Thanks! Per the service manual the bolts are one time use. Also, these types of bolts are torque-to-yield which basically means they are stretched to their max capacity. If reused over and over they run the risk of breaking. Luckily they are not very expensive 😆
Just got mine does and the dealer today paid $700 I have a 2011 e63 I wish I seen this before ! 😡😡 beautiful car .. I have 80,000 miles owned it for about 4 years or so .. amazing car.. one issue I have had is sometimes when I go Up a hill in comfort mode it jerks a lot as the car is stuck for a second or jumpy .. in sport + it usually doesn’t do it as much .. I’ve had it serviced many times throughout different Mercedes’ dealerships but nobody really has been able to figure it out .. everytime I get the car back it shows no issues .. that I’m not sure about still .. after wheel and alignment it’s been doing it a lot less
Yeah, I love the W212 E63. I am not sure what that could be. It might be a computer issue. Something (computer wise) might be out of sync between engine, throttle and transmission.
Why no links to the tools/parts used? Where did get the pump used to refill the trans? Also why didn't you drain the torque converter? It still has a lot of the old fluid in it, not to mention the trans cooler.
Great video, going to be doing this on my car ASAP. Does your car ever have rough shifting in the lower gears? Mainly when shiftin up between 1 and 3 and downshifting between 3 and 1?
So I have experienced rough shifting when I am at partial throttle while under load. So for example, going up a hill at partial throttle. Also, I had issues shifting down to first gear while in S or S+ modes. Problem came from a (small) cracked in valve cover. After repair and clearing codes via ODB it fixed issue.
i'm a tech and this was a good video explaining and showing steps
Thanks man! 🤝
Great DIY video. Thanks for making it available. Any reason why the original pan bolts need to be replaced with new ones?

Yup! Torque to yield. Just had my 2019 E63 transmission serviced today at the dealership and they told me the same thing. Great vid by the way 👍
i might do my own trans service on my s63...thanks

I got an 2014 e63s facelift but the v8 biturbo and awd I wonder if it's the same process🤔
Hmm...that’s a good question.
so that's total 6 liters for cars with no torque converters?
How do I check the level to see if I need to add more or so..
2:04 dimensions of the hose how you got it to fit on the sprayer?
What's the normal coolant temp and engine oil temp for the 2011 e63 amg?
My engine oil hovers between 197-206°F and coolant around 201°F. Engine oil tends to vary based on how spirited I’m driving 👍🏽

Thanks, i will look into that possibility. Also, do you still have the factory stereo in your vehicle?
@@tonyp5748 Cool. Yes, I do. I think it is good enough for me
So this works with the w211 models with the 7 speed
I can't confirm, however, I have the 722.930 AMG SpeedShift MCT. I am not sure if W211 had the MCT 7-speed auto trans.
Where are you filling the transmission?
From the transmission drain port on the transmission pan. Same place the drain bolt goes.
Whats the mileage when you changed
Around 90k+
those underpanels come off in 2 seconds with a gun. you should use your cordless drill
I know right! I’m not sure why didn’t use my cordless...🤔. I think I didn’t have the adapters for my sockets yet
