These videos are super useful. Good living is a lot easier when you have good examples.

How old where you when you got married? I think we got married at similar ages. I got married at 25 and now 35. I felt like I gave up at 25 and thought oh well I guess I'm not getting married and then I got married quickly after that! I ended up marrying a man that had great character but I had always thought of as a brother! The moment my heart finally opened to him I realized he wasn't just a brother. Sometimes you have to change your glasses and perspective.

My sister, it is never too late to learn and do things differently. Commit yourself to God and allow Him to mold you day by day. Look for friends who are also on the same journey. I'll be praying for you! 🙏🏼

Want to encourage you its not too late. Didnt meet my husband till I was 32 and married at 33. We have 3 kids so far and I work for him from our home and care for and school our littles. God is good and his timing was perfect for us.

P.s. i was not living in my fathers house (nor would I if I had the chance to do it again due to the nature of the circumstances) in this broken world we sometimes have to do the best with where we are and the hand weve been dealt. God sees us and is sovereign over our circumstances and I know he used where I was as a single gal living alone in others lives and to prepare me for the ministry and life our family has together now. Dont be discouraged. The Lord works all things together for good and nothing is wasted.

I absolutely adore you both so so, so much. God bless you both. Thank you for your obedience to the Lord and for your sincere heart posture toward Him. You both make me laugh, make me smile immediately, and always fill me with His presence and His perfect peace. I always look forward to your videos and light up instantly when I see you have posted. I am praying you both would be filled with the Lord's presence and that His presence would consume you completely. I pray that you both would continue to seek Him above all else, and that He would direct your steps. So thankful for all Jesus is doing in your lives, and you are so deeply loved by Him. My name is Amber, I am 25 in upstate NY. Jesus has completely transformed my life in so many ways and has redeemed a broken childhood, adoption dysfunction, homelessness,, etc. God is SO real.. and He is as alive as you both are to me. Praise the Lord for the way He loves us.
I am asking for prayer from you both if you are willing. I am waiting on the Lord for a partner. I am turning 26 in a few months. I am seeking Him in all my ways and I am putting Him first in my life, and I have had bad luck romantically. I do believe the Lord has me in this waiting to teach me patience and to grow me in Him which I am thankful for but there are times when living alone feels incredibly depressing. Jesus is more than enough for me, this I know and believe, but I long for a godly man to partner with to praise the Lord with and grow His kingdom.
I have used dating sites previously, a handful of times on and off and each time the Lord showed me a huge NO. He let me know in many ways He does not want me to use dating sites. I have horror stories from dating sites hahah praise the Lord he kept me safe. Anyways, I have given this to the Lord and I am praying He will direct my steps and in doing so lead me and a godly man together. Only He knows if I am being called to singleness or if He has a man in His will for me.
I trust that the Lord knows best through I am deeply struggling in this desire at the same time.
I do attend church and i am active and involved and there has been no romantic potential.
I know I need to continue to press into Jesus through this.. but the desire is incredibly strong.

I have been brought up in a very left wing non religious home, plus my mother was a single mother, so I very much was taught to be tough and independent. But it never sat right with me. Didn't make me happy really. I got saved two years ago (praise the Lord!). Hearing you guys talk about the woman's role as a helpmeet, and in a positive way (in my home that type of woman was always looked down upon), I feel like something relaxes deep down inside of me. Like: yes, that is what I would like to do!

Some great points here! A few months ago I really felt that my church (very small, local) should start having women's meetings so that the younger women could learn about living a life of faith from the older ones. The men could have theirs, too. It's yet to be put into place, but this video has given me the nudge to really pursue it. I also addressed the lack of specific and topical teaching (dating, practical Christian living, etc), so we'll have more of that going forward, God-willing.
I desire to be married and have taken some good advice from what you've said. (Watched a few videos so not sure if this is the one it was mentioned in, but) for practical and personal reasons, my hair is kept short. I've thought about how I can elevate my femininity with short hair, and realise that I can use accessories and other things. Then again, my future husband may see my short hair as part of my specific beauty! Anyway, really enjoying listening to you both and believe there's a lot of wisdom here. God bless you!

Guys, I am already being helpful, cheerful and cultivating beauty and health. But I still haven't gotten a single date even though I am kind and sweet by nature. I am 22 years old and I have never been on a date with a man. I do not feel the call to be a nun but the sign that God continues to send is to remain single and independent although I would love to share my life with my future husband and my body is exhausted from working more than my hormones can handle to be able to provide for myself. All my friends know my deepest desire is to get married. Any advice will be appreciated ❤️🤗

I like how you distinguish between the spiritual and practical manifest of Christianity. Many denominations take either to the extreme by totally neglecting the other.

Where can I find a wife who wants to live out biblical gender roles? What church are y’all at? Are there single women like this at your church?

    • @SimplyJeannie

Pray and ask the LoRd to lead you to a God Honouring place of worship and pray if He so will you to be married that He will bring a God fearing future spouse into your life..
And in between then ask Him to refine in you all that you need to be in order to be a good future spouse..

Try a presbyterian church (OPC or PCA) or a CREC church in your area. That's usually going to be a more clear church that is actively teaching correct gender roles. Some reformed baptist churches might. But be discerning.

I have always been naturally feminine but was told my entire life I have to become more masculine otherwise I was worth nothing. Even now that I have been with God, I am told to be more masculine-to not need a man-provide for myself-to not idealise marriage or having children! All I ever wanted was to be a housewife and have several children. I am a natural helper and my values lie entirely in nurturing and loving-children and people. I draw pleasure out of being there for people and providing a peaceful and prosperous home. Unfortunately, I have been told that I am less than because of it my entire life, even in the christian world. I was told I am idealising something other than God and that I am running away from God and my "calling", which is to be a speaker and in the spot-light! I would be the happiest person to just be there for my family and NOT in the spotilght at all. I do not need the admiration of the world.
