Bi0hazard really? I thought it was just like 7, soft and relieving but still a subtle hint of dread and despair, like the music is saying to you "ok you can relax for a minute, you're safe here but you gotta get back out there and kick some fuckin ass)
Resident Evil 2 Save Room original will always remind me of Claire for some reason, but hearing this one with a bit of RE4's save room theme, knowing RE4 will always remind me of Leon. Now this version can also remind me of Leon, that atmospheric sound is like Leon's note. It's like this version was the prequel to RE4's save room theme.
As a huge fan of the original game, I have to say this is an amazing reimagining of the original piece. It has shades of RE4 in there but maintains the presence of the iconic RE2 track while remaining in the atmosphere of new horror they're crafting. Really digging this.

I actually prefer this theme to the original RE2 theme. I understand the complaints about just getting a few seconds of the theme, but the game thrives on the quiet atmosphere whereas too much music derails from the "anything can happen at anytime" experience. As for the theme itself, it is a beautiful theme and I love the melody. Much more atmosphere in tone than the original. Like most save themes, it creates a vibe of sadness to the dire situation you are in, with a glimmer of hope.

crapgamer reviews im saying the deluxe version is 10 bucks extra, not 200. Instead of 59.99 (standard price) the deluxe is 69.99 which includes original soundtrack to swap in game
I like it. Gives me a dying light, walking dead, and re 7 vibe yet still being unique. Though it's notes are similar to that of resident evil 4 save theme and merchant theme combined with the tune and final output of re7 and re2. Similar sounding yet original. Nice 👍
This really is a great re-imagining of a wonderful theme. My only issue is that you don't get to hear it repeatedly in-game. Same with the Main Hall theme - you only hear them one time... though I do understand them going with silence through most of this game rather than having themes repeated, makes sense for this remake. but I still would've loved to hear this theme eternally while in a save room, at least. That's one of the things I always loved about save rooms in the old RE games, because it is a safe haven in a dark and dangerous place. the music helped you feel that, while at the same time being a little eerie, like it's reminding you that danger waits just outside the door. This new theme pulls that off well, just like the ones in the original games.
This game should be less scared of ambient music. The OG has some of resident evil's best music. Having even the most bare bones music makes it infinitely scarier when you get rid of the music. Hearing the hall theme and then walking into the room where you first meet the licker, and knowing something's off because there's no music is one of the reasons that sequence is so scary.
The track is good but, to be honest, I really wish they kept the original RE2 music as it had a good, characteristic soundtrack. It would have been nostalgic when playing and remind us that we are playing Resident Evil 2 remake and not a new game entirely. EDIT - I just discovered that the deluxe edition has the option to switch to the original soundtrack, a cool feature for fans of the original.
