I got to try the pre-production unit at CANJAM LDN and I do like it but not sure what to make of it, the bass rumble is very real though. I would like to spend more time with it before I make a conclusion (for ref, I daily drive a HEXA and a Prestige LTD). They're the same size as the Prestige LTD if not a bit smaller but please do not quote me on it.
@@tanjacky5780 Bassier for sure, more textured to my ear with a better rumble (possibly contributed by the bone conductor driver). The treble is a little smoother up top, but the transient is weird (I don't know how to describe it - but when brassware or a snare sound hangs in the air). I find PLTD already coloured in the bass and Treble (to my preference); it is my 'fun' travel-to-work set. Origin is easier to drive, as it comes out louder than the PLTD from the test rig provided by ThieAudio. Within their product line I still prefer PLTD over MKiii, but I can't place where the Origin belongs in their product line just yet. Not sure if that answer your question, but I do want to listen to it (Origin) again that is for certain.
The Hype series is a "true" hybrid configuration whereas Oracle Mk1-3 belong to the Tribrid series. You refer to the similar price point Thieaudio to the driver configuration.
From the Y-split down it seems the same. Unlike the Titan S2 cable, this Lyre Mini is nylon above the Y-split, which does make it more prone to microphonics but I don't really mind.
Imagine if the body of the shell was transparent with a slight touch of blue to match the face plate? I think it'd compliment the "oracle" name more, but anyways I'm waiting on mine to deliver-- considering this as a minor upgrade to my Hype 4 as having more detail and a slightly more neutral presentation. I've applied the tuning to the hype 4 and other earbuds and found the slightly "faster" bass and not as spicy upper treble, and contrastly its more "exposed" presence region to be very enjoyable.
@@Daniel-lq5qq second time I have seen this. The SM4 is quite the value. What about the Simgot EM10? I am likely going to pick up a SM4. Your recommendation is quite a draw.

It has a cleaner midrange than the Hype 4 with a bit more "weight" and contrast to the sound, bass is more isolated. vs. Dusk, the Dusk has sharper transients all around and much better vocal texturing IMO.
Yes and no. It's less bass than Hype 4, so people looking for that won't find it to be an upgrade. I think the midrange is cleaner and more transparent on Oracle, so I like it.
@@SuperReview preferably same tuning, with improvements in various technical aspects (assuming driver technological improvements). I've always thought it's odd to keep the model name but not the tuning.
This seems like quite a strong set, I hope there's a sample that I can listen to at SoCal canjam this year. I'm a bit wary of Linsoul after my negative experience dealing with their CIEM service though.
I had the Oracle OG... all of TA's bass shelves are super misleading if youre coming from any set with an actual low end. You'd have to be listening to deep house/Hans Zimmer 3-6dB louder than normal to appreciate any rumble. The Claire and Oracle line are best for real instruments but leave a lot to be desired and have certainly been overtaken under $1200 Also the TA original tribrids were all artifically wide but nose deep presentation for all material, not just the recording's particular properties.
I have an Oracle mk 2......and it is excellent. Bonus was , I got it at a great price, because experts said it 'wasn't as good as the original'. So , did Thieaudio make a mistake? Or bow to pressure? The cable provided with the MK 2 has 2 pin connections for a recessed mount as you used in the video.....however, the connection on the MK 2 shell is flush.....with NO recess, making the connection more liable to damage in handling. Award for the money really. Poor show for the money.
Honest Audiophle claims that this was supposed to be his collab but that ThieAudio snubbed hima nd stole his tuning recommendation. Check out his review, he makes claim at the end.
@@SnobAudiophile I don't think he made a strong enough argument to demand a public response. I don't doubt that he had discussions about a collab and that the discussions dropped without explanation -- that's fairly unremarkable, though I understand why it'd be disappointing. If his feedback directly resulted in the resulting tuning of the mk3, he'll need to share more specifics to make that obvious.

I think the og oracle is still pretty good I sold it a few weeks ago…I regret it.

Hi how does the oracle compare to the moondrop dusk
I like Dusk, more transparent vocals, sharper transients, more tactile bass.
Just curious for chat… if you could buy a used set of these for around 375 would you buy it? Or would you look elsewhere ?

How does it compare with I/O Volare? Similar price and similar graph or so it seems.
IMO Oracle midrange is much cleaner and spacious, stereo image is wider, and bass is more isolated. Volare is a bit more traditionally warm-vee.
