This add saved me 300.00, my cable broke with my window down on my 1981 K5 , I was pissed, I had all the guts replaced two years ago . The shop did not grease the line, or spray it before connections .I did it, the window was down all the way , got it up just enough to make a little easier on the hands , thank you guy really appreciated .

Yea these videos are awesome and easy to follow and understand. I have the Brothers app in my phone. Man I love my 83 k10 but I'm thinking that it's a Christine. Tired 305 that I hoped to get at least a year out of while I save for a new crate engine. But she's so contemptible. Having a miss in the engine on hard pulls or even after shifting up a gear. Rebuilt quadrajet, new hei distributor, 2nd set of plugs because they keep fouling. I just cannot figure it out unless the coil or ignition module or even maybe the pickup coil has checked out. I know this doesn't pertain to this video but I just had to whine to my squarebody buddys

We've had trucks here with never ending Gremlins as well, it's part of the journey. If it was easy, everyone would have one and there wouldn't be anything special about it. Thanks for sharing the story, enjoy your truck!

that plastic part that twists onto the motor is junk. I found a factory cable with the metal one to replace mine. I hope someday y'all make a replacement part for this that is metal!

It's possible the factory realized this was an issue and superseded the original plastic parts with metal during a year model change. We'll look into it!

I just replaced mine but can’t it back down. Something seems to be binding

Is the cable housing firmly mouted to the holder? If the housing moves then often the cable will just twist the housing

How do I get it down to work on it .? if its stuck ?

You'll have to crawl inside the truck and remove the access panel. Then you can either access the cable and spin it with a drill or remove the 4 screws holding the glass to the regulator. One of those solutions will let you roll the glass down and open the tailgate.

What if I’m not lucky and the bitch is stuck down?😂😂 I cant get it up

If you're serious... you can still remove the inner panel and get to the cable and the bolts that hold the glass on the regulator.
