Nike has set the bar pretty high with their takedown models over the last few years, and given that the Mercurial Vapor 12 Pro is arguably the best takedown model Speed boot ever, whatever replaced it would have to be pretty special. Luckily it is!
In today's video we take a closer look at the first takedown model in the Mercurial Vapor line up, the $130 Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 Pro. It's also the first takedown model to feature a fully knitted upper! It's technically not Flyknit, the official name is "Circular Knit", but it comes surprisingly close! How does it compare to the $250 Elite model? Let's find out. Is this the best value for money Speed boot?

I think it's hard to say that one is better than the other. If you like synthetic Mercurials, you'd likely prefer the 12. If you prefer softer, knitted uppers, you'd likely prefer the 13.

Been wearing a pair of vapor 12 pro for 3 seasons now and idk if ill ever change boots. Not a rip or crack and broken in soft like leather

Vapor 12 Pro.
I have 2 pair, specifically because they beat everything except the Vapor 12 Elite.
As an avid footballer, I have to say that the 12's seem to fit everyones foot pretty well, oddly enough even wide feet. The lockdown is great, super light and although you wouldn't like being stepped on while in the Vapor 12's, they won't rip.
I lean towards the 13, mainly because I prefer the softer feel of the upper. Hard to say that one is truly better than the other.

Probably the best review I've seen on a football boot. Had a pair of mercurial vapor XIs which were really good. Opted for Adidas Copas 19.1 latest but they are so heavy after wearing vapors, off to buy Vapor 13 Pro now. Cheers

IMO the Vapor 12 Elite, I’ve tried both on and they felt so nice on feet as soon as I put them on, Vapor 13 felt a little stiffer and less responsive because the lockdown wasn’t as good. It’s still a great shoe but the takedown models are always going to be less comfortable than the top ends

I'd say the 18.1 is better, but the Vapor 13 pro is a WAY better value
Heat_Wave_ 2 the pro is a takedown model, while the 19.1 is a top end model
I'd say the pro if your a Mercurial guy. I've been wearing the mercurial for the last 8 years wearing either the top end or the first takedown model. I switched to the x 18.1 recently and I prefer the vapor pro or elite more because the barefoot touch can't be beat. In conclusion, the 18.1 is objectively better but if your a Mercurial guy or like their style get the pro or elite. Hope that helps
