of animals.

      Sage Radachowsky And this is why Roundup (glyphosate) can be dangerous to animals, including humans.

      Is this because we use the amino acids created by the bacteria and fungi in our guts?

  • @FiberFairy22
    @FiberFairy22 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is the mechanism that has made so much of our produce replete of the very amino acids we need.

    The Shikimate Pathway is important to our gut biome as well. We coexist with many more organisms than not. To ignore this is foolish.

      +Sharon Reeve What are the real world manifestations? How can it be foolish if there are no real world manifestations? Words like foolish just allow for further fear mongering without any actual negative effects.

    What level is needed to kill a plant? would one drop placed on a leaf kill the entire plant? Would accidentally spraying a small section of emerald arborvitae kill the tree?

    Michael Evans, thank you. I would like to know approx how many shikimic acid pathways per cell exist in various organisms. I suppose this means how many EPSP synthase enzyme molecules per cell on average, and also the reaction rate?

      Science has proven that when you damage the gut Flora you damage the brain this is why my family and I stay away from Big Pharma antibiotics and only do NATURAL ones that you can buy very cheaply at almost any Indian or Indian Pakistani Grocers : neem powder oh my God it will stop a flu.. it will stop an upper respiratory infection in its tracks... horribly bitter tasting but well worth it ,you can even put a pinch of the powder in your nasal rinse water to help keep your sinuses healthy and to get rid of infections up in there.. then there is black seed oil also called Kalonji oil ( but make sure you do not buy it in the shampoo aisle you need to make sure it is food grade medicinal quality..).. In the past week that I've been drinking a tea from the Indian grocers called KASHMIRI tea I have felt really great (it is simply green tea but does not taste like green tea AT ALL and it has lots of the star anise WHICH HAS SHIKIMIC ACID in it ,and my favorite spice ,the green CARDAMOM ...it is so delicious and delightful with some milk and sugar, the only hot beverage I've been drinking all week and right away I felt good and couldn't figure out why.. the brand I bought is by King .
      You can also buy amla powder which is also called Indian Gooseberry , it has 30 times more vitamin C than Citrus, do you research on donor cells which is the reason why vitamin C is such a powerful healer and people are being healed of various deadly cancers end-stage cancer , I might add as well as epilepsy with massive doses of vitamin C... what I'm talkin 40 to 50000 international units so for that you usually need to go to a doctor and have it administered intravenously and it is well worth it .. according to people who have used it that way .
      I urge anybody to learn ayurvedic medicine which is the ancient medicine from India they have used for thousands of years ..please also look into Moringa powder which they sell there cheaply as well as ASHWAGANDHA powder... ashwagandha is so important because it is not just an ADAPTOGEN it is also a NOOTROPIC and believed to be the only thing out there that actually is NEUROGENIC meaning that actually grows NEW BRAIN CELLS and has helped me immensely with my MEMORY LOSS ISSUES and it also helps turn the Mind AWAY FROM NEGATIVE thinking ...all of these things are very inexpensive at your Indian Grocers... please look at the shatavari powder and how it keeps you sexually young and all your juices flowing again and is for both men and women . VACHA powder. Also called Vaj ... you need this too and you can find info on all of these here on the internet and TH-cam
