The proper terms for what you call buck rivets are solid rivets and what you call Olympic rivets are blind rivets. Dude using an airhammer might be OK for what you're doing here, but in aviation we have to use rivet guns (like 3X or 4X Chicago pneumatic standards or Ingersoll Rand AVC12 or AVC13 standards)which have a more sensitive trigger to properly buck a rivet for structural applications. Use Clecos after removing the rivets. Helps to keep the holes lined up and everything in place, until rivets are applied.
Why are you drilling the rivets out like that?
Someone had put of bunch of the Olympic Rivets in trying to fix a leak I guess and I replaced them with factory Buck Rivets.
