Totally, check out channel The Salal Center or Google #SalalLife. I'll put a video up and there is other spearfishing videos with more of the buoy. Are you local to the Central coast?
Some of those sinkers might be mine haha! Thats a really great area. I have fished hook and line there but I look forward to getting in the water on a flat day.
Angela, thanks for kind words. That was a VERY rare day, sun and good vis. I've had good vis days at the jetty too - it's just so dependent on the conditions. Are you local? That was my buddies first ling BTW.
@@brianquinnholowati3859 I went to Newport yesterday. Limited out on seabass. Got some giants. It's a lot easier than I thought. You just gotta pull the trigger
Hey man. Been fishing over there a lot and from Coos bay. Wanna get in touch with someone with experience to bounce ideas off of. Is there another way to reach you

Nice video.
I'm trying to learn how to freedive spearfish on the central OR coast, would love to see the setup of your bouy

Gentleman great video. This brings back good memories. I didn’t realize you could get this kind of visibility on the Oregon coast.
Thanks Nick. It's a rare day when we do get good viz, but it makes those days even more memorable. More videos to come.
there is just something about uncut spear fishing footage

Great video and congrats on the nice ling! Good looking vis, is it normally better there vs the jetty? Looks really calm water too

now you need to go to s.e.alaska and go big fish hunting and dive with the killer whales and giant octopus that live around the islands
Sounds like a fun trip!
