- Secret levels are a super important part of gameplay and gaming culture. They are valuable parts of the community and give you many fresh experiences.
Whether it be the various secret bosses if Hollow Knight and Elden Ring or the encounters of Undertale and Deltarune, even secret units in a monkey game; they give you an important part of the game made with love by developers.
These secret levels in Ultrakill however are the very best. They are funny, have scary horror elements and are also challenging mixing in visual novels, platformers and even fishing all into one package. By using discoverability, and learning new skills you can master Ultrakill's secret levels and secret bosses which are some of the best in the business.

Ultrakill is great because the secret levels are made by just taking a different genre and “ultrakilling” it
finding the secret levels is great too, like for one of them you have to figure out how to turn it to night so the sand will cool down so you can walk on it, and once you do that you get to explore this big open map and eventually find the secret entrance

Did not expect to see wynncraft mentioned in this video and I’m all for it (the secrets are actually pretty good and you get given an item to decrypt certain lines in quests by doing some of them)

It's funny how every secret level blends in the vibe of the layer :
0-S : It is strange but i think it's actually another place that's been abandonned when humans left hell but because of something wicked's presence, the lights are completely out.
1-S : Limbo itself is peaceful, so it is a peaceful puzzle game in every environnement of limbo, you even access it by tossing a coin in a fountain!
2-S : It's all about lust so a dating game is perfect!
4-S : Crash bandicoot went to the desert once right? Well here it is. Along with that, both outside and inside, including all environnements.
5-S : The wrath layer is all about anger and sea. So having a good time fishing and getting that anger out fits!
7-S : The world is white and you have read a book saying to paint it red. You do just that and suddenly, you clean that mess up!
Secrets in ultrakill are fun first u have a toothpick chasing you in a maze then your normal game of flow free, a visual novel about 2 gopros who start talking about why there is no meaning of life and its pointless because they were late to school, crash bandicoot but ultrakill, and a fishing simulator a little break from all the violence you have been going through hell which we all deserved

I.. dont really think of elden ring alternate routing as secrets? Some are not reauired for certain endings, but some are. Secrets that are full on easter eggs feel more "secret". Idk how to fully english this fuck
