  • Hi yall, here with another video regarding a mormon teaching that I have now changed in my life. My goal is not to be hateful, but to help others be free of these harmful beliefs about yourself and your worthiness. And to educate those who are curious to know more about what mormons are taught.. Hope this helps you see the pain that many Christians experience around the topic of sex. It's still something im recovering from and trying to healthily integrate into my life. Thank you for watching and reaching out. :)

I’m glad I’m not the only one with these same problems and I really appreciate the fact that you were willing to be so open, this video has helped me out a lot. I was always taught that having sexual thoughts was the same as having premarital sex, and premarital sex was a sin second to murdering someone. The guilt and depression is still something I’m trying to figure out how to get over and I denounced myself from Mormonism 2 years ago. Looking back on it, I’ve come to realize I was groomed by my bishop during those purity interviews and it sucks ass, but It’s comforting to know I’m not the only who who got fucked up.

I relate to you in this video SO much and I’m so happy to have a resource like you to grow and learn from. I’m so happy to have someone to look up to after coming to terms with that fact that I do not believe to lds faith to be true. I feel like I have to rewire my brain and have to gain a new perspective on so much and a lot of it has to do with this topic. Thank you for sharing and for being so open and vulnerable with us. I hope one day I can be as confident with myself and my body as you are! Keep it up and I can’t wait for more videos!

Thank you for making this video. I’m in the process of leaving the church right now and it’s nice to know I’m not alone in my struggles and feelings.

This shit ruins lives. People actually marry because they fucked before mairrage and a bishop or parent or the “Holy Ghost” told them to marry to make it right. Then find that person is so wrong for them. In some cases have kids and later divorce. All. Because. Of. Sex.
Or in Utah having feelings towards the same sex leading to suicide cause they just can’t change.
I used to buy in to this shit and having had sex before becoming active I lived with guilt or believing I was being punished when I became active. Then deiressed. Later realizing it was all from trying to live up to bullshit. When Joseph smith him self made it doctrine that he could marry many woman to multiply and replenish the earth. This included young girls and his friends wives. While they were on missions.
    So fucked.
Thanks fir sharing this and being so open. This is a topic that needs to be addressed. It’s probably the main reason people struggle.

The modesty argument combined with "men can't control themselves" is not different from what Muslim women are told.

*The idea of "modesty" is an absolute joke. God created us to be fully naked with NO SHAME and it was only when we started seeing the world through our eyes rather than through God's eyes that we started viewing our bodies as disgraceful. 99% of clothing has nothing to do with trying to be sexy, it's just the person wearing what makes them comfortable. Clothing doesn't influence evil actions, immoral character does.*
*Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame. Genesis 2:25*

Hey! I love your videos :)) I was just wondering, have you looked into any other denominations? I’m baptist, and I have never seen anyone being treated they way you’ve been treated by the LDS church.

Holy shit. The part about telling couples to move out is just brutal. Mormons really have the audacity to be assholes for no reason. Lmao. I love how they supposedly have a “nice” reputation, too. Glad you’re speaking out. It’s so interesting to learn from ex-religious people of all types.

Discouraging casual sex is something that I can MAYBE understand… but the problem is the LDS Church takes things way too far, to the point that adult members of the church having their first true sexual encounter with their spouse after getting married often don’t even know how sex is supposed to work

I am still in the church but there are so many things I don't agree with like women becoming goddesses, intrusive temple recommend questions and Jesus and Satan being brothers and Mormons believing in planet Kolob and no coffee and no tea

Yes their are strict on the dress code for women and men. I can say that you are yourself and should do what you want to do or wear. What you have on is appropriate. In the Bible it says that everybody that has been Baptized that it is a Temple for God. I read this in John some where.

Sex before marriage is a big no no in any church, in fact in most religions and I even know atheist who stayed virgins till they were married because they didn't believe in the idea of giving their spouse the last opportunity. It's in the Bible, in the church I went to before we joined the LDS church they even discouraged boys and girls from dancing at all. Not everyone is going to "do it anyways" it's an adult choice and requires consent from the other adult, hence it's a choice.
