We all love our Ricoh GR III. You simply put it in your pocket and shoot. The more you shoot the better you know your camera and how to improve your skills. That's it.
Amazing images and thanks for sharing your genuine perspective! As someone who had a grii, sold it, and now finds himself missing the simplicity, videos like yours make me comfortable considering trying again with a iii.

Thanks Yarko! If you like simplicity you can’t go wrong with a GR is my opinion.
Love the photos you shot with your Ricoh GRIII. I love how easy it is to use the GRIII - makes taking photographs very simple, and the results are great.

Thanks Steve, the simplicity is a key factor for me for sure and the image quality is great from this camera.
I love your black and white images in the video! I'm currently wrestling with whether or not to try the GRIII or X first... I typically shy away from wide angle but your pics have me second guessing that.

Thanks! I know what you mean, it's always hard when you need to decide between two things. I would say that it depends on what your are going to shoot. Mostly portrait, then maybe the X version is a better fit, landscapes maybe the original III is a better choice. In the end its just comes down to personal taste.
THank You Håkan, for video and for your thoughts...! I have not learnt, to snap pictures with my phone... Stll happier with a camera...! Good to know, you are listening to your own nature and are happy and content with snapshots... Snap's of your now...! Beside the snap, I like many types of photo work... Even sketching, AI and analog darkroom workflow. New Years Greetings from here to You Håkan...! I celebrate Winter Solstice on the 21st...The return of Light...!

Happy new year to you to! I agree, I have tried using my phone as a camera also, but a real camera is better in my opinion. When the light is starting to return, that is a great day! :)
Thanks! I really appreciate your thoughts. I am thinking of getting one (again) as I miss the simplicity and hate using a phone to capture images!

That is the exact same reason why I got one. I was so frustrated with using my phone when I didn't used my bigger cameras. One shouldn't underestimate the value of simplicity :)
@ Definitely. My pixel phone is very good but it's still just a phone. I looked at the Sony phone with the 1" sensor but I felt a camera like this still would be best
Dude you are so good your images came out really really good. I bought a gr ii about a month ago and can't seem to figure it out almost felt like I made a mistake by purchasing it. It's my first digital camera i've been shooting strictly film for about 2 years so it's going to take some getting used to. But this video definitely encouraged me to keep going. any tip that I should know about the gr iii from your experience?

Thanks BIRDBRAIN! Of course you should keep going. Just keep shooting and try different things and you will figure it out. I can say that mine is a standard it can be. Don't think I have changed many or any settings in fact. As tips maybe go through the film simulations, exposure modes and focus mode with snap focus being one and see if that is something for you. Other than that I only have to say use it and abuse it. But don't abuse it to much ;)
Thanks, yeah I really like that one. Had to get up early because it was really busy with people during the day. But well worth getting up a bit earlier 😊
Congrats. 👏🏼 I currently have a Nikon Z5, but after 2 years, it really feels too bulky and big, and I want to change for a GR3. Do you think it’s a good idea? I’m afraid the GR3 is not sharp enough compared to the Z5… Thanks in advance. ;)

I haven’t tried Nikon Z5 so hard for me to say if GR3 is as sharp or sharper than that camera. I would say that GR3 is sharp enough for most needs. It’s not in sharpness the camera is lacking if I put it that way.
Do you have a wish list of things you'd like to see in a potential GRIV?

Really good question. Haven’t really thought about it. Maybe I should do a video about it. But it would be nice if a new version was water & dust proof.
Hi Håkan, I just wanted to say that your photographs really demonstrate what a great camera the Ricoh GRIII is. It’s much more than “just” a street photography camera. Good luck with the channel in 2023 and Happy New Year.

Thanks J C! And you are absolutly right, it is a great camera for anything really. Think there is a big misconception that you can only shoot street photography with it. Hopefully I can inspire a little to use it for more than just that :) Happy new year to you to.

I have the same experiences with the GR3. I bought half year ago and it made me a better photographer. Like your images. Hope to see more!
That’s great to hear Jan! And thanks for the nice words, hope to be able to show more images in future videos.
