To say Revan was a complicated individual would be an understatement. His entire life was essentially a gray area. He lost his memories, TWICE, from both his life as a Jedi and his life as a Sith and then regained all them in a single moment and collapsed from the sheer overload of information. After regaining consciousness the confliction within him must’ve been immense. His Jedi side likely wanted him to immediately start atoning for all the mistakes he had made as a Sith, whereas his Sith side probably wanted him to immediately resume his conquest of the galaxy. I’d assume he probably questioned a lot what his place was after this and what role he played in the galaxy. Was he the hero or the villain? However I think that in a way Revan was essentially chosen by the Force to be the space between worlds of both the Light and Dark side through bizarre circumstances. Yes, the Jedi and Sith are complete opposites. But they both ultimately derive their power from one single source, the Force. And of course Raven does eventually learn to balance himself and was able to master both the light and dark side of the Force. And because of this I think that is what Revan ultimately believed his mission was from then on, balance. He ended up realizing that good could not exist without evil, and that evil could not exist without good. Life could not exist without death, and death could not exist without life, and the Force is what connected it all. Someone made a custom oath for Revan that I think is pretty fitting. _”There is no light or dark side, there is only the Force. I will do what I must to keep the balance. There is no good without evil, but evil must not be allowed to flourish. There is passion, yet peace, there is serenity, yet emotion, there is chaos, yet there is still harmony. I shall be the vessel that unites it all under the Force.”_
In this ,I say , both the light and dark side are 2 sides of the same coin, one cannot exist without the other and both are needed to truly understand.
@@varenshan7731 true, but it’s also important to remember trying to master them both at once would be a nearly impossible task. That’s why Revan is so special, he was able to control his complex emotions and find balance in the two polar opposites of himself. Anyone else who would attempt to do this would likely fail.
