sweet, the grunge song! I caught this special on the comedy network a year or two ago and I've since been waiting for it to come back on so I could record it to no avail...thanks for uploading this part though, you should put up their "Bulbous Bouffant" skit up too!
I like RFV and find this song hilarious, but the sporadic, sudden, brief bursts of laughter in the background sound completely artificial for some reason. Haven't seen a video of a live performance of this. Also mistakenly had thought this was Corky and the Juice Pigs, and now know better. Thanks for the video. :)
The Vestibules - The Grunge Song :) I searched for about 20 years until I found it back around 2010 ..you might also remember 'The Vacant Lot - Slept On His Arms' another one that took me about 20 years to find
this makes sense considering that early Weezer was a direct extension of what might now be seen as the end of grunge... as a songwriter Cuomo was openly Nirvana obsessed- and by a sad twist of fate, Cobain's suicide was but one month before the release of the Blue Album... the rest is rawk history...
I've been looking for this segment since 2007, thank you whoever uploaded this.
I cannot thank you enough.
I'd love the video of their performance of "Christmas on Acid" to be uploaded if you're still going through the archives 15 years later! lol

BTW, the correct title is "The Grunge Song".
awesome. is the show still running?
@KristinNirvana I searched it and came up with nothing. Do you have a link?
Cobaine is crying in Hell that someone figured out his formula
The Pixies formula you mean?
Sounds more like early Weezer than grunge.

great
Cobaine wasnt this formulaic.
It was a lot of the homogenized Nirvana imitators that sounded more like this XD
Smells Like Teen Vestibule.
Male jazz singers
Oh man, they had to add in canned laughter cause they're playing to a dead audience. Certainly the people in the front were not laughing.
I guess you mean this one:
