Well, than maybe it helps you to know that all those had their trunk fusioned... =D ... You get multiple young ficus, fix them all together and let them grow, the trunks will stick to each other as it thicken, becoming this awesome looking trunks...
Really beautiful 😍 these are the bonsais that you won’t see more in cooler climate. How come most of them don’t have aerial roots? It’s speciality of ficus. Why they remove them?
@@Polotoed By growing more than one fikus (or binding them together with raffia, for example) they will "fuse" and the result will resemble old trees with a profusion of aerial roots like the ones in this video. In fact, look at the trees in this video and you will see that many of them have multiple trunks "fused" together either by nature or by binding them tightly.
@@1marcelo You can find Ficus benjamina 'Natasha' in almost any garden shop but I think the majority of the bonsai in the video (maybe all of them) are ficus retusa, not the small leaf variety. The bonsai in this video are large so the leaves look small.
@@BackSeatHump Cool, I didn't know that, thanks! I always thought that the bottom part of the trunk was just large roots that have been dug out. In that case another question: is it possible to get tht sort of branching out trunkline into the soil also with only 1 ficus? Or does it have to be multiple fused together?
As much as I love bonsai trees My wish of life is to be able to make a very very large tree which can be used for living. Small houses on the branches just like the elf fantasies.
Some world class trees in there... well done
Absolutely spectacular!
Amazing! I hope my ficus can look just a little like these one day!

Its a matter of aesthetic preferences mostly, having aerial roots on all Ficus would be a bit repetitive.
Really nice
