No other problems or error codes. I did have some pending codes in the past that related to high pressure fuel pump but these have not come back, don't think it is related, I'm sure my hpfp will eventually break one day.
Hey there i have a 2010 mini cooper s was drving home today and the car lost power and coolant leaking and then there is oil everywhere on the valve cover gasket and a code p0012 and p0001 and then random muilt cylinder misfire when i open the coil pack there is ton of oil in cylinder 1 -2 -3 and number 4 is dry the car turn on but feel like dying and smoke coming out the front hood
Did it leak again? Any vacuum or oil leaks? I'm looking to replace the valve cover on mine but I'm not so sure if I should go with the genuine MINI or an aftermarket one. Thank you in advance

What’s the red plug in the back of the cover for? I only have the RED piece not the black cap to seal it.
I'm not sure, it may be something that is used in the Peugeot's that use the same engine.

Oil in the coil holes suggests the valve gasket is leaking oil, but don't think this would cause the errors or even the misfire.
I'd replace spark plugs, Coil packs , and clean the cover.

It did not leak again and no other issues. I have sold the car now as I want to get another project.
