Or both. I like to think people come into our lives romantically and not romantically for a reason as we go thru our lives. Their purpose and yours was fulfilled and now concluded. I really hurt my exgf when I broke up with her. She used to weigh 350 pounds and dated terrible men. She fixed herself, got her phd, and lost 185 pounds, and my purpose was to show her how a man can treat her and that there are good men out there. She is back dating professional dudes since she fixed herself. Anyway, that is my philosophy

It took me a year to mentally move on from my ex spouse ...
He started a serious relationship after our divorce. Only now I’m happy for him. But before I was extremely angry cause I thought that life isn’t fair.
Now I think that we all get what we want and what we can. It’s better to concentrate on your own life and thoughts cause you NEVER KNOW what happens in the lives of other people. Nobody shows their mental suffering.
Maybe your exes would “die” without jumping into relationships after breaking up with you.
Life is pretty fair if you change your mindset and try your best to reach YOUR goals without comparing yourself to others. Maybe you don’t even need a partner right now.

Me and my ex broke up around late June last year and now she is dating someone and he has moved in with her. I'm happy for her, it sometimes takes time to let things go and move on because we feel like we are not sure about the next chapter of our lives and if it is going to be as great as the one that came before, but we cannot move on to the next chapter if we keep on reading the previous one over and over again. Some people are meant to be just a chapter in our lives and not part of the whole story of ours. We can learn about life through our heartbreaks and I am sorry to hear about anyone that is going through this, it might not be easy but trust me it is going to get better.

Why does this feel like my story? 5 years together, Long distance and she just left me on 1 February and started dating someone after 4 days... I feel so hurt. Oh believe me I know this too well! Was in a 3 year ldr with my ex, he broke up with me outta nowhere with some bs excuse. Turns out “finding himself” = being in a relationship with his lab partner shortly afterwards LOL. I’m in a I wouldn’t say similar but relatable situation. My crush ghosted me after a 5 year bond that seemed to hint relationship. I used to think that my/our retirement dreams were shattered when things went downhill. But now I feel glad that we are not retired together bc he has nothing that I want. Absolutely nothing.
