    Love the over the shoulder camera shots. Its awesome being able to see what you are casting into and it makes it easier to understand what you mean by the transitions or the points. Great video as always. Thanks

    The hook is upside down on your Neko rig. Your line will interfere with the action on the worm tail with the hook that way. Also, the hook point is backward when the bass grab it by the worm tail. Turning the hook point will increase your confidence and hook-up ratio. But your way works good too...apparently... Love your videos.

    I just wacky rig the neko. People say not to do that but I've caught plenty with that lure and never had a problem with hook sets.

    Can you go more in depth on water temps? Meaning, what are “summer” temps, “early fall” temps, etc.

    Haha should’ve watched this before I went fishing this morning, caught a nice chunk on a swim jig.. lost a nicer one because I didn’t “give him the rod/bait” before setting the hook! Something I’ll definitely remember for next time!! Thanks Flukemaster!!

      I use them a lot more than most people so I clean them about every 8 months. So for my oldest one is 2 1/2 years old and still going strong.

    Hey fluke I have a question. Coming from fishing a. Blackmax combo what 13fishing reel do you recommend for a fairly new fisherman that's not a "pro" at casting far yet and needs something that can do everything pretty good. What rods do you recommend to pair them with? A buddy gave me a Lew's superduty reel for a heavy braided setup for heavy cover or frog fishing but finding a good rod to pair it with that's not a couple hundred bucks is HARD there's to many to choose from

  • @sailingjacobe

    • @Flukemaster
      @Flukemaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ponds usually don't have shad but they have bluegill and little minnows and the mover shallow all over the lake in the fall.

    • @hectorpadillajr9301
      @hectorpadillajr9301 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Gene, love your videos man. How are you liking your boat? I'm in the market for a new bass boat and I'm not sure if I want to get a new 19 foot aluminum like yours or spend an extra 15k on a used 20-21' fiberglass boat. Are you happy with the build quality? Any complaints? I hate buying thing twice and want to get the right boat the first time.

    • @Flukemaster
      @Flukemaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is my second Alumacraft Pro 185. I absolutely love this boat. It rides great and it really saves me money over a fiberglass boat. The thing that people don't think about when choosing a boat is how much that boat will cost them each day they are on the water. In fuel alone a fiberglass boat would cost between 80 and 100 dollars a day. My boat costs me between 20 and 40 dollars a day.

      Jason Foulks I had the same thing going for me first few weeks of October. I went out yesterday with a big Rat-L-Trap or get any Rattling Lipless Crankbait. Just cast far and do a yo-yo retrieve. I caught 12 fish yesterday in 2 hours.
