The cows are put inside during the winter months when there is no fresh grass. They are probably fed hay, oats, etc. until the grass comes back in the Spring?
@AHD2105 Because winter isn't a good time for most animals to be out in 24/7, there's no food for grazers like cattle and other livestock to feed on, plus all the bad weather. So they stay in barns for most of the winter once it gets too nasty to stay out. Then once spring arrives and the weather improves again, all the cows get put out in the fields again like this.

Such a beautiful and amazing sight! It literally made me cry tears of joy at what the cows were experiencing. I could almost hear William Wallace yelling, "FREEDOM!" Happy cows make me happy.
my comments are only seen by two people. Me and one other person for years now. lol
Tom, I genuinely smiled through the whole video! I live in Pennsylvania, and we have probably 75 angus next to our farm but still loved seeing this!

2:12 a little tip to get rid of the flickering lights is to turn the video settings to 30fps (or something other than 50-60) when you're filming nearby lamps
