I was measured by a 'bra specialist' at M&S who told me that the underwire doesn't need to sit flush with the breast bone, result was that I bought the bras but went back the next day with one of the new bras on and told her in front of a busy changing room that I was unhappy because the bra was a very bad fit, if I wanted my boobs to look like one long boob I would have bought bras without the underwire. She was still adamant that underwire doesn't need to be on the breast bone, I was so agitated and struggling to keep myself from going into a complete meltdown so I just had to say to her that her way sucked big time and I wanted the underwire where it should be. I walked out of there with 3 good fitting bras 😊
It's so hard to get a good bra these days. If you or anyone has recommendations I'm a 38C lady that needs ideas. I'm 54, in the 80s until even 2013 I could find decent fitting bras even at Walmart. Is Victoria's Secret style a good alternative? I'd orefer a more affordable option, but our bras are the foundation of our wardrobe. Your advice is exactly how I was taught bras should fit, but even Playtex didn't fit good anymore. Bras are made so cheaply these days.
If you bend forward, the centerpiece of the wire should still be sitting against your sternum. If there’s space between the centerpiece and your sternum, the band size might be too big or too loose.
What to do if my cup is okay except that the breast tissue goes farther to the armpit? Do I buy bra with bigger cup size to fit all the breast tissue is enclosed but then my cup is overall bit lose in front?
How far into the middle should the edge of the cups rest? I find most to be very uncomfortable when they are across breast around half, would rather 75% or more but not sure if its ok
The cup suits me well but i feel it's tight on my back and if i get bigger size the cup will be big, should i change the cup not the number of the bra?
Could you give advice for finding bras for people with a wide rib cage according to measurements, I’m supposed to be a 38c but the cup sits on my breast tissue and the band is way too big.. previously I wore a 34c that fit the best for a while but my boobs have gotten bigger & I gained a bit of weight all around & is why i’m looking for an updated bra unfortunately I had to settle for a 36d (I had a hard time finding one that doesn’t sit on my breast tissue) which my boobs fit inside better but it’s too big on the top and the band fits big, my boobs definitely don’t feel supported, I got this size after I tried it on & it fit well at first I did buy it when I was on my period
@@DrLizORiordan is there a specific store you recommend? Or do you think maybe at a small business bra store could help me better? I’ve been fitted in the past at multiple general stores when I had even less & would get measured into either too big or too little sizes, bc of how my rib cage sits, & the ladies try but never can find anything just right
I have this same issue. Same size and everything. I’ve sized my bras 3 different times. I even made my fiancé measure me after we watched several different videos on the correct way to measure. I cannot stand shopping for bras. I will buy a couple of bras from a brand I think is great. The cups fit pretty good and the band feels great. Then I will get brave and order 4 new ones from that same brand and spend a good 4 months sending them back and ordering more. Then I will change the brand and go through the same ordeal all over again. I’ve tried a 36D as well but have the same issue. Even with the 38C sometimes I find the top is way too loose even though the cup and band fit perfectly. I get so self conscious about bra shopping.
@@southernladyish Yes exactly! I feel seen! 😭 I was recommended a Balconette bra but my nipples slip out easily so I don’t like the style at the moment I’m wearing full coverage sports bras.. I’m working out now hoping to lose enough to find a bra that fits, bc my boobs are definitely getting heavier, & I want to feel confident again
Wires dig into my armpits tho, so, nah. The more boob you have, the more things there are to consider, not just technical fit. Comfort is everything. Also not all boobs are the same shape, and so, bras may not fit for that reason as well. My middle bit of my bra never rests against my chest, regardless of the size of bra, unless i get one that is obviously way too big and i can fit a wholw half a boob more in the cup. Things just arent the same for different sized and shaped people. 👍
I feel like in my near mid 20s I’m going through puberty again with the changes of adulthood😭adjusting to my weight. I hate most stores don’t let you go in the fitting room anymore. I went to Burlington and hate I may have to go back and try to get another bra. 🫠
I'm not sure why TH-cam recommended this to me; I have no need for this advice, but I love your glasses!
She's cute.
I couldn’t even listen just was so focused on your glasses. 😍😍😍
I have to thank you for this tip its really useful 😊
My pleasure 😊
Store a cell phone on breast and near heart. Surly, you didn’t mean that’s a good idea?
Wow! I found this extremely helpful. Thank you so much for making this!!!
Glad it was helpful!
None of my bras ever vits me 😭😭
The band is to lose and the cups are small
That means you are wearing the wrong size
Same here
Hi, thanks for this formation. I love those glasses!

That’s awful!
You are proud for having an unreasonable hissy fit. Well done.😂
Thank you!!! This is so helpful!!
Thankyou I've never been good at that . Time for new bras now to looks like .
Thank you for this ❤and even can you show how to measure our chest size and according to that size how to purchase right bras pls
I brought my 1st bra today and thank you i understood the concept of hooks😊

What a unique glasses were dis you get them i love them? And your info is valuable thank you
So if the center piece is off the skin, is my bra too big or small?
Oh wow I never knew this thank you ❤
you're welcome x
Thankyou. I wish you could elaborate on the first one.
If you bend forward, the centerpiece of the wire should still be sitting against your sternum. If there’s space between the centerpiece and your sternum, the band size might be too big or too loose.
Thanks for the tips!
No problem!

Thank you!
But my bra is just like a shirt put it though head and adjust it done how do i check thattt
Not sure!
The cup suits me well but i feel it's tight on my back and if i get bigger size the cup will be big, should i change the cup not the number of the bra?
Go up a letter size. Cups will stay the same
i love you!
you helped me a lot thxxx🤍🤍🤍

It sounds like you need to get measured properly again and try a few different brands

500 grams = 1.102 pounds (in case anyone's wondering).
If the band isn’t flush with the skin is it too big or small etc
too big
Please reply
I use 36C bra but my bra comes down after few hours, exposing my breasts
Should I got one band size down or one cup up?
You need to be properly measured - both may need adjusting

What does flush means? English is not my first language 😅
it means suddenly feeling very hot and sweaty - and only lasts for a few seconds. It happens at the menopause
@@DrLizORiordan ooh…thank you for the explanation
@lissazarina in the context of the video she means "close to"
Why my bra rides up from the back?
Because it is too big for you. You need a smaller size
Should or shouldn't store phone in bra? Lol😂
Mobile phones don’t cause breast cancer.
i am a 34C and i’ve never had a bra with a centerpiece flush against my skin. yet any bra that fits me has never had that
it might be worth trying different brands as some have wide and some have narrow centrepieces
Very usefull thanks from india JULIYANA D cruz
God I thought this was Katie Holmes
Did you think I was Katie Holmes? 😜

Has anyone ever made it to the last row of hooks without losing weight?
Im 46 and i didn't know this
what difference needs tp be made when the middle peace doesnt sit against your breastbones?
Trying a different brand or a smaller back size and a larger cup size maybe?
NO ES LA TIA ROSITA 😂😂😂😂
Number 1 - You are actually female.
Fair point
Breasts to the arm pit??? That's ridiculous!
Ladies - please don't carry your cell phones in your bra or pockets next to your skin!
There is no evidence that mobile phones cause breast cancerb
