@@unc54 People complain because a few ridiculously bad decisions soured an otherwise great season and completely ruined both action-, politics- and drama scenes. They complain because to many, this is a series we've been following for nearly a decade, and D&D made some major missteps in the narrative, that could easily have been avoided. It's really disheartening to a lot of us, because I just want them to end this as well as they started it, and they clearly lack some serious oversight at the writing table. Action, sets, CGI, acting, and so forth is still top notch, and mostly better than anything anyone has ever seen before. It feels like a betrayal when the writing isn't even close to being the same quality.

Winds of Winter was supposed to be out before Season 5 and they were supposed to have the rough draft of a Dream of Spring before this season. It's not fair to them that GRRM has not delivered on his promises. They only have a few months to write scripts for new seasons whereas GRRM hasn't been able to finish a book in 8 years.

Just finished watching all of these recaps now season 8 is only hours away and the detail of all of them is incredible. It is clear how much time and effort has been put into them. GoT is such a massive series that there's alot of things you forget and these videos are a great reminder.

You know, Bran’s powers were really wasted. They could’ve developed a medieval texting system, where he could warg into a bird wherever the recipient is, and spell out his message in sand or something. What a shame.
I tried watching season 8 but never had seen anything of the previous seasons. I ended up watching these a few days arter the season finale and god damn everything makes so much sense now and I can really see why people enjoyed/disliked the series/how it ended. 20/10 job on these vids man

I've just refreshed my memory of S1-6 and caught up on S7 (life's been busy) via your videos. Now I can catch up on S8 this weekend (before some devastating spoiler finds me) and watch the rest of the series with everyone else. They're incredibly good! The choices of what to omit must be quite difficult. The balance of emphasis between the included storylines is spot-on. The pacing is just about ideal. The writing and delivery of the narration are professional level, despite the awkward pronunciation of Old-Valyrian names, which is a minor quibble. And the humor is a master contribution of your own to this masterpiece of a show. I never realized there were so many good laughs in the show! I'm not saying these recaps are flawless. Like the show itself, they are crafted at a very high level, not a perfect level, and that is just fine in both cases. You, Ser, have a gift for this! The many hours you put in really show in the final product. Thank you very much for all the hard work. I'll be back here every time I need the quick version of a series. And eagerly anticipating your version of the final chapter of this one.

Showing scenes from the season doesn't really help me understand what the heck is going on.
