Thoroughly enjoying this series, finding myself making an excuse to not start the third book because when I've read it the series will be over :). I liked hearing about your process at the end.
You can hear the quality of the dialog reflected in how in-synch the narrator is. I listen to a lot of books, even the most widely read narrators will have obvious moments when they're on auto-pilot due to predictable dialog.
It’d be cool if Valentine turned out to be a ghost, explaining her brother’s attitude as something other than patriarchal possessiveness. In the first book, Brenda seemed bad news but this book seems to be reclaiming her as someone with a suffering background irritated by Eli’s inability to speak up. Schmaltzy as it is, I like the idea of two people, marred by the exigencies of life, finding love and strength in each other.
@Angela Pepper That's the usual process your stories, plots and characters evolve when you share them with a husband who is as creative and meshugge as yourself - it's wild and joyful and a lot of fun. All the best, Angela; am looking forward to more of your wonderful novels 💜 nettie🦉
So glad this is a series. Just finished the first.
I hope you enjoyed the 3 stories! I know there are some mysteries left unanswered, and perhaps one day we will revisit these guys and girls!
@@angelapepper3010 It's so special that you took the time to reply. I love your stories are so well done. I'll be definately be here for more.

Love him lol
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the series. There are only the 3 books, but we may see more from these folks one day!
@@angelapepper3010 Ohhh I hope so it feels like it's just beginning and they have a long way to go and many questions to answer
Yeah, my man, Con is great! ;) But stay away from Valentine!

May I ask where you learned to write?
At my kitchen table, mostly. :-)
Thank you
I do love lentil roast and my grown children ask for it for special holidays. Maybe Eli’s girlfriend needs my recipe. Lol.
Hahah! I think what it really needs is bacon. :-)

That's a cool interpretation!
Great narration. And great sense of humor, Angela. How many books do you write per year?
It depends on the year! This year I've gotten busy with some other things so I've only released 1 full book so far, but I'm working on a few more. :-)
@@angelapepper3010keep up your great work and thanks for the entertainment!!
