Condolences to the family of the van driver in his forties from Lancashire who died when a tree fell onto his vehicle. What on Earth Christmas is going to be like for them.
Indeed. And there have been a few other storm -related deaths too. Horrendous at any time of the year but spectacularly poignant so close to the “merry Christmas” they would have been expecting.
Did you get The Storm Warning? The fact people have built light houses and metrological data collection systems to give you advance warning of storms including their power is an example of how people have given you some thought. Now if they tell you it's a Force 13 (Cat1) with sustained winds above 74mph and winds gusting to 98mph with 43ft sea swells. If you then decide you can habdle tahat and still go out to sea. Then I hope for your sake you really can handle it. Otherwise there is no point (Not much anyway) in people wasteing their time giving you some thought. Now down by the harbour there is a cosy solid walled pub with over night rooms where sailors can have a drink or hot chocolate. That is more thoughts for sailors. But you got to think for your self and be some where safe when the pre warned storm hits for peoples thoughts to work.
Why are people so stupid to be going there in the first place the emergency services are busy enough with helping sensible people who are in danger they don't needs idiots getting into trouble
Some members of the public are bloody thick.
They'll pay for it when they realise the damage to salt water in the electrics and air filter. Stupid sometimes costs £££.
After being strongly advised by the Met Office not to go near the sea, it looks like we have a number of future contenders for a Darwin Award.

Indeed, you can’t imagine the grief.

Were fine. Thanks.
Oh, there’s no Force 13.
Beaufort scale goes from 0-12.
I was thinking about you yesterday wondering if you would be on the sea front. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video for us all🙏🇬🇧👍
Officially I''m TH-cam retired but these biig events keep cropping up, hopefully it might all calm down soon so I can get on with other stuff.

Hello neighbour on the Grove. I don't get out much, so thank you for this video so I could get to see it, too.
Would you seriously park your car / van by the harbour
Maybe they like rust.
WHYYYYYYY, would somebody leave a van there ?, why would somebody drive around in the seawater ? .
Rot and rust central.!! Only a fool or horse would be soooo dumb..!!

That salt water is not doing them cars at favours
😂Bet the guy driving his open-topped pickup didn’t appreciate getting 40-odd gallon so sea water dumped on him!! Entertaining though…
why are those stupid people washing their cars in saltwater!!!
Veracious waves 🌊🌊🌊 hitting against the shores of time.

Porthcawl and Penarth almost like a millpond. Sky TV don't have a clue about theseaside when the weather is coming off the land,
Stay safe mate some cracking waves
No worries, just damp from seaspray, storm is still raving even now.
Certainly a few Darwin Award at risk survivors in this reel
If that’s an electric car there the battery possibly is going to erode and possibly catch fire due to the salt, at some time later.
And I thought it was bad in Plymouth. 🤔
You should be at a safer place not getting wet through
Go Home get
Get. 🍺
Rusty car with electrics that are corroded to hell ? I wonder why.
Tut! It’s like this all the time in Skeggy 👍🏼
