    Thx for a great video. Gives more than just the service manual. My lady just bought a Superglide, with a need to have the disc exchanged.
    I have to start from the beginning with tools and so as we go with the metric system over here in Sweden. Again thanks for vid.

    Awesome video, I myself need to get rear tire replaced and have a 2008 Fat Bob , was looking to save some money on the labor since I am a mechanic myself but haven't wrenched on bikes that often . Thanks for posting , might just do this myself and I have the service manual as well .

    • @cliffcares6455
      @cliffcares6455  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. Yea that usually works with most calibers but not this one. Harley doesn't give you any slack on the hose. That's why I swing out the inner pad like I show in the video. Then you just reverse that when installing the caliber.

      Thanks brother hey one question about the spacers. I put the groove lines facing out but I was looking at my brother's fat bob and his lines face in from factory. Does it matter? What's the purpose of the lines on the spacer? Thanks again

    I got a 2011 dyna with a weird rear wheel issue. The center line of the tire is not even with the center line of fender. Tire center line is to the right of the fender center, all spacers inplace, it's spoked what could cause this issue

      Thanks. I've done that before and get people claiming that I'm giving out wrong specs. So I leave it to people to look up their torque specs for their bike. I always suggest getting the service manual for the bike you'll be working on.

    Cliff I think I may be the next owner of that bike two owners later of that same bike!!! I live near Fort Worth and have the exact same bike with the same paint etc. Everything is the same on my bike. BTW it is a numbered paint job from Harley.

    • @cliffcares6455
      @cliffcares6455  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not too sure. It's what the Harley service manual tells to do. So, I try to follow the manufactures way.

    brake pads suppose to come off like that? when I did the front, pads were on there tight and clipped on. how does battlecruise compare to american elite or scorcher? how do you make sure the alignment? is that what the permanent marker was for?

    • @cliffcares6455
      @cliffcares6455  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rear are different then the fronts. Don't know to much about the Battlecruisers. Scorcher are Harley Davidson OEM tire. American Elite in my option are the second best cruiser tire. Second to the Michelin Commanders.

    Dude, first of all nice video. But may i ask why you touched the belt tension screw? Cant you just leave it in place, the way it is and just remove the axle so the wheel slides forward a bit and the belt becomes loose anyway? So you dont take the risk of f***ing it up with the belt afterwards.

  • @brycebhatnagar5056
    @brycebhatnagar5056 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks, how did you get the alignment though? You just used the screw gun, and the alignment wasnt set?

    • @cliffcares6455
      @cliffcares6455  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I first marked both the top of the adjustment screws. Backed them out 4 turns. Then when re-installing. Turned them in 4 turns. Putting my mark back in the same spot. Check the belt.

    In video, when re installing wheel and fitting the brake caliper (rt side), it appears that the lip of the rim at about 1 oclock has a gouge in it caused by installer fitting tire to rim, or is it just dirt/lubricant I'm seeing? Also, is that a 19" on the front? BTW, excellent video for rear wheel removal/install!

    Pull the axle first, push the wheel forward, and then you don't have to adjust your belt tension every time.

    That inner brake pad is always a pain in the ass! You can actually remove and reinstall the rear wheel without removing the caliper. I have the same bike n that’s how I’ve always done it. Good luck with whoever is doing this for the 1st time. It’ll be easier every time after that👍🏻

    • @cliffcares6455
      @cliffcares6455  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. I did finally figure that trick out. Don’t remove the caliber. Lift the bike. Then twist the wheel to clear the caliber while lifting the bike.
