Got to love wrenching on equipment I know a lot of guys don’t like it but I think the best operator knows their machine inside and out Good job Brandon
Starting a brush cutting job on Monday but I’ve got about an hour or two worth of getting all the dust and junk cleaned and blown out from the last job I did Monday morning before I get started. It’s almost a full time job keeping skid steers clean. The whole thing is just like a big vacuum and anything that can get sucked in there will. Here’s to another 1000 hours on the old girl! 👍
Had to smile I seen the shroud missing, then thought it’s to late to say anything because it all ready been taken care of. The oils and filters are machines life blood , and cheap compared to the repairs that occur due the lack of proper oil maintenance. Great 👍 content. 🇺🇸🦅🌏⚓️🇺🇸
I bet O’Reilly 10W-30 isn’t one of the preferred brands listed in the owners manual! You have so much more wrenching patience than I’ll ever muster! Thankfully my baby backhoe is a lot simpler to get service and easier to get to. If it wasn’t I’d pay to have it done. Washing a balky baby would only be a pinch easier than that is. I bet you’re glad this job is behind you for a while!
Lol no not quite. I’ve gotten better over the years I use to get so annoyed working on things it would drive me crazy! I couldn’t believe how much mud and dirt came out of it 🤣. Good seeing you today
Good to do maintenance! You work HARD for it and it works HARD for you. And I don't recall your equipment ever going down in all your videos (and that's counting two operators!) I read a comment below about "trouble light" and I'll share, I bought a few 70 to 100,000 lumen headlights you wear from EBAY and they are amazing & cheap too. Good job! Sonny
Yes it is. So far knock on wood I’ve been lucky and this machine has never let me down on a job. But I really try to keep up on everything. Appreciate the comment
Wrench 🔧 time,. Maintenance is key to keep your equipment , when you get frustrated step back and take a break, always help me .. (aircraft mechanic for 22 years..) .. keep on digging!
Very thorough and well done - that dipstick looked like it was a real pain but I do agree that the silicone should help with the wear problem. BTW, Dirt Boss was on his roller today so I told him how much Mrs Elite liked to run those rollers!
great job buddy and great video as always 😎👊🏻👍🏻 i just changed the oil and filters in both of my trucks today lol😅 but i have to change the water pump in one of my trucks always something
That's the one thing I re!really liked about my 262B Cat is the back door was solid metal and the radiator was on top above the engine and the fan was driven by a hydraulic motor and the radiator would swing up out of the way of everything, and if one of the guy's backed into anything it wouldn't hurt anything.
Equipment maintenance is a Royal pain but needed I have 2 Large work shops Dat allows me to handle all maintenance & repairs I run some vary large equipment & I have a designated wash bay witch helps alot
I'd suggest power washing the machine before maintenance. I have a TL8 and TB240 and I won't touch those machines without power washing first. I learned this from a good dealer. Much less chance of contamination.
Maintenance is key to the healthy life of a machine. I seen a few things that you didnt do...lol. You washed it but forgot to get a good coat of wax on the paint. And what about fixing that rattle in the door???? hahaha. I washed my "uchi" machines every week, and once a year, usually winter off season they got waxed and detailed and repainted certain parts. Yes, my OCD kicked in and I had to have everything looking new...lol.
Lol yeah it’s in desperate need of a new paint job I’m hoping to do that here soon. It drives me crazy that’s it’s all scratched up. I’ve waxed the 260 I think 4 times lol! I’m the same way I want my stuff clean and shiny 😁
Thanks for the videos. Just picked up my first machine a 2011 Tl250 and your videos are very helpful. Would you happen to know the part # for the left hydrolic rear lIght cover? My machine is missing the cover
Nice! My machine is a 2011 as well. I bought it in 2012 with 900 hours it now has 9400 hours. It’s been an awesome machine. I’ll see if I can find the part number for you
@@eliteearthworksllc that's great news going forward. I hope I can get that many hour with little to no problems. I see you use the oriellys brand oil for your hydrolic oil, does it seam to perform well?
@@Powerstrokepat yes that’s all I’ve ever used in the hydraulics. The 250 is one of their best built loaders so you will have no problem getting a ton of hours out of it
Whoever named the trouble light "trouble light" was right. They're nothing but trouble to get it to stay where you want it and be able to see what you're doing.
I use regular 10w30. I’m not sure what the difference is but I don’t think it matters. My pump has 9900 hours on it and no problems so far. So I think your good with regular 10w30
I greatly appreciate your maintenance videos. They have help me a lot! The manuals are very vague in detail sometimes. I have a TL230 with 3,300 hours on it that I use on my farm property. No day-to-day production work like you do, but I still do all the maintenance work myself. Have you ever had to trouble hydraulic system function. All my functions work, but I think the speed and possibly pressure might be lower than spec. I understand Pressure=Force and Flow=Speed so I’m wondering if I might have a relief valve that is relieving at a lower than specified pressure for the force issue? I’ve timed the boom raise/lower operation, and the bucket curl up/down operation which seem to be about double the amount of time listed in specifications. For the work I do, it has not become enough of a problem to dig into yet, but I’m mainly trying to gain the possible knowledge for the day it does present more of an issue. I need to possibly buy a pressure gauge set for troubleshooting relief valves compared to shotgunning the various valves in hopes of getting it right. Are there technicians you talk with about issues? I live in Louisburg, KS. My son goes to college in Pittsburg, Ks and frequently travels to Joplin, MO. That tidbit is not relevant, but simply we live relatively close by.
Thank you! I’m glad to hear they are helpful! I will have to look into that I’m sure there a relief valve. I have two techs I can talk to and see what they say. Have you changed the pilot filter I know sometimes if mine is over due the hydraulics will be a touch slower. That’s cool he’s goes to school there it’s a great college. I’ll see what I can find out on that 👍🏻
