You are the first dad I have heard call his daughters, “Buddy.” It is really sweet and much better than girlie nicknames. I love how much you are teaching them. My dad would play number games in the car, and we always helped reading maps to navigate. Besides learning important skills, it gave us self confidence and problem solving skills. I wish he had taught me some plumbing and carpentry skills.
The cake squeeze bag is meant for gypsum, rather than sand cement mortar. The wood distressing technique that dad developed is awesome. Lovely family show!
The family that works together, stays together. LOL. It's great seeing the kids learning while doing. You are good teachers. The project you have started keeps getting more difficult but in the end will pay off.
I know this is a huge sacrifice in many ways for your family, but wow, your girls are going to grow up and look back on just what a wonderful childhood they had. So fortunate.
Yes I've noticed that myself, this morning I said it again as I watched her start to work without being told. You have good children because they have a mother and father not only teaching but working along side them. May God continue to bless your family.
Haven't seen a video from y'all for several days - hope all is well with you four! I keep looking forward to the day when you tell us all that your visas have been approved!!!
The The little rocks that you’re tearing out is what they put down for a footing. The trench was probably 3 feet wide to 4 foot wide, and they poured all the pieces from the rocks and stones. They chipped. They poured it all into that trench to create a footing stone on top of stone, and then they lay the bigger stone on top of that that’s the type of footing you were tearing apart.
I just love how joyful those girls are working along side you two! I’m sure it’s not all the time but you can tell that is there general disposition and attitude toward your huge project there! That some good parenting going on right there!
I enjoy seeing your determination action Brady for doing it the right way. Saving the house esthetically will bring you unbelievable pleasure. Those girls we great to watch traveling the world! Watching them learn from you two is one of the most encouraging lessons for any parent watching.
Love watching about your grand adventure! I am near Austin, Texas and near 78 years next month. I home schooled for 24 years with 4 daughters. We bought 4 acres and I began our building. I quit a full 7 year as our primary living as an artist. My degree is art education and I consider all creatives areas of life as art expressions. My husband got a job in maintenance for our income and I began gardening and dairy goats and chickens for food and canning. I drew out architectural plans for a house while we lived in a trailer for a while. I dried in 1520 sq. ft. And canned 1490 quarts of food on my most productive summer. I was teaching while on a scaffold a lot. My husband did not know construction but was willing to do anything I showed him. I would frame a wall and he would come home from work and help me stand it up. I took my utility trailer around to remodeling sites and was able to recycle a lot of wonderful lumber for free. Our four daughters know how to use power tools and garden. Shawna. Our oldest, has her doctorate in law. Our next one, Anna, is a certified optician and has her bachelors degree in nursing with certification in wound care. Our third, Melisa, was a certified optician also but later became a hair stylist. Our last one, Stephanie, has a two year college associate degree and army military time and she has designed and done construction. She and her retired marine husband are busy turning an ex- 38,000 sq. ft. grocery store building into an air-soft arena (Cavtactairsoft.com) My daughters all learned these skills because of exposure. I removed the tv and books were the entertainment. They are all avid readers. My oldest graduated at 16 and scored in the top 1% nationally. My youngest was 7 when she scored grade 12+ on the CAT test. (I must add that her oldest sister gave her a 500 page collection of all of the old Superman comics which she spent the summer reading. I had told her that James 1 in the Bible says that every good gift comes down from the father - God - not Santa. I failed to tell her that Superman was not real. She cried when she found that out. She attributes the CAT score to her love of Superman!) My husband died two years ago of COVID at 82. I gave up a larger retirement amount by not using my degree and teaching certificate to earn money but the things I sewed into my children was worth it. I have several boards on my Pinterest account which show our gardening and construction and Art others are just collections of what I like. (Alice Hudson Roberts) keep making your videos. I love you sharing your journey with your children!
These guys are perfect parents, I watch your videos to see the progress you are making, I really look forward to them, dad is very skilled in what he's doing to the cottage, these girls are going to become great adults, we need more parents like this in this world ❤x
Absolutely the most awesome schooling your girls are getting from this wonder- filled family project! Many Many Koo dos to you both for sharing and teaching your skills with them,! The fact you are doing everything on your own with your family has to be appluaded , well done, I can't get my husband to paint a wall. So happy I came across you today :)
This was an emotional episode for me. I remember when I was little helping my dad with projects on our house. He passed away 11 years ago. I just started doing woodworking again, using the table saw he taught me with. Thank you for letting me relive the memories with you.
I was raised by a single mom. She’s my hero. I didn’t want for anything. Dad was absent by choice. It wasn’t until I was much older that I started to realize what I missed out on, not having a dad. Watching this father teach his daughters about life, love & self confidence is all my mother ever wanted for me. To fill the spaces she couldn’t do on her own. There’s a lot to be said about a father’s love & presence when it comes to daughters ❤️🌷❤️🙏❤️
Thats the most amazing thing of this channel that you are all doing this together with your girls. Its the best life school that they can have and they learn so many skills and will have so much determination to takle and finish projects.

I wish I would have learnt all these skills when I was growing up. Saves lots of money when you don't have to call people for minor things. I've painted my place all by myself but that is the extent of home renovations :-) . It would have been great to know more. Wonderful that you are teaching these girls lifelong skills and the memories you are making so amazing. Good job.

I think your expression "cement-mix " is wrong: you are making excatly the mistake you are criticising and that shouuld be concrete-mix. In any case, unless you are just making something very small, you are going to be buying sacks of cement and ballast (mixed sand and stones ) in bulk.

I’m impressed how Dad shares his knowledge with the girls and how patient he is despite numerous setbacks and disappointments. Wishing you good fortune…
Reminds me so much of my father, grandfather, and great grandfather. So much is handed down through the generations, and I'm glad that in today's world, daughters get to learn these skills, too. (I benefited from such a father) 🥰
Those girls are really into this!. I love how Alexis watches the details you do, then teach her, so intently, and Chloe is definitely gonna be your master gardener! Heather made the comment, "You can always find her in the garden". I can imagine Chloe, all grown up, writing a book called 'Find Her in the Garden', where she talks about all her family's adventures over the years, leading up to the beautiful stone house her family built together and the fabulous garden Chloe has planted around it. Lovely video!❤
Alexa, I am so proud of you, measuring, marking, and cutting all the boards by yourself. You’re amazing. 42 years ago I thought my son when he was seven and eight , I started teaching him how to use all the power tools safely when he was 40 years old. He bought a house and remodeled it completely by himself a few hours every night then he called me back over to look at it. I was amazed, I said, where do you learn how to do this he said oh, I don’t know some old guy taught me, when my granddaughter was nine years old 19 years ago I taught her how to cut metal and weld and braze and she made a Golden Gate Bridge 1 inch wide 2 feet long with the towers and each tower was made with 1/4” by 1/4”square stock with 3/16 x 3/16 welded on top of it like a post and then 1/8” by 1/8”on top that with X bracing on each tower and tiny cable running from tower to tower . She was in 4th grade . The teacher took it around to the students of the 5th &. 6th grade and told the kids, A 4th grader made this, Think about it when you do (your) book report. A little photo album of Ruby, doing all the steps want along with the bridge. Someday you might rebuild 'myour own house, Or weld (yard art) just for fun . You never know? I ‘am sure you know God has blessed you with two absolutely wonderful parents.
Do you know what makes a channel different from others creating similar content, the nobility of heart. You are a great and refreshing family. The smile of your wife is very heartfelt. Have a blessed journey.
It’s great to watch your family work & pull together & having fun along the way. No classroom setting can teach what your children are learning. Mom & dad too. Great Job. Your home is going to be incredible when completed, even if you get grey hair along the way lol
Hey Guys! You are doing a great job and it was a beautiful moment, Alexa helped Bradey she is so a confident and smart little girl. God bless all family. 🙏🙏🙏
♥ you people are amazing!! ♥ I've been watching you all afternoon. I'm exhausted!! 🤕🤒 I love the things your teaching your girls!! They are beautiful!! ♥
You are a great father and husband so patient with your kids. You are amazing working, cooking and teaching your kids on how to do things. Your oldest daughter is just like you so eager to learn and work. Like daughter like father. Great job and God Bless you all.
Wow, I can't wait for the end!! You all are working so hard on the house! I'm glad to see the girls are developing their own skills. One in the garden and one doing something else. Great work👏👏👏👏
I worked alongside my dad on so many projects growing up. I’m so thankful to him for teaching me skills that have served me all my life. You’re doing a great job with your girls .👍
Your children Re learning such great skills and great that Brady is keeping such a sharp eye on her to make sure she is doing things very safely. It can be a very dangerous tool! Great job all! The garden is providing you with food and treats!🌟
It’s hot…you take vacation whilst your kids are on school holiday and when the temps are not agreeable to work in. Americans generally have one, two weeks per year. How sad. I live in France and have lived in Spain and love long, late Summer suppers in the cooler hours. Time to share food and stories with friends and family. No gobbling on the go ! Your girls are adorable and so interested in watching you rebuild !
If y are going to live in Italy you need to embrace the Italian people…they have had those traditions for a long time. This is why we all love ❤️ Italy
Great family helping video, love seeing the girls helping to build their home. You are teaching them so much that they will carry with them throughout theirs. So wonderful to watch.❤
You two are such sweet, loving parents. You instill creativity, a good work ethic, and a deep love of life in your daughters. Italy hasn’t figured out what a treasure they got when your family moved there. You and your family have so much to offer your community. Your strong sense of family, your hard work and determination, and your vision of a better future are all remarkable qualities you take with you wherever you go.
Thanks for the video. It was worth the wait. It warms my heart to see how you've involved the girls in your rehab. Their pride in a job well done was rewarding.
I'm also just a DIYer, but there's two things I've learned. One - a concrete mixer is worth every penny. They're somewhat inexpensive and save you a ton of work. Mine has taken so much abuse and is still kicking. And two - a mortar bag won't work if you mix by hand. It took me a while to figure that out but mixing by drill was a game changer. I guess it has something to do with the consistency of it.
Love your video’s ! Love the beautiful music you add to it once in awhile. 😊 P.S. your energy is unbelievable! ! Too much work involved for most of us. 😊
have been watching you guys for a while i am just an old man who in my youth did the things that you are doing now. i saw one of your casts when you were trying to control the weeds on the walls as an old farmer extra strength vinegar sprayed or wiped on the leaves will slow or stop your problem.
I just finished watching Uncovering a hidden staircase. In that video you found a small spring in the back corner wall. I would not let that water just go under the floor. It will never be dry and you will get mold that will be bad for all of you. Build a (4"by how overlong it needs to be) cement bowl. Put a small pipe in the bottom and run the pipe outside to drain the water. It will be a lot of work but you will be thankful you did it.
Your children are sure enjoying the whole experience of the stone house and living in the mountains! It’s all a wonderful adventure for them. The memories will live with them for the rest of their lives. It’s all good. ❤
What an amazing legacy you are leaving your girls with these videos. I can imagine them thirty, forty years from now, when they are grown women in their forties or fifties, watching these videos, perhaps with their children or grandchildren. They will marvel over how skilled and hard working their dad was, what an effort both their parents made to create this lovely home for them, and how much fun they had during this time....
And the same goes for dinners! Who wants to have dinner when it's still hot and sunny? I love our late dinners in the summer❤ you will get it after living in Italy for a while😊
I appreciate never hearing you guy’s complaining! You take on each project with a grateful attitude! I think that is why we Love to watch your family! ❤️🙏🙏Blessing’s
I love that Europeans all holiday at the same time. Shows their priorities are for living and not just working and acquiring. I also get the frustration when something goes wrong, but 🤷♀️ (as you’ve done) and move on to what you can do.
If you go on like that and brake out stones at the basement you will weaken the house. Its normal that stonewalls without mortar are partially not under pressure. So if you find a part which looks weak you better make some injections of cement into the gaps. But don't take out stones, just fix them with mortar or cement. For wintertime I think you have to decide if you want to safe the old dry walls which are open for air and cold temperatures or if you close the caps between the stones which gives another look but makes it livable.
It’s amazing how skilled and mobile you are Brady…but you really should consider supporting yourself in case you fall. What you are doing is dangerous…that would be devastating.. Please take care ..you and your beautiful family.
I love to hear the church bells. Such a beautiful sound.
The skills your children learn from helping with the projects are the best gift a parent can give a child.

Time spent with Family? Priceless
That's pretty scary to see how the stones pull away so easy! I am glad you know what to do! Don't push your luck though! God be with you! Blessings 💕🤗
Amen!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I got a bit nervous when Brady kept making the hole bigger!!
@ 5:42 when said all when he said all he can do is laugh ... i felt that
The girls are adorable..Chloe is the star. the life of the party.
They display excellent attitude to work and learning.
Your children Re learning such great skills and great that Brady is keeping such a sharp eye on her to make sure she is doing things very safely. It can be a very dangerous tool! Great job all! The garden is providing you with food and treats!🌟
suas filhas dao admiráveis.. to amando seus vídeos. felicidades à todos
It’s so inspiring to see how you handle each setback and challenge with love, patience, and humor. Such a lovely family! Thank you for sharing.
I had visions of that entire wall coming down as you dug it out. Yikes!😳
I love the way you keep your children involved with the renovations.
Mortar bags work fine if you mix by hand. You have to thin the mix by adding a little more water for them to work efficiently.
@@jimmywhitlow2012 I find that it just makes a mess and weak mortar
Love your video’s ! Love the beautiful music you add to it once in awhile. 😊 P.S. your energy is unbelievable! ! Too much work involved for most of us. 😊
have been watching you guys for a while i am just an old man who in my youth did the things that you are doing now. i saw one of your casts when you were trying to control the weeds on the walls as an old farmer extra strength vinegar sprayed or wiped on the leaves will slow or stop your problem.
It's so good watching your kids learn new life skills inside and outside the house. You are a great team.
Greetings from 🇿🇦
I luv the fact the girls were part of it. They’ll never forget those memories with their dad! ✊🏾
The girls are learning so much that when you all are done, they can build their own home.
What is really cool is you all are having fun as you work.❤
Your children are sure enjoying the whole experience of the stone house and living in the mountains! It’s all a wonderful adventure for them. The memories will live with them for the rest of their lives. It’s all good. ❤
Scary how far you went with the under pinning. I guess the wall is more stable than it looks. It is wonderful how you involve the girls.
The girls are adorable..Chloe is the star. the life of the party.
They display excellent attitudes to work and learning..
I can’t wait to see finished product. You all have worked so hard.
Aww...nice sponsor planet wild...
Thumbs up 👍...lookin' good you guys.....starting to love the progress
Teaching your children life skills is the best gift you could ever give. So glad the girls are willing to learn❤
And the same goes for dinners! Who wants to have dinner when it's still hot and sunny? I love our late dinners in the summer❤ you will get it after living in Italy for a while😊
i love it the girls are finding work, real work, to be fun! good teaching parents! work is fun!
Young Vigor ... good job and for sure something you will always remember. amazing ...

That's a good thing for a girl to learn❤ use those tools girl!
Fantastic father teaching daughters 😊
Such lovely memories being made! Great episode everyone..
Thanks! We are headed for Italy in a couple of weeks. The late dinners sound scary. 😮
I love that Europeans all holiday at the same time. Shows their priorities are for living and not just working and acquiring. I also get the frustration when something goes wrong, but 🤷♀️ (as you’ve done) and move on to what you can do.
I love how the bells are always ringing in the background!
Me too! It feels like a much older ...even Medieval time in the misty past!!!
Parabéns família ❤ sucesso
It’s amazing how skilled and mobile you are Brady…but you really should consider supporting yourself in case you fall.
What you are doing is dangerous…that would be devastating..
Please take care ..you and your beautiful family.
Alexa looks like a very smart n sensible person...i salute Brady 's tenacity and persistence ...bit by bit u guys will get there...just keep going....
love your girls that happy.
