Is it just me, or has the average iRating gone up in the top splits since Suellio's content has been coming out more? Seems a lot more stacked these days and I'm also one benefitting from his great teaching style. Thanks, Suellio! I've been loving your book and feel like I control the car now instead of sitting around and waiting for the car to finally react to rough inputs. I'm very analytical and your approach is perfect!
woof, im so new at this it is way over my head. but im going to keep trying and appreciate the teachings! I keep spinning out at big corners and trying to understand.
There are many parallels between racing and playing music. Somehow, your relaxed hands technique is a way to 'listen' more carefully. Knowing your huge musical background, i guess you could use sound and rhythm more to explain some of your concepts. To hear, the differences in input and timing. Maybe different instruments linked to braking, steering and throttling. Maybe using a metronome, who knows. I guess there're definitly ways to use your musical background for this. :)
Thanks Suellio, I found that using ffb the correct way the feel for grip or the lack thereof is crucial, let me explain why I did not notice this earlier. I have chronically inflamed tendons in my elbows, wrists and shoulders. That made me use very low ffb settings on my then-used LTG920 on my Xbox-s, and because the belt-driven LTG920 was quite loud and tended to go ""lock"" (it got stuck/ rigid) when using high-ish FFB settings that hurt my arms tendons. I started Iracing 6 months ago, got a Moza R5 set (incl.the lite brake kit) and used it at low FFB, but then I saw you explaining the FFB settings in 1 of your coach videos about trail braking and how to rotate better etc. Now i use the auto ffb function, and that made me feel the ffb way better while the FFB it gives back is higher than my LTG920 did with the ""lock the wheel" problem I had before. It has greatly improved my driving and my Iracing stats, and its more silent to on my kitchen table setup. I trusted your advice and it has worked for me in a big positive way, and I fully agree with your relaxed, smooth, ""light-hands"" advice. I used to play guitar and found out the hard way (hurt my arms/ tendons) by gripping/ pressing too hard/ tensing up worked counter-productive. And I know you play piano and it applies there perfectly too, and it can and/or will improve other things in life too. Can I see/ hear you play piano somewhere? I have been into music for most of my life, f.e. I had 5.5 years (from when I was 21 yo and joined an Operette Club, because of a girl I liked to get to know. And that got me a part as one of the lead male figures of that year's Operette, and they found out I had a terrible singing technique and needed to learn to do that properly etc. )of classical singing lessons ("belle canto"{ (Methodo pratico-Faccai, tenor)) and am really curious about what you play on the piano. I have tried to learn how to play the keyboard but failed LOL I can ""rake"" most Chords LOL But moving ten fingers separately fries my brain, just like reading sheet music does LOL Practice, practice, and practice some more really helps one improve when using good techniques. And, it is always good to get outside advice for getting to realize your bad habits and try to get rid of them. Thanks again for all the great advice you shared Suellio
Best coach o. The net , I watched many videos in cornering and learned barely anything I watched this video n feel like I understand all the concepts n able to diagnose my exit problem.!!
I have the most problem with late entry. Like you said, passive driving style, waiting for the car to rotate. Sometimes for me it's a result of releasing the brakes too much in the early entry phase. It's going to take a lot of work lol. But just knowing that it's happening has unlocked something for me and I've gotten faster. Now to build consistency with it.
Was great to meet you in Germany (and even featuring shortly in your sim racing expo vid, lol) where I bought your book. It is a mindblowing collection of information, and a extremely detailled. Thanks mate, keep up your great work!
Hi Suellio, I like the way you deliver your know-how, and I can already see that your course is full of wisdom. I got a question tho - does your course also contain exercises to put the theory to practice?
I seriously wish I had the means to do the course. I do struggle to trust the grip, and turning with the rears. I realize it's alot about practice practice practice..... finding the limit (but I also need to dare to fail in practice to actually learn where the limit is)
Hello guys, very good video @Suellio Almeida as usual and very instructive ! I have a question tho, how much of that applies to street racing with regular stock cars ? (low power) - Is trail braking the way to go even with stock ( and low power ) cars, and regular tires ? - For the reference point for braking and the "consistancy", how much of that applies for regular corners, diffrent tarmac temperatures, brake wear, tyre wear from day to day etc -With slow stock cars, low downforce, is it better to go a little bit over the limit to keep the max momentum possible, or as usual slow is smoth, smooth is fast ? Thanks !
First! Nice coaching Suellio! I take another course where the Maximum Rotation Point is actually called the Minimum Velocity Point. What do you think about these terms? Which one sounds better to understand?
@@SuellioAlmeida In the video (Summary) you say that the late entry is less rotation than the early entry. That irritated me, but after the comment here even more so. Or do you mean by "less tendency" to force the car more with the steering? (So less tendency, but ultimately more rotation through steering).
Can someone help me? I play assoluto racing and i don't know how to make good car setups, like, i always understeer, the rears have too much grip and front doesn't
I bought your book and it is a great work. I plan to buy your Moto Racing Checklist, but I am not so capable of listening English,. So I like to ask what kind of platform your videos are played on. Chrome can generate English subtiles for me to understand more easily.
Nice. Now I know about understeer/oversteer snap on the Porsche GT3 R in ACC. Is it possible that you could do a session on the tools you can use to rotate the car, such as lifting, trail braking and steering and combinations of these? Still working on these.
That's a whole module on my online course, called "Balance". Around 20 lessons, including how to control the rotation of the car depending on each stage of the corner
You opened my eyes a lot of times and I think your videos are precious 👍

Always has been my goal since 2020!!
Just received your book from Amazon. So far I am very impressed.
I was having the snap oversteer at the exact same corner (t6-7) at Montreal last weekend, now I know why. Very nicely explained.

I purchased the book and it’s really working, my time lap and skills are improved!! Really recommend it!!
gimme course for free and i give u 5% of my salary when i make it as a driver
Same 😂
You won’t make it as a driver if you won’t invest in yourself. This course is basically free relatively to all other costs in motorsports :)
Make more coming dead last in a lol tournament then 1st in sim racing anyway 😂
Lol. Most of the drivers don't have any salary. They pay to race the cars
I'm sure that'll convince him

Can you make a video about where to look in every stage of corners?
can you please make a detailed video of “Complex Corner” Mainly Mountain passes / Touge (not drifting) grip driving
Is the general rule to early entry when the corner is shorter and late entry when the corner is longer?

Will 2.0 have the same information as 1.0 but more, or only the new information in a way that you´ll need 1.0 to understand 2.0?
2.0 contains everything from 1.0 + new and better explanations, more examples, breakdowns, mistakes and exercises

im so dumb, i need 5-6-10 stages of a corner. there is no hope :(
How would this work for, lets say, a simple L shaped corner, would the corner stages just be shorter?
