RC4WD has released the C2X, a familiar looking truck, that despite looking like you have seen it before is developed from the ground up to provide a solid base for a Class 2 Competition truck, or of course a high end trail truck. Ready to run means just that, ready to run. Apart from shock oil it is all there. Battery, charger, whether you are going to use them or immediately change it out, they are provided to complete this offering.
I think the C2X is a striking looking truck. The components used seem to be of very high quality, and whether this truck can hold its own out in a more competitive setting remains to be seen. Fact is though, no truck is perfect right out of the box. But the C2X does provide a lot of key ingredients to start brewing something that could end up going far in a competition.

Still the only RC channel that I watch every time a new video is posted! As for the C2X it needs a cage added to that rear bed, don’t get rid of the bed just add a cage and it will be a debit card swipe for me 😁🤣 👍👍

Haven’t seen you sticker a truck since the SCX10 Honcho, looking forward to the turn out! Great overview as always.
It comes with a very complete sticker sheet, stripes, windshield header decal, decals that go over the top of the Delrin bed to make it look (sorta) like metal, loads more...
Could also use scale aluminum diamond plate sheet to cover the Delrin, or wood-grain decals cut in strips. It'll be entertaining, to see Hemistorm get down & dirty with decals.

We even have some trucks we run with NIMH at home - it works better than expected ! All others are 4S ;)

Twister servo is listed as having these specs:
Speed: 0.14sec/60°(@7.2V)
Torque: 305.3oz·in / 22kg·cm(@7.2V)
Operating Voltage: 4.8-7.4V
Aluminum center case, waterproof - better specs than any RTR servo I have seen on a 1/10th crawler.
(But the gears are brass, so an upgrade would be good after they wear out!)

@Rc Guru im poor most of the time then currently yes i could afford a new rc but im literally about to wast money on meaningless stuff but the mark up on decent rc shit in new New Zealand is sad like a new scx10 for example i at least the average persons weekly pay check and were im fron renting a house like $350-$400 for a shitty 1 (i actually brought mine thow) then food is ridiculously expensive as is every thing else i think thats why the hobbies never taking off here no 1 can afford it the larger cities have the occasional rc club but few and far between
LOL....my batteries are NiMH and even a NiCAD with Tamiya plugs like I'm stuck in 1999. Hope you paint that rig up, been wanting to see you work your magic on a hard body.

I had major issues with the metal d44s. so many design flaws but so much that made them seem like a good idea.. I'd hope the plastic versions are better. the gears were good though.... shafts all that was a good design, it was the weird axle tubes..they had zero thread holding the c hubs on...so when they stripped after 2 runs you had to get new axle tubes but they discontinued that part lol so hard to fix them if you can't get spares. anyway I'm always a fan of a 4 door hilux I'm sure it's not a bad rig.

Think i’d ditch the tub and weld up a truggystyle rollbar...buuut there’s alot of pending projects on my shelfs i should finish before blowing monney on a new rig😅 great video, always a hoot to watch👌🏼😀

I learned to solder and eliminate Tamiya plugs in 84.... Even stock 380 motors melted them then

Thanks for the Review Hemi :) Does the ESC on this C2X take 3 cell Lipo Batteries or do You need to replace the ESC ?
It takes a 3S from what I've been able to see, but most likely it is one of the first parts to be replaced.

Sweet rig Chris !! I bought a TF2 RTR about 3-4 years ago the one I got was in bad bad shape lol everything was loose or stripped and my front suspension was detached and the battery tray was bent and I ran it quickly on my carpet and the from wheels fell off at the hubs the tiny screws they hold it in were stripped too but anyhow I was wondering about your shirt lol and why ur not filming inside your shop Take care stay healthy .....

I would leave it as it comes! I use stickers because I am Not a good painter. I hate them though.

I've had a Trailfinder and a Beast 2 and the quality of the metal was junk. They broke so many times I will never buy another RC4WD product. Lets hope they have

Stickers man not like you at all lol But I will be the first ass to say I really think the rig fell kinda short. The frame rails are new yes but not to far off from the D90 and D110 chassis with a high center skid on it. Body we have seen before nothing new but the interior is a nice add on. The bed is really kinda hideous especially if you compare it to there RC4WD aftermarket options. Yes it's supposed to be Class 2 ready rig so a small less details bed would save weight but so would not including a full interior. Tires and wheels are not ever going to be anybody's favorite so we'll pass over those but the main gripe I have with the rig is the axles. Yes they can handle some abuse because of the scx10 background but again some something that not new. They could had took more time and made and decided in a new body, they could made a little more detailed bed but maybe made it out of lexan to keep the weight down and they could had made a more modern axles that uses the same scx10ii internals that are just reliable as the first gen. All these things are the reasons why a lot of people say it looks like a spare parts build and I know you've probably already heard all of them but that's also my opinion as well and would love to hear back what you have to say.
