- We were in a winter storm warning where we were expecting 8+ inches of snow but only received a small portion of that. I got a new camera so I tried that out instead.

How many head of cattle do you have total mostly, Piet.just curious? New Camera seems fine.Like to see a new fresh heifer go through the parlour and be milked for the first time?
We have around 2900 cows, heifers and calves on the farm. I can film that sometime!

How manny squar m per cow in the close up group do yuo have? We will be building a new close up barn this year
About 200 square feet per cow, that includes bed pack area and manure scrape alley.
How was that storm where you talked about it the last time?🤔
The forecast called for 8" plus but it ended up being a lot less.
What do you do with your bull calves
Our holstein bull calves and beef crossbred calves are sold to 2 local farmers that raise them for beef. They are raised up to about 1400 pounds, similar to other beef calves.

We're milking 1600 cows.

Yes

Yes, we feed some palm fat.
why the calves are exposed to each other❤
Our calves go into group housing around 4 to 6 weeks old. This saves on labor and allows the calves to socialize with each other.
How much is heifer young one
I think the market for new born heifer calves is around $300.
