His samples were flickering like a fluorescent bulb. And the noise was extreme. If they go go 4k and partner with a knowledgable video manufacturer like Black Magic or RED it would be a great story. Keep dreamin'.
That will never happened. They should just keep it as a photography camera in my opinion.
Nice photos Hakan 👍🏻
This whole video could have been 30 seconds long, you explain nothing and just say its shit. Not worth of a video if you don’t go in depth on why it is shit: no manual controls, forced P mode, having to set iso settings in photo mode before switching to video mode to get correct frame rates, no focus peaking etc etc. This is low effort mate
the aps c sensor on the ricoh is huge compared to a phone,. In my opinion theoretically anyway, the ricoh should capture more lifelike colors and light in videos compared to any phone
Agree in that theory if you look at the sensor size. But modern phones has alot of processing power och does much computing to make up for sensor size. But I still believe that Ricoh should have been able to pull of something better in terms of video than what Ricoh GR III currently has.
Good video thank you
We’ve not seen a photos of the month video for a while Håkan? 👍🏻
I have replaced it with a new series ’Favorite photos as of late’ as I hadn’t photos every month to share. Now I will do a video when I have some good photos instead. So it could be more videos in a month, but also a bit less 😊
Nice one! 👍🏻
I need an extra set of arms. Two arms are not enough to embrace all of my pictures. My photos are full of imperfections! I still try to get them " right "just for the fun of it.
As long as you have fun doing it, that is the most important 😃
That picture at 3:23.. just wow. 🤯
Thanks, yeah I really like that one. Had to get up early because it was really busy with people during the day. But well worth getting up a bit earlier 😊
Congrats. 👏🏼 I currently have a Nikon Z5, but after 2 years, it really feels too bulky and big, and I want to change for a GR3. Do you think it’s a good idea? I’m afraid the GR3 is not sharp enough compared to the Z5… Thanks in advance. ;)
I haven’t tried Nikon Z5 so hard for me to say if GR3 is as sharp or sharper than that camera. I would say that GR3 is sharp enough for most needs. It’s not in sharpness the camera is lacking if I put it that way.
I agree. As a point of interest, it's the amateur 'snapshots' of decades ago that tell us what the world was like back then, not the calendar worthy images of sunsets, landscapes etc that we are told we should be striving for. Cheers
Yes exactly, nothing wrong with perfect photos either, they take alot of effort to get right. But not all images need to be that way and shouldn’t be something we need to strive for.
I really enjoyed the pictures and talk
Good tips Hakan! Keep them coming!👍🏻
Greetings Håkan... Thank You for this...! Excellent series of images in the start...You are getting more and more secure in your-self, just like you say in this video.
Thanks alot! It is all about developing and be a little bit better than the day before.
Very true Håkan! 👍🏻
I took my Ricoh travelling with me and took a lot of videos, was so disappointed:( but the photography was great
Video is lacking if you aren’t going for that type of look. But as a photography camera it is great!
Welcome back Hakan! 👍🏻
Thanks! Feels good 😊
I’m ready for your next video now! 😂
ricoh are fragile camera, its way too expensive for what it can use, i bought it and sell it today
It’s not a camera for everybody 😊
Thanks a lot for that good explanation 🤩
You are welcome! Happy the video was of help.
thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you! This was really helpful as I just got my new GR! Cheers
Glad the video could be of use!
Don's have a VPN on or it won't work, in fact it works once every 10 tries. This is a very bad software.
Straight and simple explanation, thx a lot for that. Just what I was looking for. Well done.
Great! Thanks for watching 😊
Excellent video Håkan...!
Quit interesting to see how much light can play a role in photography 😃
What an enlightening video Hakan! 😂
Hopefully! Maybe someone can learn something 😁
Hi Hakan, do you have any new videos and photos to show us?
@@Mark-PIt will come, enjoying some well deserved vaction right now ☀️ 😁
I’ve just got back from mine ☀️☀️☀️☀️. Enjoy it!☀️☀️☀️☀️👍🏻
Hi, can you please advise where can I locate the password for connecting the camera thru WiFi ?
Hi! Look at my answer at similar questions to yours and you will find out how to locate the password.
The idea of this video is good but your subjects suck... So I'm not sure that the video quality sucks or it's you.
Haha okey, so what would be a good subject matter according to you?
Street video, landscapes, outside while walking for instance, people running. But just go Outside. @
You need to stop saying uhhh uhhh every 2 seconds. I was overwhelmed
So I rewatched the video. And what you experience as ”uhhh uhhh” that just my swedish dialect shinning through. Nothing I can do about that.
Hakan, where are the new photos? 😂
Good question, I'm wondering that to 😂 The winter months aren't my strongest photography months. Was hopeing for some spring at this point but that hasen't happen in my area yet unfortunately.
@ Summer is coming! ☀️
Hey! My iphone asks for the wifi password and i cant seem to find the wifi password on the camera. Any tips? Thanks !!
Under Setup in the menu system, then go to sub menu 6, Wireless Connection choose Wireless LAN Setting and then communication Info. There you will fins the password.
@ life saver!!
it kinda looks good to me
I may have a different view on this topic now. So I want to do a new video, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
well said, hakan. i use an old ricoh grd3, from 2009, i love it. i very much agree that the camera one uses is essentially irrelevant as long as that camera gets you to regularly take photos. i take my ricoh everywhere like my keys or wallet.
I'm using Ricoh since 500x when I in high school, then GR1s...GRD3...GRD4 and GR3. All the GRs I owned still working fine. Since the battery life issue of GR3. The GRD4 and GRD3 are my regular cameras those I usually carry around. Especially the GRD4 because of its battery could last for days. I love GRs' portability and reasonable good picture quality,
Looking to get the GR since so many of my cameras are left at home because of their size.
Know what you mean, a small camera is just more convenient even if the bigger cameras might pack more punch in terms of functions.
The photographer makes great photos, not the camera. With that being said..this is an amazing camera lol.
Couldn’t agree more 👍🏻
Love my Ricoh, 2 months of pure joy.. got tired of lugging around heavy gear, been shooting everything from street, landscape, northern lights to family outings! The gr 3 with nisi filter kit and wide angle lens lets you do anything with this mighty camera
That’s great. It is really a versetile camera. And I agree, lugging around heavy gear is no fun. That why I really enjoy the small size of the Ricoh GR.
I bought my GRIII, after watching your videos Hakan.
Wow! Hope your happy with it, as I am.
@ Love it, because it fits in my pocket! 👍🏻
For the skilled photographer, the camera doesn't matter. What matters is how to use it properly.
That is so true. And also being able to see potential images with your eyes.
Great photos! Agree with you 💯 but more photos of boats and ships please! 🤩
Must be great to live by the sea?
It is, if you like the sea that is 😁
@ I like the sun more than the sea Hakan!😂
Grattis här med 😁 ser fram emot januaris best photos! O glöm inte att vattna monstrean 😉
Den monsteran är bedrövlig 😂
Happy New Year... i know what you are talking about... the comparison with others kills the Inspiration... and you always think about New gear 😅 thats the reason i bought my GR iii x... to carry it more arround and if you see something you can snap it.... as i wasnt carrying my FF camera with me... lets see if it works.. Keep on going 🙌 br from Switzerland
I know what you mean, my bigger camera always ended up on shelf collecting dust. Hope you will be happy and bring along your GR IIIx more :)
@ maybe not more... but in a different way.... 🤗
Happy new year man
@ProdByBorthWest Happy new year!
I’m glad you’re still making videos Hakan! 👍🏻
Thanks @Mark-P! Fun to be back creating some videos again :)
Great to see you back Hakan. Most of my photos have the sun in them! Happy New Year Hakan!
Thanks @Mark-P! The sun is always nice to have in your photos. This time of year in Sweden you barely see the sun 😂 Happy new year 🥳
Went trough my photos of 2023 - hardly identified many favourites - but I guess the amount that I had to sift through was overwhelming. What is your selection process? Where these images already identified shortly after you took them or do you review them much later? (I like your photos btw)
@miroslavbazitov183 Thanks! I know what you mean, it can be alot images that you need to go through. I often rate my favorite images when I import them in to Lightroom. And the time between taking the images and importing to Lightroom can vary in time. But I rate the images either by giving them a star or a color label. Then I usually compare those rated images to each other and remove images until I have those that I like the most. But sometimes I also go back and look through a bunch of images and see if I have missed some good ones. But I think it helps to rate the images pretty soon after they are taken, and then review them again at a later point to really see if they are as good as you thought the first time. Hope that helps a little :)
I was about to ask the same. I really need a video about organizing pictures for no pros. I use capture one and don’t know how to filter by year 😢.
Two things: even if you only find a handful of pictures that you are very happy with, it’s still a good thing. Maybe you should try analog photography because it forces you to be very conscious with the photos you take (exposure and focus must be correct) and you only have a limited amount of pictures you can take.
@@juancarlosmiranda6830I don’t use Capture One so haven’t a good answer for you there. But when it comes to organizing, my simple structure is just Pictures > year > month (01. January and so on) > Date (like 2023-01-20 in swedish). I have changed a couple of times but this is the one I have kept the longest.
@@theowlfromduolingo7982 Would like to add that you can also just limit yourself to a certain number of pictures if you only have a digital camera or phone. Does however require disipline to not take more photographs than what you have decided.
