Quick and thorough tutorial on replacing your mini cooper valve cover and upgrading to a aluminum one your self. Hopefully this diy do it yourself walk through tutorial helps you replace your valve cover and fix the warping issues with the factory one. the mini cooper in the video is a 2009
Is it still holding up well after a year+?
Super koolllll.
What about that red clip?? Does it just pull off? I pulled mines off and hear a vacuum leak like it's sucking air.
i bought an aluminum valve cover from Miliparts only to cause major oil spills ... I didnt think Id be trying it again but your video has changed my mind
Looking to purchase a valve cover you can service. How is the new cover holding up?
Hi is it still holding up? I read all the Amazon reviews and there were quite a few people that were not happy with its performance. Also does the valve cover use the same size gasket as the plastic ones or does it use something special to aluminum?
Thanks
Seems to be working just fine so far, nothing bad to report. Believe same size as plastic
Hello where to buy?
can u get the black bit in metal...
How has it held up? I've read terrible things about it.
Good so far
Hi. Can you update us on your satisfaction with this item?
Seems to be holding up just fine :)
@@ghostlyrich thank you so much! I am interested in the one for the n14 engine but wanted it unpainted. Apparently that one won't be in stock till November😒
Could always check and see how much a local company would charge to sandblast it. Then dont have to wait
@@ghostlyrich OMG! That's a GREAT idea! Thank you so much! I hadn't thought of that. I will investigate.
No problem usually any anodizing/powder coat shop can also assist with removing it, shouldnt be to expensive either
