I have two favorite British rock guitarists. One is Mick Taylor and the other is Clem Clempson.
Clem one of the greatest Rock Blues Jazz guitar player.
Cozy and Max was a big part of the Jeff Beck group. This tune has that Vibe.
Clem is a tasteful player.
And I thought Gary Moore's version was sublime. Great to have such close up shots capturing Clem's technique.
Played for a long time with Jack Bruce was quarter of one of greatest super groups of all time JB & Friends along with Billy Cobhan and David Sanchious
Jack Bruce the best bass player ever
After Sid Vicious.
Every musician is giving his very best and I am sure all of them did This is fantastic composition in a chromatic modulation which sounds far beyond.
Es gibt nicht so etwas wie den oder die Beste/n!
Und ja, Jack war großartig - am Bass, am Piano, als Sänger, am Cello, ...
James Jamerson!
Your favourite bass player. 👍
Cozy Powell, the god of thunder!! Forget about Bonham, Cozy is where it's at!!
Just hearing Cozy's playing here. He's nailed down the timing and groove and pushing the band well. Great drumming, pretty jazz rock, hardly get this style these days unless you've got that drumming soul.. Great sound ✨🙌🏼
I liked Clem in Colosseum and Humble Pie. Nice to hear him in this killer fusion lineup!
Excellent playing from all. Great job
Wow, nice band Cozy assembled, cool to see him with Max Middleton again.
Cozy!!!! Yeah!!!
The Old Grey Whistle Test, what a truly classic show. It's equally truly damning that today, we don't have shows like this anymore. Of course it doesn't help that no bands like this exist today. Instead, all we do have is 100% autotuned, mimed excrement. 100% fake.
there’s a lot of really good bands out there. they just don’t get mainstream exposure.
I don’t know if you realise this but what your saying is so incredibly played out and old and untrue, there are loads of fantastic bands that make fantastic music inspired by all the classic bands, who legitimately play live and make great records, the difference these days is you might have to look a little harder for them, but they’re still out there just not quite as mainstream
@@newflavaz1583 Yes, there are live bands, but what I mean is that the only thing being pushed out (radio/record companies/tv/media etc) to the public is audio excrement. This is what the youth are being indoctrinated on, unfortunately.
@@ChrisM541 well you’re probably right about that but you said that there are no bands like this that exist today
We do have Jools Holland, who promotes new and exciting artists with immense talent.
Que banda maravilhosa!
Simply fantastic... a masterpiece !
I'll take Jamerson and Jaco.
Beautiful musicians making beautiful music
Great song.
Clem Clempson!
That Les Paul sounds great.
I think it's the same he had with COLOSSEUM
Fantástic
This is Music
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
泣けます🎉
Cozy, thanks for being with Jeff! Saw you in 72" with Jeff at Carniege Hall. Cat Moves' great intro from Jeff! I play it all the time on a Strat!
Fantastic, oh man just awesome fantastic ❤
Cozy 😍4evr
Such an amazing piece of guitar playing 😍
😍😍😍
Gary Moore also does this song, but I like this version by Clem Clemson. Rest in Peace for Cozy & Jack🙏
Check Roy's Buchanan..🔥🎸💯
And Jeff Beck.
Also for Gary R I P
Can't wait!!👍🏻👍🏻
Música de muy alta calidad, la que nos dejó Mr Jackson Bruce.
Jack, without son 😊
Every musician is giving his very best and I am sure all of them did This is fantastic composition in a chromatic modulation which sounds far beyond.
Nice of the director to totally exclude shots of Don during his keyboard solo.
Max Middleton actually played the Mini Moog solo - Airey is only accompanying on Solina strings here.
. @christianloebi I stand corrected; Nice of the director to totally exclude shots of Max during his keyboard solo
@@steveb9151 My thoughts exactly. It‘s a great solo.
@@christianloebi It's the mighty Yamaha CS-80 actually!
Yes I was disappointed we missed Max’s solo.
What a great band, it's like a mash up of the Jeff Beck group and Jack Bruce and Friends. Killer. Did they record an album? I never heard of this particular group working together
Cozy beat his Drums like they owed him Money .............
благодарю за отличное исполнение.
Sounds fine.
I close my eyes an hear Gary Moore?
It’s increadible all these yrs later in 2024??❤❤❤👍👍🙏🙏🪬🪬💎💎🇬🇧🇬🇧🥃🥃
This shows how important to muzic an prog Drums Cozy realy was.
Bless him.
Definitely a bit of a Lizzy vibe about parts of this.
And the tune itself is very derivative of Focus.
According to the album this track is dedicated to Jeff Beck.
🥰🥰🥰
Clem sounding a big bit like J Beck there , but doing it rather well . 👍😎 x
It sounds like the kind of tune that Beck would do. And the Moog sounds like Jan Hammer.
You heard this type of quality on bbc radio one with presenters like Tommy Vance years ago when radio one was worth tuning into now it's not as it's rap crap which requires zero talent
I thought Gary More composed this song in 1987, Im clearly wrong , how is the composer of this song?
Clem Clempson as guitarist comes behind no-one
can hear where Parisian Walkways intro came from, and Gary Moores style in a big way, no offence meant but he and Mr Lynnot must have seen this, (maybe in separate lives at the time?) and felt it in a big way
PW is essentially derived from the jazz standard Blue Bossa.
Jeff Beck
☝️😎
lol I thought Cozy was Jeff Beck at the beginning 🤣
Just my opinion: Clempson was better than Frampton in Pie.
Shame the cameras ignored the keyboard playing
So glad Gary Moore did this later his version is so much better than the original.
Sounds like Focus
Nice to see what Clem looks like without the make up
Are you perhaps thinking of Zal Cleminson, of the SAHB, wearing the make up?
Yes, confusion with Zal, certainly
Cozy is the most “dramatic” of the legendary 60s Brit drummers, yeah, Moonie was very expressive but he was clowning a lot.
Cozy is dead serious with every two handed cymbal blast he unloads!
Gary Moore version is superior
No.
Yes, Gary Moore performed it at a higher level.
