i haven't watched the video yet but the title is what im responding to, you're supposed to take your van to a place where its warmer that's why you live in a van because its mobile. you work from your van so you can work from anywhere and can drive to a warmer climate. good luck and i hope you're able to get warm bcz being cold sucks!

This episode brought back a lot of memories about Last of The Summer Wine! It was a fixture on a Sunday night too. I was 17 when it started. Even watched reruns with my in-laws when they were getting frail. Thanks Liam and Janine for this vlog! Sorry about your heater, but I’m sure it will get fixed, hopefully for Christmas. The cakes and ice creams looked delicious! Take care.
We didn't watch last of the summer wine too much. I think we watched now and again but what Liam said about Sunday evenings brought back so many memories. My mum would do us a lovely tea of sandwiches, crumpets, cake and a few other bits and a pot of tea then we'd watch Songs of praise and antiques roadshow(mums choice 🤣) and although I didn't enjoy the TV too much it was the best night of the week ☺️ life seemed simpler in those days.
I love your channel you've got an excellent production team, quite professional! I'm binge watching some of your vids to catch-up. You should write a book about your travels and hints on van life even if it's an ebook. I'd buy it

I absolutely adored Last Of The Summer Wine and loved coming to Holmfirth for the first time in my early twenties. As a Mum I have always loved taking my son there for the day and now we live just down the road in Meltham, the Huntsman where you were parked is just up the road. Its such a beautiful place round here! I suspect the mountain you saw with snow on was Holme Moss. I am so glad you had a lovely time here and I realised I have seen Ivan The Terrible round and about at the local reservoirs of which we have many!

Hi guys love your videos Just a heads up with you diesel heater , when you want to turn it off , just run it at full power for 10 minutes to get rid of the soot and build up in the heat exchanger , then should be ok Cold weather in the van is not good Keep up your great work guys 👍🏽👍🏽

Hi Liam, Error code E-8 can mean that the fuel line is blocked or restricted flow. Disconnect the fuel line from the upstream connection of the pump. Go to the control and select fuel priming. There should be small jets of fuel comming out from the pump. It should look strong pulses. If this is ok the there is a shell temperature sensor in the body of the heater check this connection. If the connection is tight then the sensor could be faulty. You can get one from Amazon. Hope this helps.I also live in my van and at present in Beverley.

Just been watching your video. The problem with your diesel heater is a blockage in your injector nozzle, either a solid blockage or a sooted calcification. You will have to open up your diesel heater and use two spanners to disconnect the nozzle. You will see a little brass nozzle and underneath it a metal pipe with two flat sides of a pipe which you can attach a spanner to. Undo the little brass nozzle. On the brass nozzle there is a code written extremely small (part number for buying new nozzle). Buy a new nozzle and screw it in. What also might work if you are near a petrol station find the air compressor for inflating tyres. Hold the little brass nozzle you have taken off your heater, push the type inflator hose up against the outlet of the nozzle and try to blast some air back through to clear the jet. Sometimes squeezing a little washing up liquid onto the front of the nozzle helps to clean any detritus from the injector nozzle.
Would love to be as brave as you guys and sell up and live on the road. Fair play to you both even tho you’re having some bad luck. You only get one life 👏👏
To be fair, there's probably hundreds of Chinese heaters working fine. The main thing seems to be fitting a new fuel line (rigid plastic) and then periodic maintenance of cleaning the fuel inlet parts.
@@althecampervanman1619 facts are you get what you pay for People I know with them have issues things going wrong ie screen packs in,injector fails,pump packs in, Carbon’s up ect and not controlling the heat ect set mine to a temperature when it reaches it it turns off and kicks back in when temp drops cheaper ones keep running they just slow the fan I would be disappointed if I found one but each to tha own I suppose 👍

Saw your dilemma with wood oils, and comments disabled on your latest video so I'm posting here, we were recommended decking oil for a new fence, we chose an oak/ antique oak, it's has no yellow tones. We were told its the best thing for natural wood and durability. Really hope this helps. We love you guys, from a couple of motorhomies, you pair are awesome, best content out there🥰❤💕

We looked at properties in Holmfirth but decided it was to remote. We bought a beautiful property in Scawthorpe.. Another nice village is Cawthorne with Cannon Hall. Good luck on your travels.
Sorry to hear about your heater. Hats,gloves,double layers of socks, thermals or more layers of clothes would all help and be free or cheap. Remember many a time growing up ,having ice inside the windows and no money for the meter.

Seems like things always break down when you need them most. We had a camper that something very reliably did not work every single time we went out until we got so sick of it we sold it.

Hey guys your diesel heater saga is going to give last of the summer wine a run for its money in its longevity! Think it might be time to get a new one ! It seems the all in one systems are more reliable if you do decide to replace either with a original or all in one system and are passing near Stafford I am happy to fit it for you as all the wires and holes are already there should only take an hour.
After watching American van lifers it's so nice to watch UK now and more realistic none perfect van life experiences 👌 ie. Diesel heater issues that can happen. So hope you 🙏 get it fixed for warmth so I shall carry on watching more. I've a camper with no diesel heater fitted yet ,purchased a cig lighter fan heater tried once, Blew my electrics ....Holy moly...but was just a fuse when a kind auto electrician looked at it...not taken the van out yet so I've not braved the cold until I sort a heater x
Glad you got your heater fixed ! Vanlife can be challenging in the winter to say the least ! I live year round in a van in Canada , I woke up to frozen water this morning , I dont run my diesel heater all night instead I sleep under 2 downfill duvets . My biggest concern is my 16 yr dog being warm and comfortable. Our coldest months are starting dropping to 22 below zero lastnight . I cant wait for spring to come lol
Hey you guys, jst seen your vid, fantastic I've jst moved out my van after 11yrs of van life, so I can upgrade to a newer one, watching yourselfs being cold was never an issue as I fitted small logburner, and took advantage of the numerous fallen trees wereva I was parked, plus if gas went, could always cook, have hot water, shame you don't have room, I admire you both, and can't wait to return to that life of freedom, ime a mechanic of 35yrs if you are ever in the Lancashire area spec, Preston and have any vehicle issues ime based here for 6mnths

In an emergency, tea light candle and terracotta flowerpot can provide a lot of heat. Loads of online videos about it.

We looked at properties in Holmfirth but decided it was to remote.
We bought a beautiful property in Scawthorpe.. Another nice village is Cawthorne with Cannon Hall. Good luck on your travels.

Sorry to hear about your heater. Hats,gloves,double layers of socks, thermals or more layers of clothes would all help and be free or cheap. Remember many a time growing up ,having ice inside the windows and no money for the meter.
Yeah you are right, although I think if we can push to get it sorted then we should really try...and we are going to do that (as well as thermal up 🌲💚

Seems like things always break down when you need them most. We had a camper that something very reliably did not work every single time we went out until we got so sick of it we sold it.

Hey guys your diesel heater saga is going to give last of the summer wine a run for its money in its longevity!
Think it might be time to get a new one ! It seems the all in one systems are more reliable if you do decide to replace either with a original or all in one system and are passing near Stafford I am happy to fit it for you as all the wires and holes are already there should only take an hour.

After watching American van lifers it's so nice to watch UK now and more realistic none perfect van life experiences 👌 ie. Diesel heater issues that can happen. So hope you 🙏 get it fixed for warmth so I shall carry on watching more. I've a camper with no diesel heater fitted yet ,purchased a cig lighter fan heater tried once, Blew my electrics ....Holy moly...but was just a fuse when a kind auto electrician looked at it...not taken the van out yet so I've not braved the cold until I sort a heater x

Glad you got your heater fixed ! Vanlife can be challenging in the winter to say the least ! I live year round in a van in Canada , I woke up to frozen water this morning , I dont run my diesel heater all night instead I sleep under 2 downfill duvets . My biggest concern is my 16 yr dog being warm and comfortable. Our coldest months are starting dropping to 22 below zero lastnight . I cant wait for spring to come lol

Hey you guys, jst seen your vid, fantastic I've jst moved out my van after 11yrs of van life, so I can upgrade to a newer one, watching yourselfs being cold was never an issue as I fitted small logburner, and took advantage of the numerous fallen trees wereva I was parked, plus if gas went, could always cook, have hot water, shame you don't have room, I admire you both, and can't wait to return to that life of freedom, ime a mechanic of 35yrs if you are ever in the Lancashire area spec, Preston and have any vehicle issues ime based here for 6mnths
