Bruce Leroy is eating popcorn with chopsticks. I have to try that. 😂
Me too.. you see, Leroy Green (aka "Bruce Leroy") is a Bruce Lee fan who eats popcorn with chopsticks.. he's also a martial arts masters who refuses to fight. His friends thinks he's too serious.. his family thinks he's crazy.. and his enemies thinks he's no challenge.
Two things I always loved about this scene:
1. The fact that so many people in this theater know kung fu
2. Sho Nuff being the most extra villain of all time and ripping that dude's hair out for no reason
Also, I never realized how small the red tank top was on the dude in the crowd lol

Yes the 70s and 80s obsession with martial arts was phenomenal and proceeded even during the early 90s I remember my father urged me to take martial arts lessons which back then to him were as important as the need to finish school
And no one CALLED THE COPS when that would've put an end to this reign of terror

Dressed in various urbanized samurai costumes, Sho'Nuff (aka "The Shogun of Harlem") (Julius J. Carry, III) travels in a van when he isn't maintaining his hideout, an old warehouse which he has converted to a dojo. During his colorful exploits, he is aided by a posse of fellow "urbanized samurai' (street thugs)...six of whom - Cyclone, Crunch,the Beast and their nameless girlfriends - keep by his side at all times. Sho'Nuff spends most of his time challenging random people to fights, taunting young "Bruce" Leroy Green (Taimak) to a martial arts showdown throughout the movie.

I like the jumping side push kick that this guy did at 3:51. Michael Jai White does his famous jumping feint side push kick. Ernie Reyes Jr does one too in this movie, but he also uses his other leg to kick the 2nd opponent.

@@CodyCole80 Michael Jai White appeared in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze as a potential Foot Clan recruit, but I think he had an uncredited role in the movie.

@@CodyCole80 No is just that I saw Ernie Reyes Jr do a jumping feint double kick to 2 opponents and actually kicked both of them. It's just that Michael Jai White popularized this in his own movies.
