If only Target had put up some signs to tell people not to do this! In all seriousness, though. I feel for the victim here. I hope they're able to recover their property and the suspects are caught.
How can they lose money by cracking them if they stole them? They might potentially lose some value, but there’s a good chance all of them will grade 10 again
@@tredici72 good point. Grading companies should add a theft protection feature where they can map the topography of card surfaces and edges to be able to identify cards reported as stolen (a card "fingerprint"). That would actually be of some value.
I checked all the psa 10s being sold on offerup. None of the certs matched. There was one ( from the 5 card pack) that was a 10 but its in California and the cert is blurred out... never understood why people hide cert numbers.
If the culprit cracks them there is zero chance he gets anything back. They will probably hold them and sell them slowly or regrade some. Really unfortunate.
My reaction exactly. Plus, every one in USA carries one. Really sucks for the person, not trying to minimize the situation here. But holy shit, I wouldnt even trade ONE Moonbreon in a parking lot
extremely sad what is happening to our hobby. i miss pre covid when collecting was fun and there was less hype around pokemon. so easy to get product and not have to worry about being held at gunpoint over children’s playing cards
@@OpossumBud it truly was. i could collect on peace and not have to worry about investor bros making modern sets and modern pulls insane prices. healthy trading at card shops too
And at gun point… most places that would result in pretty lengthy prison time, but Portland probably not just like where I live. Hopefully, there is some accountability that is found!
the last deal I did was a little on the higher end, I rolled up with my bullet proof vest on and my sidearm on my hip... said sorry, I just got off work. deal went smooth.
We recently unlisted our singles on our local marketplace simply because we feel it is safer and better for us to sell on ebay. We had to learn how to ship, but ultimately, it was better for us. Always disappointing to see.
Well that's horrible, but let me just say if it were me I'd just hold em for like 4-8 years til people forget about it, sell em off individually raw. Absolutely gg for the original owner if this person has any patience.
Seattle and Portland are terrible. One time I’ve been, car was broken into and lost everything. If I’m stupid it’s only for going there in the first place
It's just terrible, the things people will do for just a Pokemon card. It's amazing that someone was able to get this in so many different languages, but you really should keep that kind of stuff at home, no matter what the person will give you. If it means something to you, hold on to it. As far as these criminals go, I don't know what they'd do to that collection, God forbid they do anything at all. Why has the Pokemon TCG, something that's supposed to be fun and enjoyable for everyone, turned into a dangerous game about money? People are morons. I pray he gets his collection back, and I pray even more that he keeps expensive things at home.
Just curious, idk if you have anymore info, but why were they driving with these? This seems like their prized collection, we're they selling them? I know you said they were meeting up for a trade or sale but if it wasn't for these, just curious why they would leave their home.
not sure if you mentioned it, but the dude was supposed to meet a day or 2 before hand and flaked on the sale, he assumed they were casing the area out
Me personally more then likely a inside job how would this person know this person was carrying such a high value slab stack chances just being a random robbery is very slim but just my own opinion I’m 2 hours from Seattle and Portland it’s a shame see this in my area but it’s definitely everywhere I was in Portland Thursday for work and wow that city is a piece of work to say the least
Was suprising when this happened in the parking lot of locals. I cant speak for the seller but poor soul got robbed by meeting outside IIRC the other store entrance that was currently closed. Oregons a mess thankfully he is safe
No if they where smart they would crack them and re grade the expensive ones not all at once and hopefully psa or bgs cracks down on them if they try to submit all at once
Twin Oaks Card Show has a show happening at the The Outlet Collection (good ole Supermall ) in Auburn Jan 4-5. Buyers and Sellers should look be wary of those cards if the thief tries to trade/cash out there.
This is scary for sure. I have been trying to stay more on eBay for my transactions and selling. I also have been considering meeting in front of the police stations to stay safe since people might not be stupid enough to do things like this when they can potentially get caught.
The story doesn't add up to me. Why did bro take his whole collection to a trade deal if he's collecting them? Surely, you'd keep them safe and not take them along for the ride.
Me personally i aint bringing out my PC for not really anhthing nowadays..but if i do best believe im putting low jaxk on ir or any of my high end items. May get a safe in the futuee like Vault has. These cards are now pricey and people know. Good vid.
Very sad to see this happen. Yes ebay is expensive to sell on but the price of the fees I pay rather then rolling the dice on meeting strangers. Yes sad world we like in full of greed. Doesn't help that's pokemon cards are worth way more then they really should be worth if pokemon center would of just printed a lot more. Hopefully they catch the person involed. Thanks for the info bud!
Such losers man this type of stuff makes me so disappointed in society and the people who commit these crimes wonder why they have reputation they have.. smh. Being decked out in cameras with someone always with you is way to be now with card collecting especially on grand scales like that. Stay safe poke fam world getting crazier by the day. 🙏
People sucks. But this is a psa to get your cards graded bc if they’re in one touch they’re gone forever. Not sayin they can crack and regrade but usually criminals aren’t that clever
Bro if the guy was “meeting” whoever, it wasn’t the guy he was “meeting”?? Prolly told his homie ayo I’m “meeting” whoever but I need u to do something for me,….n bro u really think there bring all of em to resell or whatever?? Maybe ppl r dumb 😂,..

Me: Babe stop the car. Opossum Bud dropped AGAIN!
Babe: You’re the one driving
No touch zone. Keep your hands to yourself.

Hands off the merchandise!!!

real life pokemon heists before gta 6.... in shock the timeline we live in.

Correct lol, even if they cracked all of these and sold them raw they’re still walking away with thousands of dollars

the christmas tree looks so dope, love to see it!!

I’d love to have that collection, but not sure I’d risk jail time for that.
Oh yeah jail ain’t worth Umbreon
I live in oregon. Holy shit! What the fuck? Gun point? For pokemon cards? Sounds insane
Horrible situation 🙏
Hate it, good on ya for covering it as well homie 👍🏽
Appreciate it bro❤you as well👍
My buddies card shop just got robbed last night. Pokemon getting crazy now.
I mean if they gonna act like pokemon is gold, then you should treat pokemon like gold.
Not even by a police station? Wow
the last deal I did was a little on the higher end, I rolled up with my bullet proof vest on and my sidearm on my hip... said sorry, I just got off work. deal went smooth.
they were outside of a cardshop, it wasnt a meet up for a sale/deal
PSA gets to add a bunch of “new” moonbreons to their already inflated database now 👍
Going to just crack the slabs
Agreeed
Kiss those cards goodbye

The only way to move them would be to crack them, and sell them raw....and separately.
i'd bet my PSA 10 Moonbreon that they do reach out and try to sell them in the same slabs lol.
This is a shop right down the road from me. Crazy!
I hope they get all of them recovered. Read the story a few hours ago. Really sad.
“Hey man, those 10 Umbreon VMAX PSA 10’s in numerous languages just fell off a truck! No, I didn’t witness it, but I bought it off a buddy of mine”
This heist is more insane than the GTA heists
Hey Mr. Bud hope you enjoy your Holiday 🔥🔥
Hope you’re doing well too homie!
He’s just gonna break them open and sell them raw
To all the Portland ..Seattle heads.. careful out there.. alotta unsavory people out n about..
and far inbetween been keeping my eyes open in local fb posts
That’s tough, I’d be devastated
If only there were an Amendment that evens the odds... oh, wait.

I'm going to Cumbreon!

That's a newer Jeep Grand Cherokee. Not much, but hope this helps.
I’ve seen this posted on Facebook market place a month or so ago.

This was local to me its scary out in the streets. Be wary meeting randoms on the net guys.
😮
It’s a shame man 😕
I blame Bobert 😂😂😂
I didn't do it 😂😂😂 I promise 😂
Much love to the innocent victims hope ya get ur cards back! It’s wrong to steal !
Imagine just having a gun pulled on you over some dam Pokemon cards… what the hell is happening out here now
Pretty obvious risk, a PSA 10 English Umbreon VMAX card alone sells for over $2000.
It's Portland... Portland is a commie hellhole
1. they were in Portland
2. Selling expensive items
3.Most likely they are black.....................
@@panzer00 If it was commie then the cards wouldn’t be worth much. Just saying. Maybe lay off the lead water.
that is horrible. thieves will probably crack them to sell.

Don't give the loser any ideas, dude 🤦

when you try to save 15-25% in fees to sell in person. rip.
Does this look infected?

Honestly a sale that big you have to do it at a police station. Be safe everyone
Countless hours I’ve spent looking for specific languages for Boundaries crossed Bianca so I feel for this person 😢

Welcome to America baby!
Don't people insure those type of cards? and if they do could it also be an insurance scam
insured in an in person deal? No. Insured if shipping, yes that's an option.
@@Infamous159 ah okay thanks! i was just asking in general if people insure them kinda like a car or high value painting or something
Why are you not meeting INSIDE A BANK or something for a $10,000+ sale/purchase.
15min ago is actually stalking
btw imagine stealing pokemon cards at gun point fking pathetic.
Car park, no licence plates, insurance job ?
This is so saddening. Why cant we just trade our shiny cardboard in peace?! I hope they get these cards back ;-;
That’s crazy but not surprising…hope they get the cards back
Moonbreon is propably the most best card for dueling now i think
BRO U NEED TO HIRE BODY GUARDS NOW what the fuck! pokemon getting wild
The story doesn't add up to me.
Why did bro take his whole collection to a trade deal if he's collecting them?

Such a sad story, what a pathetic loser of a thief

He got fkt by someone in his circle. 😂
Solid collection tho
I try to meet inside of an established business or even a pokemon store. Dang gun point I quit. Fuck this shit it ain’t worth it
i heard onyx tcg was in on it
Finessed them boys merry Christmas and happy new year 🎆
The Pokemon Company should start serializing cards. You can't sell them to legit buyers.

this is relativelt local to me less then a hour
