Thank you so much!!! 🙏🏾
I can see you're going all in on TH-cam. You're doing great my man. Keep it up! Never stop learning!
Thank you I truly appreciate it!
Been doing this for years with Quest 2's. It is an excellent way to bring a screen or camera into your headset. I recommend nExt Camera
Use a USB hub to get power, keyboard and mouse and a capture card as well as external storage
Do recommend any?
@@TheK3yMaker Anything that will work with Samsung Dex seems to be fine. It's just for to be a USB-C hub with a power input. If there's an HDMI output on the hub, that port won't work (with the Quest 2) but the other ports all work fine. I have several different ones I pick up and use interchangeably
@@monkeyjshowi tried nEXT camera but there doesnt seem to be any volume output. Runs the games just fine on the quest just doesnt have volume and what seems to be no volume settings to change that. Any insight to get it working?
@@MichaelDemonte-rr7yx Volume is in the settings. Maybe I will try to throw together a quick video today. You have to choose the input. The UI is not super-intuitive, but there are no ads and it's very stable. The dev still does regular updates. More people should email him asking for a version specific to the quest, perhaps with options for 360° cameras. I have emailed him in the past and he does respond, but he wasn't big on the idea of a VR build at the time.
Hi, you have lost me with the usb camera app. When i search for that I get a zillion apps and usb cameras. Can you link to the correct app please
Thank you for mentioning me. It's good to see that this method is also useful for work.
I love you work and thank you for your videos !!
Hi do have to use USB Camera Pro APK from the internet or can get it from the app store paid version would it still work?
Thank you so much appreciate!!!!!!
Good to know. Thanks
No problem
If you download movies to Mac and then show them through virtual desktop is this higher quality than seeing them in bigscreen through someone else showing 4k movies?
@@christianlamb maybe I have not tested that .. but it do depends on who is streaming it and there internet connection… you can download it directly to your headset or use something like plex to stream directly to your headset
Just subscribed. Can I ask a few things. What is the HDMI dongle you are using? Can you link to the program that needs sideloaded? Also, how is the latency when playing a console through it?
Thank you and of course
Here is the HDMI dongle Hagibis USB 3.0 Video Capture... www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMT5SNFQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Unfortunately TH-cam won’t allow me to upload an APK file but if you search for it on google it will show up usb camera…
Also when you plug directly into the headset it’s Very very low latency….
Hope that helps thanks
@backtoreality8556 Thank you so much for the prompt reply. You're doing great!! I tried doing youtube once and loved it even though I wasn't very good at it. I bought a house since then and now don't have a good space for it so I had to give it up for now. Hope to get back on it someday. Your graphics and transitions look really good.
@@christopherpethtel9389 thank you I appreciate it …… once you get that space hop back in… 1 video at a time 👍
I'm a newbie, you lost me at 3:13 USB camera and also at 3:22 "it shows up here" (what shows up where?) and 3:30 adding another PC (how?). Where do we get "this program" USB camera pro. please tell us how to get it and also if we get it using a pc or meta quest. "you side load it using side quest" if you don't define side loading and side quest, please leave a link. I think this is the second video by you that I watched this week that had similar issues.
@@jaydubya4349 thank you for the update and feedback… I will make a dedicated how to video tonight to show everything step by step …. Thank you again….
Does this feel the same as playing a game on a monitor or does it still have a delay like when i play flatscreen through link cable or airlink?
so much better then Air Link ... its a direct connection ... from ps5 to headset... hope that helps
Been doing this since Quest 1... What the industry needs to do is Standardize a streaming protocol and allow developers to do this wirelessly. Example, if there was a solid standard, we would easily be able to launch Samsung DEX on phone inside the headset. Im surprised a developer hasn't come up with a Android software reciever for Dex yet.
Like everything it comes down to licensing and money ... IMO ...
@@backtoreality8556 True... It's a shame because it stiffles advancements..
New to vr, can someone direct me on how to take games that are on my ps4 and library and make them play on my quest 3? Same with rider 5 to quest. I’ll figure it all out yet going to take a bit of time. Thanks for video on this hack 👍🏼
@@thatsmyrc the only way I know is 2 ways … one is connecting directly to the headset as you seen in this video and 2 is using PS5 remote play on the quest to remote into your ps4/5 hope that helps
@@backtoreality8556 thank you for responding back, I will dabble in this this evening if I got time to see if I can make it happen 👍🏼
Could you explain it in more detail and step by step? It's not clear to me how you see the content of your PC in the quests or the programs you use. In your video, the panels are not visible. Thank you
@@arturoaaz hello I put out this video explaining it in detail… th-cam.com/video/HD1RfKzwKos/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SCTqqt3nDtbdceJn and if you have any questions after that video please feel free to message me thank you
so how do you get it to display 3 diff "apps"? like on mine if I'm viwing the browser and goto open something else the browser is minimized (I thought)??
when you bring up a browser look at the bottom you should see a white line under it ..thats the main window.. take you controller point it at the top of the main window click and hold then drag it to another window ... now the white line should have nothing above it . now you can bring up a new window ... Hope that helps 😀
It would be great if the viewer could give feedback
@@Khan-mg9bs I love feedback … please do thanks
Hi do I have to use USB Camera Pro APK from the internet or can I get it from the app store paid version would it still work?
@@fabfelix337 I couldn’t find a paid app in the Meta App Store… so for now I believe you have to get it from the internet… if you find a way please comment to let others know …. Thanks
@@backtoreality8556
I have got the paid version in the Google play store. Would that one be okay to use or do I have to get an APK mod version?
What is the name of the charging port you have?
Here is the Amazon link…. a.co/d/4sRARMI …. This is the same one I have
Interestingidea. It uses hdmi insteaad of quest link but i will try it
It’s great and clear because it’s a direct connection…. HDMI capture card with a USB-C out …
Good to see your channel blowing up bro! One question, does the headset get kinda hot or other performance issues when you add a screen from a second computer with remote display?
Thanks for the love ….. it doesn’t get hot at all …. Works great….. I used to have it plugged in when I’m sitting and working but now I have the BoBovr S3 so I just switch batteries… it works great 👍….hope that helps thanks 😊
Can you share the program link?
this is the app.... you just have to find the APK for it ... its simple just google it ... hope this helps g.co/kgs/ccSQAnF
@@backtoreality8556 thanks
I am going to love this to use with my Switch. Thank you so much for this info. ^.^
Thank you and Happy Gaming!!!
Unfortunately the latency is pretty bad for action games, and not feasible at all for pvp. Still a cool way to connect though for sure
@@mudai_ thanks … I don’t play a lot of competitive PVP shooters so thanks for the update … but I do play first person shooters and it was spot on when I connect directly to the headset… thanks and Happy Gaming
@@backtoreality8556 sorry i wasn’t tryna crap on this method. It could just be the cable i was using, it’s not the same one you used. I was getting at least half a second input delay with mine
Have you not heard of virtual desktop? I have my ROG ally PC and my main gaming PC desktops on my headset no hack needed unless I am missing something special you mentioned you are doing here.
@@Steelninja77 yes I use Virtual Desktop also … but this hack can bring anything with an HDMI output in VR … no software to download on your computer… like my work computer I can’t download the virtual desktop software or anything for that matter.. also you can bring your IPad or iPhone or Nintendo switch etc inside of VR … it’s Great 👍
@@backtoreality8556 Oh ok. tbh i had not heard of those little capture cards that plug in the USB. I usually just use the adrenaline software on my PC. when you plug it in to the quest 3 does it charge the quest 3 while you use it? Co's if so i might get one because when i use quest game optomiser to up the resloution usually the recording function causes artifacts and blurred text etc on the quest so this would be a way to run the game optomised and record it externally maybe. Do the capture cards have storage to save the recordings yeah? I was just looking at some. I couldn't find your brand in the UK's amazion and it is sold out in the US amazon.
@@backtoreality8556 Would be good to have my rog ally and steamdeck in the headset without latency as long as it charges it some at least I know the actual charger does not keep the quest 3 at 100% when gaming which sucks. so annoying that. luckily it lasts way long enough for me. But annoying that you cannot keep it topped up when using the thing I hate that. It goes down slower with a powered link cable etc but still goes down when using PCVR.
@@Steelninja77 I use the BoboVr S3 (Not M3) headset and it keeps my headset at 100 ... its a perfect option ... hope that helps
@@backtoreality8556 yeah my headset battery does the same but not when gaming on PCVR though I have to use a powered link cable for that that doesn't keep it at 100 it just goes down slower is all it does.
Can't you just use Virtual Desktop...Or "Link"? - Perfect PC inside headset... Am I missing something here?
You can but for work PC's that you can not download anything to or for an IPad or Switch this works Great....
@@backtoreality8556 I see, thanks
without links it's useless my friend.
Hello and thank you ... I made a follow up setup video with all the links you need . th-cam.com/video/HD1RfKzwKos/w-d-xo.html .. hope this helps thanks
