- In the original Dragon Ball anime and manga, Vegeta and Goku put their differences aside in order to defeat Super Buu, fusing into Vegito! However, what if instead Goku and Vegeta fused into Gogeta instead? There are some potentially interesting changes down the line. I hope you enjoy.

Gogeta seems to be a direct counter to buu, considering buu was essentially pure evil, and stardust breaker is literally an attack that completely erases evil. It would definitely be a one shot battle

@@SmugStick yeah, especially since some people nowadays realize that the getting absorbed by Buu on Vegito’s behalf wasn’t necessary, and they could wish everyone back with the Dragon Balls. Hell, Vegito could have done the same thing, but at this point it’s funny to say that Vegito is for show while Gogeta is for results.

I like Vegetto much better than Gogeta. But the results are undeniable. In all of Gogeta's appearances, he won his fights before the end of the fusion. Vegetto never did. Be it in the original movie (against Janememba), in the Broly movie (against Broly, if he hadn't been wished away, Gogeta would probably have killed Broly in order to stop him) or against Hearts in Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Gogeta wins. I'm sad that it's the case, but he's stronger.
@@DaxMicro hell, vegito burned through an hour long fusion in 10 freaking minutes, not because of how strong the fusion was(like ss4 gogeta) but because he wasted so much energy, the only time gogeta timed out before he beat the villain was omega, because gogeta in ss4 had vegito's personality and only had a 15 minute time limit due to his strength

I believe after they defused against buu, Goku would look at the the place where buu was killed and say “that’s disappointing he died, if he was good he would’ve been a great training partner.” And then maybe Uub would be born.

He even explains it, after he purified the Negative energy he immediately went for the killing blow.

I thought gogeta used alot more energy than vegito but lasted longer.

Gogeta can use however much energy he wants for 30 minutes.While vegito defuses faster the more energy he uses but lasts longer in base form while only has 10-15 minutes in ssb.

@@johnstrife7 It could be different types of energy since the Fusion Dance is purely mortal and the Potara Earrings are godly.
Maybe it's not so much that the power runs out, but that there are safeguards in place that actively defuse people after they've used a certain amount of power with the fusion dance version not being able to detect the godly ki used by SSJGSSJ, since SSJ3 drained Gotenks dry way sooner than it normally would have, and fast draining only started becoming a problem for Vegito with SSJGSSJ.
The difference on how each fussion burns their timer is with Potara the timer are burned if you release a huge amounts of energy like Final Kamehameha exhausting the energy to sustain Vegito, while Metamoran fusion only chiped away their timer if the user powers up or in a transformation that is heavily strain the body (like SSJ3, im not sure about the SSJ4 part tbh iirc Goku nor Vegeta are strained when they're in SSJ4 form)
I like it the original way, if only because Frieza gets his ass beat by Broly for longer.

There's also Gogeta using the Stardust Breaker but we'd have to assume that it just rips and wipes out Moro and leaves the Earth relatively unscathed.

Gogeta : 30 min = cant burn out time (cuz it was never shown to burn out time in cannon events)/ takes time to power up like in the broly movie when he went ssj and it takes time-
It can burn out time what are you talking about Gotenks when he turned into a SSJ3 only stayed fused for about 5 minute's so Gogeta Blue is defusing way earlier then Vegito Blue

i have a what if for you, what if baby instead of dying was blasted into the dragonball super world, kind of like how bardock was blasted into the past instead of dying, or what if (super) broly somehow ended up in the GT world after his fight with gogeta, oh and what if goku and vegeta went super saiyan on namek?

The more ending would have been interesting since vegeta would be "the main interest" and be surprising that goku and the Z fighter losing maybe they would have dive more into that and giving them more character development

Small nitpick: Gogeta’s technique is called “Soul Punisher.” The technique were he fires many ki blasts down onto his opponent is called “Stardust Breaker”
The rain of energy attacks is called "Stardust fall", the purifying skittle attack is called "stardust breaker" but its sometimes called "soul punisher".
Both of y'all are kinda wrong. Stardust Fall is the raining ki attack, Soul Punisher is where Ssjb Gogeta throws the rainbow skittle attack, Stardust Breaker is where Ssj Gogeta(No canon) makes the rainbow skittle attack an closes his hands and makes it into glitter then throws it.
@@HentaiGod-samaActually, Soul Punisher and Stardust Breaker are the same thing. Gogeta Blue threw the attack at Broly while it was still an orb and you can briefly see the star flashes as it impacted Broly’s body before the explosion.
Vegito shouldve been in the Fusion Reborn movie and the Gogeto shouldve been in the Buu Saga. It just made more sense narratively speaking.

Nice one-shots man I enjoyed it Vegeta knowing the Fusion Dance is helpful in some parts. I think Uub would still happen, because even if Goku didn't ask for Evil Buu to be reincarnated it would still happen regardless. Anyways a good one-shots, and looking forward to the next what if.

What if Gohan turned SSJ4 at the end of the Buu Saga? Like, Buu manages to overwhelm the Spirit Bomb and Goku and Gohan runs up to save him, but like in the ToP, Gohan nearly gets killed by the Spirit Bomb and the energy breaks his limits and he tries to go Ozaroo with his tail, but he forcibly regrows it out of sheer energy overload, and turns into SSJ4 and he kills Kid Buu and like Goku, wishes that Buu was brought back but good.

I think you guys forget that Vegito defused because the potato couldn't handle his power.
Since Metamorean fusion doesn't use an object with a power limit, the fusion will always be 30 minutes. There's no reason He should've defused against Buu as fast as Vegito did, especially considering how long he was fused in Blue during the Broly movie.
This what if is suppose to happened during the Buu saga so the potara retcon and all the later stuff doesn’t happen yet.

I don’t think the fusion dance runs out with more power use. Blue Gogeta was fighting so hard he made a rift in space time dimension. It’s probably just a hard 30 minute cap.

I don’t think much would have changed. Gogeta would have probably done to the exact same as Vegito. People blamed Vegito for messing around but that was his plan to get absorbed. Then Vegito got screwed over during the black arc even though the potara fusion was meant to last an hour. Apparently it’s because they used too much energy. All of this just because they wanted to give trunks the win. If the writers wanted that they didn’t have to disrespect Vegito like that. Don’t even get me started on how gogeta didn’t immediately defuse when fighting broly. If gotenks can reduce the fusion limit by going ssj3 during the buu arc then surely gogeta who is trillions and trillions of time stronger than gotenks from the buu saga would defuse as soon as he appeared. However because it’s a movie. That didn’t happen. Rant over.
