Always good to start with a reaction bait but you can get a reaction out of lots of baits. Good info man.
Man I love your channel...I'm at the Lake now catfishing.
Ray Mack's Kitchen and Grill chicken liver brother?
Hey, Fluke Master, watched this video then ran with a squarebill crankbait to the nearest pond with bass and pulled in a 4 lb chunk. Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration.
WE NEED A BANK FISHING SERIES!!!!!!!P.S YOU ARE GREAT BRO!!
Looks like you're slimming down, Fluke. Keep up the good work.
“The cool thing about bass is that they don’t have hands” 😂
lol I giggled here too
So they have to put it in their mouth your honor.
those reactions strikes are CRUCIAL!!!
I caught a white crappie the other day on a floating crankbait, I noticed something following it and I stopped it and as it was floating up the slab hit and had both set of hooks in his mouth
Love your videos. They are actually the reason I have started Bass fishing. Only been going at it for two weeks now.
First time ever yesterday..caught two spots on a red rattle bait. I enjoy your videos.... between Matt/Tim and you, lots of good info coming out this year and in the past.
Gotta love the reaction bite
I had tension right when my biwaa multi jointed swimbait landed tonight around midnight and I thought I snagged. Kept reeling and it was a decent sized large mouth
really love your vids man I'm more of a saltwater fisherman but these vids due offer me really good tips during spring when I do bass fish 👍
Great lesson. Really hooked on your videos.
Great video. You have some great quality audio despite all of the wind. I've been working on mine, I just built a blimp for my shotgun mic and dead cats for my lavaliers. Keep the videos coming, love your take on fishing.
Charl Goerge western cape south africa, really enjoye your videos, completely new to bass fishing, so new my rod and reel is in post, delivered tomorrow
@1:43 i caught my biggest this way as well as my first ever frog fish, 1 lucky cast towards the bank in maybe 2ft clear water at the most, didnt even see a fish there, soon as the frog hit the water she nailed it hard, 19" 3.4lbs
Love your content Gene..Been watching and learning from you for about a year and a half. You’ve helped me so much. Thank you .!!.
Heck, Flukemaster . . . just the beauty of the lake you are fishing would make any day a great one! I am just going to have to give this a try as I have always favored finesse over power fishing presentations; but, you make a strong case for adding some new approaches when are naturally in their feeding time periods. Brad
Brad Reid only recently getting into the world of bait casters and more aggressive fishing bc I also am way more familiar with finesse. We shall see how it goes. It’s opened up a whole new world of fishing:
Gene you're the man!! Always learn something from your videos.
You are so fun to watch and you helped me start bass fishing
Great video as always Fluke! Always watching at work while I'm wishing I was fishing!
I was fishing last year and couldn’t get a bite. Started ticking brush tops with a lipless and started smashing them. Reaction was the key. Thnx for the tips. 🤙🏻
Great tips Gene. Thanks, you’re the most informative channel out there.
curious how does a crankbait into cover work? how do you work it around vegetation and laydown? just seems like a nightmare to me
My favorite bite! I love a good power fishing reaction bite.
Great tips Gene! Love your videos and tips. I always lean something new. I was out in my Kayak yesterday up here in New York and the water is still very cold but managed to catch a 2lb small mouth bass on a Strike King Rage Menace which was a tip from Greg Blanchard. Keep the videos coming!
I’m at work wishing I was fishing. ☹️
MadB0mber 😩😩same but except I’m too young to drive
Flukemaster = Best channel on TH-cam
Thanks for another great video Gene.
I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot!
Glad to see you back in a boat😂😂
This the FM video I love, keep teaching brother
Hey brother I watched your video on your Alumacraft Pro 185 purchase. Your channel is awesome and I am currently trying to work out a deal on a Pro 185 myself. If I am lucky enough to purchase the boat, I am interested in adding the 2nd and 3rd seat mount pedestals on the bow. I seen that you have 3. Did your boat come equipped like that because the boat I am looking at only has a center mounted pedestal.
Great video, Gene! Thanks for the info!
love your channel and all of your vids if you're ever in northeast georgia I'd love to put ya on some monster trout
Great tips Gene!
What do you use in shallow water with a ton of grass?
Man, it would be awesome to fish with ya here at Table Rock Lake!
Thanks again for the advice and knowledge!
How do you choose topwater depending on conditions? This last full moon I went fishing for about 6 hours (afternoon till night) with not a single bite and I used every bit of my tackle. When the moon came out bass started to eat on top.. I miss a hit with a popper and a friend with a frog.. It was hell, and I am very possitive that those bass where big BIG. Got redemption a few days ago but.. those beast where nowhere to be found. Saludos de Sinaloa, Mexico Fluke
@Flukemaster how do you bounce these lures off sticks or weeds without getting snagged?
Great info as always, Gene.
👍
What are the lures you use with bluebird sky's and high winds
Would you be as aggressive with the lipless in sub 50 degree water?
Where did u get that jacket!?
It's so true I was standing in the water off the bank thought I made a bad cast so I just reeled it in and watched this spotted bass follow and just hammered a texas rig soft bait not 10 feet away from me.
Are you going to fill out the gear used part on your description by chance? Curious what rod and line you were using
Yes, Thanks for reminding me.
Flukemaster No problem. Like always great video. It's very refreshing that your integrity is #1 to you and not money!
BTW I got some of that izorline you recommend buy was wondering what applications did you use it before, before you got sponsored by seagaur?
Thank you for your time
Great info, keep it coming
Would you could consider twitching a fluke a reaction strike
How do you bump your baits without hooking the obstacle?
Love fishing that lake
Do you have a video I can you make one on how to catch and find feeding Bass
Good show flukee
Hey Gene nice video! Quick question what is your go to lipless crankbait color during the pre spawn? Thanks again!
Lakes with some clay banks I like a red or orange. If there isn't clay banks I use a shad color. In small lakes I use bluegill colors.
Good info. Thanks for sharing.
Can you do a saltwater sunfishing video?
If you could only have one bait casing real what gear ratio would you get it in and what line would you put on it
7.3:1 and 15lb Seaguar AbrazX fluorocarbon
Good stuff brother!
"I'll spoon anything" - flukemaster 2018
keep up the great work!
Can you do all bank fishing series
for real, i liked what he did with his buddy who passed.
Where to hold your rod tip when fishing a square bull? Just wanna know some guys techniques.
What is your go to bait this time of year?
Corey Payne squarebill, chatterbait, spinnerbait, weightless senko, texas rigged lizard, dropshot with any 6 inch stick style bait.
Sweer video Gen. Thanx for sharing
Can you offer any advice on how to be a guide for bass fishing ( NC ). I am not a tournament fisherman just want to share my passion for bass fishing. Become a better bass fisherman and help others. Thanks for all the video's and knowledge you share.
Any of you guys know a good budget fish finder with GPS and sonar or down imaging, Thanks
Damn! It's ole Gene Jensen!
This is how I fish the SK Red Eye Shad. My favorite lipless crank. Kills Em
Hey, didn't you used to be Gene Jensen?
Nice!!
STUPID QUESTION ALERT!!
I lose probably 75% of the fish that jump out of the water... What is the proper technique for when a fish jumps?
Devin Ward keep your rod low to the water and keep your line tight. Sometimes it just happens Good luck
Do a video on deep water bass
I've got a bunch of those but I'll have to wait till they go deep this summer to do some more.
Awesome. The bass here have been staying deep later than usual with the cold.
I gonna try dat shiit
good staff!
okay i dont wanna sound like a 4th grader hear...but some of the jargon in fishing is just plain hilarious when you have a gutter mind. case in point 6:30
Make a video of your new units
Love it
Not sure why TH-camrs feel compelled to slap on distracting music back-tracking on videos, but they seem to love them.
I have issues with snagging and losing them when they bump against structure. Tbh i lose more spinners and crankbaits then i catch fish with them. And really dont like using them. Due to that fact. I lost a booyah spinner yesterday in a little bit of grass 😒
1FASIMP up your line size and use a Med-Heavy rod. When you feel the bait getting hung point the rod tip at the bait and keep winding.
Maybe it’s just me but reaction strikes aren’t my best thing. Like a chatterbait or fishing a lipless.
Man fluke that lake looks pretty peaceful
Bro I need to find a lake I can catch bass it has been less than a year but I've only caught 2 in the fall
I.P. Fishing I had a bad spell where I needed a catch, I switch to ultralight. Used 4# small bobber, 1/32 oz jig with strike king minnow. Got a 2lber. Felt good fighting that fish.
another lesson learned.
Gene"By Golly" Jenson!! Only watch this stuff if you want to learn to fish and be entertained.
Wait… your bass don’t have hands??
👍
Is this the reason pros catch fish ?
Nice....very nice..... lol
Dude, you should write an actual fishing text book.
Love your videos, but sure wish you could lose the hat. lol.
Touchdown!!!! Alabama wins!!!!!
I love my nose-down RatLTraps, perfect for drift-bouncing along shallow rivers' bends & eddies imitating perch and shad feeding off the bottom, smallies and pike think they're getting the jump on em an try to eat it up
