    Great video. Your video answered all my questions on this device. I just purchased one of these and the instructions don't mention if the Power Tank can be used in conjunction with other devices. Keep the videos coming...they are very informative and often reinforces my purchases for my Celestron NexStar 6SE.

    Thanks for this Vlad as I’ve been looking at buying one for my go to 127 Maksutov but didn’t know if it was worth it. I will now pull the trigger on it. Thanks again 👍

      Glad it was helpful. This is one piece of kit that I certainly will keep for my grab and go mount. It saves me a trip in bringing out the bigger Yeti 400 battery👍

    So far you taught me how to clean my corrector (used 6se its mint now)and the purchase of my first battery, exactly what i need for now! I have a dew shield but no dew heater... Humidity isn't constant up here, but summers in the north east definitely can be... Have you ever used/tried "vortex air flow" as a dew preventative ? I was thinking of buying a mini usb computer fan and creating a "adapter" in the dew shield to create a slight vortex of air. I learned really quickly how important dew preventive is! It was the first time i ever saw saturn though so it was all worth it! Sorry for the confusing jumble here but your video made me a little happier :D Edit: I'm not against a heater but i just assumed this battery pack wouldn't be able to power that, but now i see its possible!

    I have had that battery for over 2 years now, first caught my eye with was the compact size and being able to strap it to a tripod leg, I leave there until it needs charging. It is powering an 8SE with wi-fi module and star align camera. Also, thanks for demonstrating that will also power a dew ring, been thinking about getting one but I was concerned with it drawing too much on the battery, now I know.

    Hi Vlad, Great video as always. I've been doing astrophotography for the last year and I've learned a tremendous amount from your videos.
    Would this battery be sufficient to power my ASIair, cooled astro cam and AVX mount at the same time? I live in the desert and don't use dew heaters.
    Thanks again for all your wonderful videos. I bought my Baader zoom based on your recommendation and love it.

      I think you will be fine for 3-4 hours. If your imaging all night long I would really look at a larger battery. BTW thanks for the nice feedback!

    Thanks for the review, I am wondering how long it lasts in the cold, during the winter months?

    • @AVTAstro
      @AVTAstro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haven't tested that. I would guess it will last for at least 5hrs though.

    How do you make a 'Fake Alignment'? in order to have the scope start tracking. Also where did you get the adaptor to attach the handcontrol on the tripod leg? Thanks.

    • @AVTAstro
      @AVTAstro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the easiest way to do thar is just a quick 1 star alignment. It only takes a sec to do. Perfectly good enough for visual tracking. Hand controller holder comes with the mount. If you do not have one you can just use some velcro to secure it.

    Cool, I was thinking about buy one of those. Did you leave the dew heater on the whole time?

    • @AVTAstro
      @AVTAstro  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it was not on, I just tested that it would work.

    Hi Vlad. Sounds good however, what concerns me is the actual lifetime of the Lithium Ion batteries as opposed to the LiPo ones. It appears it's 3 years vs 10 years if what the sellers say is accurate.

    • @AVTAstro

      Yeah not sure about the longevity of the battaries. Good point though.

    It does not come with a cigarette plug adapter for out in the field?

    • @AVTAstro

      Not that I know of. Now you could buy/make one so that's a good ideal👍

    Great video. I am toying with the idea of purchasing the Celestron NexStar 6se or 8se. Is there a huge difference between the two scopes? Again, thank you for this video. I have added this Power Tank to my shopping cart at Amazon.

      if you do the ratio of the square of the radii's of the 6se and the 8se, the 8se has 78 percent more light gathering power and for the price difference, I believe it is worth purchasing the 8se! IMO!

      can you help me please? I bought a NexStar 8se telescope, and I'm thinking about using it with a Power bank and a USB converter cable for 12v and 2a... do you know if 2a is enough to run the motor without problems? I saw that on the Celestron website there is a 12v and 2a source being sold for this telescope.... but I'm worried, because Celestron's mobile power tank is 12v and 7a
