      Hey, i discoverd your channel a few days ago, great work so far, i just started making my own multiversal watchorder. So my question is, do have seen Legion? I started today and i've already read that placing this Series is really hard. Most of the times it's placed in the 70's, but i don't so. I think it's more placed in modern times. In one Episode the Song "99 Luftballons" is mentioned and also the Word "Swag". What do you think of this?

    11:32 In regards to Ultinate Spiderman, I always assumed that it took place in the same universe as Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes, as it had the same actor.
    Also, here is a HUGE crazy thing I will mention. So IF Ultimate Spiderman is connected to EMH, that means the two shows are canon to the Phineas and Ferb Marvel special, meaning Milo's Murphy Law and the recent Hansel and Gretel show are also connected. But also, Ultimate Spiderman had a Halloween crossover with Jessie, which is a Disney channel sitcom. Most Disney Channel Sitcoms are connected to each other through crossovers, which alos means Girl Meets World is canon here. And if that's the case, then the other ABC TGIF shows like Boy Meets World, Full House, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Family Matters are canon. Sabrina being canon means the Archie verse is connected, and if Urkel is canon, we should also mention that it recently crossed over with Scooby Doo, which in turn has its own connections to the DC universe, and

    • @jayguero2123
      @jayguero2123 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EMH Spider-Man, according to Christopher Yost, was meant to be the version from Spectacular. Apparently they even recorded lines with Josh Keaton (Peter) and Daran Norris (J Jonah) for the episode “Along came a Spider” before being re-recorded at the 11th hour with the voice actors from Ultimate Spider-Man (Drake Bell, J.K Simmons). However, the main creative writer for Spectacular, Greg Weisman has stated he doesn’t consider it canon, so really it’s more of a head canon thing. And honestly, I don’t see the 2 Avengers featured in those continuities as one in the same. The line up and tone for their characterizations are too different to be considered the same people. Plus, not that it always matters when considering canonicity, but the Avengers in Assemble/Ultimate Spider-Man have a different voice cast than the one in EMH, save for the Hulk.

    I don't know what's crazier: The fact that so many Spider-Men are already canon through the Multiverse or the fact that there are some that still aren't. Really good analysis on this one, I didn't know Iron Man VR was canon to the Marvel's Spider-Man games, so that was a fun discovery. Also, you mentioned Spider-Ham: Caught in a Ham, but there's also another short they made (with John Mulaney voicing Spider-Ham) that was a promotion for Marvel Contest of Champions called "Spider-Ham: Back on the Air". I think it counts as well.
    I do gotta say, I don't think everything LEGO is canon to each other. Depending on the project; continuities, stories and voice actors change a lot. I mean, even in the LEGO Marvel games, Superheroes 2 is probably canon to Superheroes 1, but LEGO Marvel Avengers excluded any use of X-Men or Fantastic Four characters and instead focused on the current MCU, recreating the first two Avengers films. Also the shorts seem to connect to each other, but not the games, and lastly, the animation style in the LEGO Spider-Man from Across the Spider-Verse is very different for the ones they use in the games and shorts, since this one seems to be more stop-motion. This potentially means that there could even be multiple LEGO Spider-Men.

    • @robbyb3ll4s
      @robbyb3ll4s ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah honestly I gotta agree with you, but it also kinda feels like in the comics where different writers, artists come in and out. All of them are in the same universe according to the marvel database as of now but I could absolutely see changes and the shorts being in their own continuity. The Avengers game is definitely interesting though.

      I had no idea about that Spider-Ham video. What I find interesting is that it seems like he’s actually living just a regular earth (Venom and Mojo) and not an animal universe like normally. Though overall a great video.

    Well, I can certainly see how having seen all these Spidey things over the years would make one appreciate the Spider-Verse movies a lot more! Of these, I only ever saw the original 60's Spider-man cartoon (when it was syndicated), and the movies that came out since 2002. But... my very first exposure to Spider-man was one that nobody ever talks about -- the live-action shorts that were shown on The Electric Company in the 70's! Are you familiar with those? The production value is about what you'd expect of a kid's show in the 70's, but... it was there, and it was Spider-man!

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I loved Electric Company...as well as the Spidey Super Stories comics that went with it. We did give it a quick shout out during the “on-screen” media that has yet to appear section, but it wasn't much of a shout-out, to your point. Maybe I should do a video on that show sometime. I loved it as a kid. Great stuff! Anyway, thank so much for watching the vid and sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate it!

  • @lw1391
    @lw1391 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I didn't see it referenced on the video but there's also a possibility of Spider-Man from the electric company making an appearance, hopefully with accompanying narration from Morgan Freeman (because, yes, that did happen).

    To clarify, the 90s animated universe isn’t actually said all in one universe. There are 2 separate universities. One consists of Spider-Man & X-Men also, including the revival and the comics of X-Men, and the other one consistent Iron Man Hulk and fantastic four, and was supposed to also consist of a Captain America show that never got made.

    • @robbyb3ll4s

    Ultimate Spider-Man also crossed over with the Disney channel show Jesse, which opens up a while other can of crossovers.
    I will also mention that I think the Lego Spider-Man in Across The Spider-Verse is not the same one from the other Lego media you mentioned, since it has a different animation style. If anything, I'd assume it's supposed to represent a Spider-Man from the Lego Movie universe, which has the same brick film aesthetic, and was directed by Lord and Miller. That universe *does* connect with some of the other Lego Stuff via Lego Dimensions, but it's a few steps removed.
    On a similar note, I'm fairly certain that Lego Avengers: The Video Game is also not in the same universe with their other games and movies, since it's mostly an adaptation of the MCU.

    I think Vulture will form the sinister six with all the villain solo movies (Venom, Morbius, Kraven, El Murto, Hypno-Hustler, and of course Vulture. They will travel back to earth 199999 to fight Spider-Man in a future Spider-Man movie. I know some people say that wouldn't make sense because the characters are heroes in these movies, but all they know about Spider-Man is what Vulture tells them, and all Vulture needs to tell them is Spider-Man put him in a different dimension from his family.

      I do think Sony is working on a big team up movie...basically a Sinister Six type movie. So your idea is a definite possibility!

    I wouldn't count the LEGO Marvel stuff as being the same universe as what we saw in the movie. The Animation was made by a fan on TH-cam that was contacted to make a scene for the movie because of how well he recreated the trailers of the Spider-Verse movies (he spent his whole Spring Break creating the scene for Across the Spider-Verse), and it more or less emulates the same style that was used for the LEGO Movies from Warner Bros. which was always made to look like actual stop motion, not the animation style of official LEGO shows and games such as those Marvel movies and specials, Ninjago, City, Jurassic World specials, etc. As far as I'm concerned, that is its own universe totally separate from other LEGO universes. However at the same time, once somebody invokes a multiverse, I say that any and all incarnations of said characters are canonized, no matter the medium or if it's even officially sanctioned, so the Marvel stuff you listed absolutely counts, but it's just not the same LEGO universe.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That makes sense. I will say that alot of people feel the lego universes are all connected, but your logic is a good counterpoint to that argument. Great feedback!

    • @MCLegoboy
      @MCLegoboy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AbitofEverything4U Yeah when it comes to LEGO, a lot of things are in a shared universe, but not always together. A good example would be the Ninjago series having 16 realms, one of which being Chima (a 2013-2016 theme), and then there was also a character added in from a direct to home video called Clutch Powers, and that's about as expansive as it gets, although there will always be easter eggs to other things in LEGO's past. Even though I haven't watched those LEGO Marvel things, I would be surprised if they don't reference one another, and I saw one of the latest ones even included Hero Factory of all things from The Collector's collection, which is wild. LEGO Star Wars had a very loose one that's slowly kind of become its own thing kind of starting with the Yoda Chronicles into New Yoda Chronicles into Droids Tales and Freemaker Adventures, All-Stars, and the recent holiday specials for Disney+, and I know there are other's I've forgotten. The LEGO Movies are their own thing with the Ninjago Movie kind of being its own universe since it's a different kid, and I think Unikitty's series technically counts as a spinoff from the other three since we do see her home in LEGO Movie 2 for a few very brief seconds. LEGO often plays more with easter eggs than anything else. A poster or shirt with the name Galidor will be on something, references to Bionicle, Rock Raiders, Power Miners, Aquazone, AquaRaiders, Atlantis, Znap, Blacktron, M-Tron, Futuron, Insectoids, Ice Planet 2002, Life on Mars, Mars Mission, Space Police, Alien Conquest, and so when you see all of these things, you can start to theory craft a way everything is interconnected, especially the space stuff, if not even as just a connected universe within some other property's universe.

    A few things I want to add to the conversation:
    With the 67 Spider-Man and spider woman cartoon from my own research I believe there’s a tie with the kingpin. I haven’t actually seen either show but I do remember there being an episode titled the return of kingpin which seems like he’s returning from the Spider-Man show.
    Personally I consider Spider-Man unlimited to be a part of the rest of the 90s cartoon universe but I understand why some don’t. Either way silver surfer gets his own show that spins off of fantastic four of that universe and avengers United they stand has flashbacks which seemingly places it in the same universe as well. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on these
    I’m surprised that you didn’t bring up the canceled raimi Spider-Man crossover with the xmen or at least Spider-Man the new animated series as seemingly a branch off that universe that also connects it to Ben afflecks daredevil and the Elektra movie, which is seemingly going to be important for Deadpool 3. Editing this before commenting because I wanna make sure I’m accurate. I did get to the end where you mention it, but in my opinion it’s a branch off of raimis Spider-Man so it’s canon along with the daredevil and Elektra movies. I’m curious if you think the same.
    Crazy that Iron Man VR is in the same universe as ps4 Spider-Man I had no idea. Thanks for the info
    Also spectacular Spider-Man as well as Wolverine and the X-Men, avengers earths mightiest heroes, and some consider the fantastic four worlds greatest heroes to be a part of that universe as well as the films, hulk vs (hulk vs Wolverine and hulk vs thor), thor tales of Asgard, doctor strange (sometimes with the subtitle the sorcerer supreme) and planet hulk movie to all be a part of that universe as the “yostverse” it’s arguable as to if some of these are canon but I’d say at the very least earths mightiest heroes and wolverine and the xmen is canon.
    Also independently of the video I’m curious why you have things like the original captain America movie on there even though as far as I’m aware it’s not referenced in the mcu or it’s multiverse so far, same goes for blade and many others. It seems like it’s just a list of everything marvel but personally I feel like a list of just what’s been connected is much better.
    And I’d love to see the same thing done with DC. I know you don’t make as many videos on that but things like Batman the brave and the bold had some cool multiverse stuff, as did teen titans go vs teen titans. I’d love to see a video on how all that connects and get some more dc content on the channel.

      This is gonna be in a couple replies so first of: I had Avengers They Stand United and Silver Surfer there at the beginning. I decided to exclude them since TSU had almost no connections as far as I could find but if you do find flashbacks that’d be interesting. Cap was only in one episode. Silver Surfer can not fit into the 90s universe because of a multiple of continuity errors. I really wish it fit but doesn’t sadly.

    • @robbyb3ll4s
      @robbyb3ll4s ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking about including the Yostverse but decided against it due to different art style, Peter looking different and Josh not voicing him BUT I have changed my mind and it feels pretty clear that it was meant to be canon and the whole universe will be added to sheet including the movies that are connected.

    • @robbyb3ll4s
      @robbyb3ll4s ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Raimi part of the video was already pretty big but the Wolverine and The Punisher 2004 connections are definitely interesting. Also that Wolverine connection would’ve meant the Raimi Spidey world is over cause it’s the original X-Men timeline. I do really love that Spider-Man new animated series kingpin connection but it was on screen media that didn’t even appeared in Across, we did though say that it was sequel to the Raimi Spider-Man 1 at the end of the video.

    To explain 2017 Spider-Man, I Believe in Avengers Assemble they did their own Secret Wars events, and that caused a soft reboot for both Avengers and Guardians but also gave us the new Spider-Man 2017 separate from Ultimate Spider-Man. Confusing I know 😅

      Yeah I was trying to explain it to Joof but it was just so too confusing so we felt we had to cut it from the video! I even made a graphic for it but realized really early on we wouldn’t include it.

      Only the 5th season of Avengers, it’s a completely different show basically with Black Panther is canon but then for Guardians of the Galaxy according to a writer for the show…. the first 2 seasons are still canon to the new continuity but I guess Ultimate Spider-Man just didn’t appear? I don’t know it’s pretty dumb I’m not going to lie.
