Idaho Wolf Trapping Success - Stuck N The Rut 167

  • Wolf trapping is a lot of hard work and dedication. It is hard to take time off work to go and check traps on a regular basis. Thankfully, the house project we were work on so happens to be close to a mountain that we know very well. Travis set several different traps and thankfully one of the four footholds was successful. This wolf was trapped on private property. Predator management is important to keep wolf populations in check. Seeing the amount of wildlife returning in this mountain range is proof that predator management works. Thank you for watching this Idaho wolf trapping video, and don't forget to subscribe for more Stuck N The Rut Episodes.
    P.S: As a reminder, every region is different, some areas have wolf problems and others don't. Please don't compare our wolf and wildlife populations to Yellowstone, that is a different habitat, different ecosystem.

    Thank you all for your support. As a reminder, our goal is to manage the wolf numbers in regions where their population is excessive and having negative impact on other wildlife populations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Northwest Montana here, we’re being decimated by the wolves too. Deer, elk, moose, all very low numbers or nearly gone. I’ve gotten very serious about the wolf mitigation this year, hunting and trapping both. Foundation for wildlife management is making it all possible.

      Not just hunting activists, WEF ++ have been using the wolfs to make it so hard to live out in the country that people give up farming etc and move to the citys and this has been going on since the 70's at least and it's the exact same playbook all over the world especially where wolfs have been reintroduced go to WEF page and read more about they're plan for 15 minutt citys and it's no joke this is what they decided for us all when they meet in Davos

    Its interesting, May I make a comment, not to criticize but to help. When you lay your wax paper on top of your trap. You should crinkle it up in a little ball, then Un crinkle it and use that version of it. It holds the snow better and it won't be so noisy

    All animals need managed, here in Michigan we’ve got Wolves and as far as i know there isn’t a hunting/trapping season on them. We’ve got about 600 plus and I’m sure they are decimating the deer population in our U.P. since I don’t think there are any or enough in our lower peninsula yet. They where reintroduced or something back when I was younger.

    • @Stuckntherut1
      @Stuckntherut1  ปีที่แล้ว

      In that particular spot, the wolf in the trap could get spotted from other atv travelers in that area, so a drag would allow the wolf to get out of site in the thick trees where we could dispatch it.

    Only the people who don’t understand our land and it’s animals will complain about predator hunting. To many people see a pet dog or pet dog like animal when they see a wolf. Wolfs are nothing like your pets and are like any other creature on earth must eat to live. The problem is they eat all the other game species until numbers are so low to keep them going and move on to another peace of ground. Without people like the crew from STUCK IN THE RUT helping to control numbers all other game big and small will disappear tru time. Only when the wolf’s are killing their pets and even young kids will they see the need for predator control. But until the wolf’s are entertaining their fenced in neighborhoods causing them to be worried about entering their own yard will they see the need for predator control. When like I they have to go onto their porch and fight off Bears that break into house’s, cars and other things did people here see the need to control the numbers. So many people who have less then ten hours a year in our woods call for predator hunting to stop, it’s the folks who hunt, sleep, live and spend many hours in the mountains that understand why and how much we need predator control. They scream about taking animals from the land, but turn a blind eye to the truth and studies that have proved we must control predator numbers to have any prey animals left for man or beast to feed on. Thanks again SITR for sharing your trips, tips and knowledge of a lifetime spent in our great outdoors. Good hunting and Gods speed to you all.

      We don't need any animals for food. Plants are perfectly sufficient, as the US Dietary Guidelines now acknowledge. Anyone eating meat is just a dick, since it's completely unnecessary. Compassion is the better way.

      That is usually the fault of the trapper. If you get the traps with a gap in the jaws, the wolves won’t do that, because they can still feel their feet.
