Complaining about the shield plus that you shot for this video not being cut for an optic when there is optic cut versions and not shooting it with the 13 round or 15 round factory mag when youre shooting the glocks with shield mags 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
My main gripe with this video is that whenever it comes up to Smith and Wesson, they are using the earlier models like with the hinge triggers and/or lesser magazine sizes. They are not giving Smith and Wesson a real chance. The Shield Plus comes in factory with a better trigger and a 13 or 15 magazine size. There is a cutout for an optical sight as well. Don't forget about the 3.6 barrel MP 2.0 as well.
Just to note that the shield plus comes with a 10 - 13 round mag and the Smith Equilizer 15 round can also be used with the shield plus. I usually use the 13 round mag with it. Make sure you guy are presenting the full facts about these micros.
Why would you guys test the LC9 S and not the Max9, which is Rugers actual Micro 9 entry? Also, you didn't mention the G2C, which is arguably a better gun than the G3C (and you didn't mention the fact that the G2/3C is actually SA/DA, which is the reason for the trigger.
HK P30SK, I have owned or shot many of the firearms or variations/types you show. This spring I picked up a P30SK LEM (what you all had for this video), I had to put about 500 rounds through it to learn the LEM trigger, now it is my favorite shooting/carry pistol ever. Picked up two 17 rd mags, I have about 1500 rounds throught it now, no fails. You all should have a reliablitiy measure in your assesment not price.
A gun they didn’t mention was the Kimber R7 Mako, 13,15 round mags The mako is a gun everyone can shoot well. I want one for summer carry and my hellcat pro will be my fall and winter gun.
Shield plus comes with 10 and 13 round mags. 15 also available. Plus the optics ready are 450 everywhere pretty much. Not sure why the iffy shield arms mags are included in the info for the Glock 43x. I would not trust them for CCW. they have way too many reported issues. seems as if there was an unfair bias with the glock. the 43x also does not come standard with the optic cut and is close to 500 at most stores for the MOS.
I carry FN Reflex most days and with the 15 rd mag there is no issue getting a full grip. I highly recommend anyone in the market for a micro look at the Reflex.
Always gets overlooked or never thought of, probably because their association as mainly a shotgun and rifle manufacturer, but I carry a Mossberg MC2sc. 6.25” OAL, cut for optics, 11+ one and 13+ one mags. Nice concealable size and love the grips. The one knock is the rail. It’s just like a Sigg P3 65 rail, doesn’t have the cross slot. I was able to find a light for it, but I wish it had the cross slot so there were more options. I went with a leather holster because, not being a big player in the market, doesn’t have a lot of holster options or aftermarket support. Love the takedown system. Unfortunately Mossberg has unlimited line of pistols, in fact, all they manufacture is the MC series in only 9 mm, so I don’t ever see them being a big player in the pistol market, but I sure do like mine. Usually right around the $400-$425 Mark but I was able to find mine for $379 at one of the local gun store. In all honesty, though, if Canik had come out with the MC, I would’ve gotten it but at the time they’re smallest option with the SC.
Springfield hellcats are extremely underrated. Perfect for pocket carry and if you want throw a 17 round hellcat pro mag in it!!! NOTHING BEATS IT AND THE RELIABILITY IS A1💯‼️
@@kylefreemason almost every gun manufacturer has made questionable statements/ supported questionable laws/politicians. Doesn’t make too much of a difference when it is the best compact 9mm on the market. Original hellcat is the only one that can compete with the Glock 27/26.
I'm a fan of the Sig P365 for its solid capacity in such a small frame, but I also think the Glock 43X deserves mention for its slim profile and reliability. At the end of the day, it’s all about what you shoot best and feel most comfortable carrying every day
I have many of those guns. I recently purchased 2 S&Ws, The Shield Plus optic curt with tritium front sight and the Shield Plus Carry comp. They are the best shooting guns I have and have the best trigger except for the Caniks I have and of course I use the 13 or 15 round mags (Thirteen included with both guns) and the grip is fantastic, they're very accurate and utterly reliable. The only one that comes close are the P365Xl with an aftermarket trigger and my Glock 48 also with an aftermarket trigger. I didn't have to modify the M&Ps in anyway. Also they have new versions of the Hellcat, Canik Mete and obviously the S&W. Even the P365 although they are pretty pricey in some cases.
Kinda oxymoron to make a micro/sub compact with 2 big handed guys. Why not invite guest (especially a female) with smaller hands? The ratings could’ve been so much different on the smaller grip guns. Especially when the most common low rating from Aaron & Kaya was based on a small grip.
My EDC is a Shield Plus Optics Ready (no safety) and I absolutely love it. I honestly can't think of a carry gun I'd want more even spending up to $1200 or so. It's light, compact, easy to carry, comfortable, great trigger, I shoot it well and actually like the stock night sights on mine.
Try carrying these in gym shorts and see which ones you can jog in without trouble. That’s why I downsized to the Glock 42 for EDC. Carrying a firearm can be very inconvenient if it’s too big or heavy. Depends on what clothes your wearing, what activities you will find yourself doing while carrying to make the right choice. Just because you “like” one particular gun based on its functions and/or looks, its not a great choice for EDC if it’s printing or dragging your shorts/pants down or flopping around or uncomfortable. Your own personal body size and shape has something to do with your choice also. If your like me 5’7 164lbs and a fit build you find it hard to properly and comfortably conceal a lot of pistols. That’s why I sold my 43x and carry a 42. And I have extra mags on me usually since it’s a low capacity pistol.
That’s why when people that ask me what the best gun is, I told them that it’s one that they can shoot well with and will carry every day. If you decide to stop carrying it every day because it’s too heavier or bulky it defeats the purpose no matter how cool the gun is
You can get pinky extensions or extended mags with mag sleeves for every single gun you crapped on for having a short grip.. None of them should be deal breakers, lol 😂
If it comes with extended factory mags (Hellcat, Shield Plus, etc.) run them with it or mention it or don't talk about the grip size. Also, if it comes with an Optics Ready version. As most do now, mention it as well.

I consider a true micro a one-hand pistol, a back-up not a main carry. In general, I really like your videos. This one is just about "small" carry pistols. A chart is a good suggestion.
The absolute best micro compact for price, features, shootability, capacity is without a doubt the Hellcat Pro Comp. I’m a Glock fan, own every Sig and have all the M&P stuff… still gotta respect the Hellcat Pro Comp as the best slimline to date.
Ok, I get complaints about the grip on the 26. A Pierce pinky floor plate solves that problem. But like you said, right out of the box. So why does the 43x get points for having availability for aftermarket mags? Right out of the box means right out of the box.
Can’t wait for the day Walther releases a slimline. The F model is the same thickness as the full sized and grip is same height as the compact. Might as well just get the regular compact. F model just has less trigger reach for smaller hands. The day they release a slimline PDP I’ll gladly replace my G48
Right now I carry a Canik elite sc. great gun . Red dot mounted . Next I’m looking at a 2011. Great triggers no choice made yet. Input from everyone would be awesome. $1500 range
I know they discontinued it. But the CZ rami is a great sub compact. It's a mini cz 75. Double/ single action, hammer fire, alloy frame. Comes with 10 round and 13 round with extended grip. 3" barrel. The alloy frame gives it a little weight to help the recoil. It definitely should be on the list!
You can literally get the M&P shield plus without a safety, with a 13 round mag that gives you a better grip, and with optic cut. Y’all scored it negatively for everything that it can come with 😂. This is wild
Hellcat osp, holosun 507k, tlr-7 sub, apex trigger and carry with 15 round mags. Works well for me. Definitely hard to get a grip with 10 round mag but much better with 13s and 15s
IMHO, the best micro on the table was the Walther. Handles well, needs nothing. But my pick would be a Beretta PX4 Sub. Sadly, discontinued. A sub that acts like a full size. Hammer fired, chunky girl. But uses f/s mags. 20 rounds if you want. A Bul Axe outshoots that Shadow Systems....At half the price.Buries any Glock..I had an LC9S.. Snappy..But a good striker that'll shoot the crappiest ammo if needed. The Mete is #2.. AWESOME. Maybe best for the price..That Rock Island? Never shot it, but I like it.
The Shield Arms 15 round mags for the 43x have had so many issues over the years and that’s the last thing I want in the back of my mind while carrying.
I have the BBR in .45ACP and I love that little hand cannon! Yeah, carry is rough, it is heavy but it is fun. As for my EDC, I went with the Hellcat Pro Comp and that is fantastic!
•Bodyguard 2.0 •Shield plus •Shield plus performance center •M&p 2.0 compact with red dot •M&p 2.0 performance center with red dot and apex carry trigger •Smith and Wesson fpc with red dot and light •Smith and Wesson m&p sport 2 ar15 with red dot and light I’m a happy smith dude that’s why every time you post a video with the most dated model smith or without using the bigger mag so you can’t fit the last finger with no reference at least to the newer model it hurts my soul 😂
Interesting I see alot of reviewers other than Honest outlaw say that the shield is snappy. Yet most people say it is the least snappy of all the carry guns without comps.
I carry the IWI Masada Slim. Good ergonomics 13+1 and can use CZ75 and Jericho mags. Shoots true and not 1 malfunction in 500 rounds so far. And cut for optics.
(+1) Also for the Shadow Systems: If you use your Shadow Systems pistol in self-defense in the US, you may temporarily or permanently lose possession of it. If Shadow Systems deems your use justified, they will replace the pistol free of charge. Something Glock doesn't do.
The HK CC9 literally came out within 2 days of this video. It's a little hard to believe that you didn't know it was coming out based on everyone else having a video about it.
Are these two guys confusing the HK CC9 that was about to be released when this video came out, with the HK SFP9CC? Am I to understand HK is releasing two ‘micro 9s’ in the USA?

The absolute best micro compact for price, features, shootability, capacity is without a doubt the Hellcat Pro Comp. I’m a Glock fan, own every Sig and have all the M&P stuff… still gotta respect the Hellcat Pro Comp as the best slimline to date.
Ok, I get complaints about the grip on the 26. A Pierce pinky floor plate solves that problem. But like you said, right out of the box. So why does the 43x get points for having availability for aftermarket mags? Right out of the box means right out of the box.
Walther PDP-F Pro for the win
Can’t wait for the day Walther releases a slimline. The F model is the same thickness as the full sized and grip is same height as the compact. Might as well just get the regular compact. F model just has less trigger reach for smaller hands. The day they release a slimline PDP I’ll gladly replace my G48
Shield plus never gets the love it deserves
I carry the Kimber R7 Mako as a micro 9 and love it. It comes with nice night sights, an excellent trigger and shoots great.
I usually carry a Springfield XDS 9 3.3”, love the feel and weight
Shield plus performance center for life
I do like my S&W CSX. Great little pistol that I carry in my pocket with a pocket holster.
The CSX is very underrated- it’s a very good choice in this category and one of the few that is hammer fired.
The Shield Arms 15 round mags for the 43x have had so many issues over the years and that’s the last thing I want in the back of my mind while carrying.
FN Reflex MRD with 13 rds
Taurus G3X with a griplaser, Canik MC9 with extended mag and red dot, or Kimber R7 Mako with red dot and 15rd mags, are my favs.
with the glock 26 it helps if you have the pinky extention mag especially if you have medium or large hands
Hellcat is awesome, the U notch is legit I’m not sure how people don’t like it. It’s so much easier to pickup accurately than 3 dots.
I have the BBR in .45ACP and I love that little hand cannon! Yeah, carry is rough, it is heavy but it is fun.
As for my EDC, I went with the Hellcat Pro Comp and that is fantastic!
One of the most underrated CZ P10sc
I think the Mossberg MC2sc deserves a spot on the table
•Bodyguard 2.0
•Shield plus
•Shield plus performance center
•M&p 2.0 compact with red dot
•M&p 2.0 performance center with red dot and apex carry trigger
•Smith and Wesson fpc with red dot and light
•Smith and Wesson m&p sport 2 ar15 with red dot and light
I’m a happy smith dude that’s why every time you post a video with the most dated model smith or without using the bigger mag so you can’t fit the last finger with no reference at least to the newer model it hurts my soul 😂
Interesting I see alot of reviewers other than Honest outlaw say that the shield is snappy. Yet most people say it is the least snappy of all the carry guns without comps.
Gx4 …best thing smoking 💯
summer carry - Hellcat w/13 rd mag
all other seasons - Glock 19
So glad the bbr is finally being shown some love
I carry the IWI Masada Slim. Good ergonomics 13+1 and can use CZ75 and Jericho mags. Shoots true and not 1 malfunction in 500 rounds so far. And cut for optics.
The G3C trigger feels that way because it is double action / has restrike ability.
Forgot the Mossberg Mc2sc. 11+1, tritium sights, red dot ready.
Micro compact guns are supposed to have small grips. Self defense scenarios don't often require a reload.
If you're not giving full information on the Shield Plus having an optic cut slide for almost a year now and that the Equalizer 15 round mag works in the Plus so you're not limited to a 10 round or 13 round mag... you really DIDN'T "do the leg work" for us.
Thanks anyway.
Guys, for part 2, include a Walther Pdp-F pro 3.5”. I love my standard F but the trigger and well of the pro made it that much better for me!

Should of grab the shield plus that's optic cut and the 13 round mag that it comes with Mt wife shoots that gun perfect you guys could have a different opinion
They come with an optic ready, night sight, 3 lb trigger AND a pinky extension in the box… i think i paid $449… and it had a $75 rebate at the time I believe.
For my EDC, it's Hellcat Pro everyday. Sometimes my CZ P01 in the winter months.
Love this series!
I like the glock 26 my pinky does hang off so I just use a longer magazine and the problem is fixed, the gun shoots like a bigger gun it's a good shooter.
my springfield xd mod 2 is perfect, flush mag 13+1 extended holds 16. although it says subcompact its more of a micro and its super soft shooting way more than the hellcat
Sig p365xl appendix. Prints less than my Glock 43 with the +3 mag extensions, and I'm rocking an sig red dot, and some mcarbo trigger kit to bring it to a nice crisp light trigger.
Bul armory sas ultralight comp chefs kiss 👌🏾 best of the best
That would be my choice if they were more available.
I liked my RIA BBR in .45, but was a tad harsh recoiling...so I would try one in 9mm.
The Bul is a Cadillac though.
@@dastarddizaster 9mm would be probably be perfect for your setup. I agree though the bul armory is pretty tough to get your hands on but if u can find one don’t let it slip past you.
I've got a glock 43x with my big hands i love the size of the frame and it's topped off with a vortex defender ccw
edc is mp shield 9mm but just ordered Sig P365 xmacro. Ran the m&p because it was the best at its time. I wanted the G43 but it’s not on the Ca roster. Thankfully today there’s slot more options for edc.
Since you don’t mention it had to be a 9mm. I think the bodyguard 2.0 is a surprisingly easy gun to shoot and the shoot ability per size per cost ratio has it as a definite winner.
You guys should try out the STR9MC Micro. I love that gun.
People sleep on Steoger for sure
